Leaking kettle – I have to say the that I was given this kettle as a gift 18 months ago but due to it leaking all over the bench I am unable to use it as I worry about electrical and water as well as everything getting wet, it seems a shame to replace it as it is still in good order and looks great but I do not have a receipt?  Show details

As I thought this was covered by the 2 year guarantee and as it's now dangerous to use. I phone Murphy Richard but was told they could only offer a replacement for £39.99 (original cost was £50 on 29th September 2015). The big joke about this offer is I can get the latest version 102032 of this kettle from Argos for £29.99. So the 2 year guarantee is of no use as I was expecting a free replacement as it's dangerous to use and not fit for purpose due to design of window. Your offer given is £10 more that the shop price! What is the point Murphy Richard customer care?

Hasn't missed a beat – I purchased this kettle a few years ago because I liked the style and appearance. It looks great in the kitchen and I like the glossy white. Tarnishing on top – Great design and being 'white' is much easier to clean than our previous uncoated stainless steel kettle. However the lid and lip appears to be tarnishing when only a few months old - not consistent with a high end brand and price. Am quite surprised that it's ageing so quickly...  Show details

Terrible, don't buy – This is the second Morphy Richards kettle I have purchased. The first one stopped working after 6 months and this one has lasted less than 5 months. Unsure about the design – I bought the kettle in a hurry based on the attractive design but when I got home, I noticed the tip of the heating rod and the strainer is made of plastic. I'm worried that the plastic being in contact with constant intense heat. That can't be a good thing for health.  Show details

about you can get the connection and the light helps you to know that it is connected, however, I do believe that shouldn't be necessary.

Leaks and dribbles – Noticed that my kettle base had water on it. Thought it was prob jus a splash when putting on the base after filling. However when I picked i t up this morning and tilted it to see how much water is in it I realised that it is leaking either from the water gague or the base. Think it is probsbly the gague. off very quickly. I am very dissapointed. Bought it with a matching toaster and thought I wouldnt need a new one for years. My previous Breville one lasted for years. Guess I will have to get it iut of the cupboard again and have odd appliances. I havent had it long - think about a year.

Any help with fixes or ways to return appreciated. I can't find the receipt... just typical it's th he one that's not there.
