Timing belt replace after 22,000km – Have a bought new 2019 Mr triton. Driving belt already squeaking after 22,000km. Told it isn't under warranty and will require $600 to replace. Absolutely appalling that a part that should last 100,000km is lasting a fifth of its lifespan and isn't covered under warranty. Told it's my problem not theirs by servicing.
Purchased in at Mitsubishi Dealers for $49,000.

Excellent value for money – 2021 GLX model is certainly the best value for money of the vehicles in this range. Very good fuel economy, excellent comfort, great extras, pent of room. Used for business and personal and fits the bill perfectly. Tows a 1800kg camper trailer well although affects the fuel economy more than I thought. All up though, very happy with the purchase, and looks great.

Sick of it – I Brought a Demo Mitsubishi Triton. The car is used occasionally. We live on acreage which has a dirt driveway only. The car sits in the carport most of the week. I have never done 4wd in it. I brought the car just as Covid Hit. So about 2 years ago now. Car is serviced on a regular basis. Since I have had to have the whole floor replaced as it came away from the sides. At one stage the senses didn't work. Least they fixed them. The seat belt light in the back keep coming on even though the seat belt was plugged in.
But my main issue is that I have been trying for near on two years for them to fix my blue tooth. They told me it was my phone so I brought a brand new phone. Guess what didn't fix it. Told me it was from dust. It is a 4WD. Have had the car in and out service centre many a time and still has not been replaced. Two years and guess what Mitsubishi still have tests that they want to carry out on my blue tooth. They won't replace it.
Purchased in for $40,000.

Has been a great truck – Bought my GLX dual cab manual new back in 2019 for a bargain price and haven’t looked back. Has been a great truck, 51000kms, no serious problems to report. The good, drive sensibly and I can get 8.5 - 9.5 litres per 100 around town. Goes great on the highway seats are comfortable and it tows my car trailer and go kart trailer well. It goes great off road! The bad, paint quality isn’t great, seems very thin. There is a resonance or something in the exhaust at around 2000 rpm that has been there since new, only really noticeable in 2nd and 3rd and I’m used to it now so barely notice it. There’s a bit of turbo lag and the best I can get on the highway is about 8.5 litres per hundred on the highway, maybe the bigger wheels and tyres I upgraded to ( 255/65 r17 ) and racks over tub affect that a bit. 6th gear is a bit too tall too, useless really when towing. But 4th and 5th work well when towing and don’t ever really drop below 100 with the trailer on, even on steep hills. No DPF issues so far, Mitsubishi seem to be the be one of the few manufacturers to get this right. However I do make sure I drive for 40 mins continuously at least once a month. Overall, I still really like the truck, can’t beat the value for money compared to Hilux and Ranger. Will keep it for a few more years at least.
Purchased in for $34,267.
