Dont waste you money buying this for heating in colder parts of Australia – Heating is basically useless when needed most and not fit for purpose. defrost/standby. MEA say 'yes of course it goes into defrost that is normal'. Normal for a heater to not heat for 30% of the time when it is really cold and you need it the most? Give me a break. Gas ducted or even single room heaters throw out more consistent heat than this expensive unit.

Also the nighttime setting minimum is 17C. So, if you want to take the chill off the air as you sleep (say 12C or 15C), bad luck, you have to run it at 17C. Again, not much use (our old system had night settings down to 5C).

Final point - noise. The unit is noisy a. Like 'how have the neighbours not complained' noisy. And the droning pitch just cuts thru the walls. My readings show the unit runs at 70-71dB. Spec says 60dB (lol).
