Excellent wood heater – This wood heater was not our 1st choice due to price. We purchased another cheaper brand 6 months ago. It had many issues and was returned for a full refund. We then decided to get the best we could afford especially as we intended to have it for many years. This heater is cast iron and heavy, 130/160kg depending on configuration. Luckily you can install in 3 pieces.
We have it installed in a mainly glass windowed sunroom approx 6mx6m.
The heater.. it lights up very easily always 1st time. It draws well and makes minimal smoke on start up.
The damper is very positive and very simple to use and allows complete control of the flame front and fire size.
We have burnt, Red gum, hard wood and Cyprus mix with no issues of any sort. Heat output is fantastic.
The wide glass front allows for a good wide angle of radiant heat. The cast iron case radiates very good too.
We have it mounted in a corner and the internal firebricks prevent too much heat going into the rear of the case so the wall never gets overly hot behind it.
With the secondary burn fixture at the top rear you can get a good flame pattern for when you have the lights off and just want to stare in to the flames :)
Highly recommend this heater. Wish we had of got it 1st off .
Having used it now nearly every evening this winter (2016) I have noticed the fire bricks are wearing away quicker than I would of hoped. Probably 5mm behind the whole burning area. The ridges have gone completely and the material under them is very soft. Something to keep an eye on.
Hopefully replacements don't cost too much.
Second thing is staining of the glass.
This is also holding stain more than it used too. A wipe over with a wet rag dipped in the cold grey ash then with a dry microfibre cloth cleans it quickly though.

I have had one issue in the 1st 12 months. The door seal started disintegrating. After more tooing and frowing :( than was necessary.. they sent me out a new door seal. I was disappointing a rep didn't come out and fix for me. This is the least I would of expected for a top of the line heater like this. Service does not match product pricing category sadly.
