Absolute piece of garbage. Does not connect or records as it should. Impossible to play back if it does. Can't believe super cheap were selling such rubbish. Show details
Waste of money – From the beginning it always need a reset to work or connect and after 3 month of ownership it completely useless as even you reset it’s not recording or connecting. Show details
To put it Simple, this product is rubbish – Very choppy video if there's one at all. Constantly drops connection. I definitely have wasted my money. No help from the company I purchased it from either, they don't know what to do, I'm being very generous in this review, I wouldn't have given one star Show details
NCP DRM50 – Manual does not cover how to operate a two channel setup. Distributor does not answer emails or phone calls. Retail outlet does not know how system functions. Retailer does not answer phone calls or emails’ Show details
Wifi drop outs, wont connect to app – Purchased in 2021 from Supercheap Auto. After several attempts to connect I gave up and put the dashcam back in the box for the next 18 months, then after trying (several times) again, i managed to get the dashcam connected to wifi and view through the phone app, until after a short time later i can no longer get connected via the app and wifi… Read more
constantly drop outs. Though it does record (access via SD card on computer), i can not access features via the app and constantly hear the robot woman telling me "turning wifi off". I do not recommend this product.
Waste of money – Was on sale for around $160 through SuperCheapAuto. Very easy to set up and navigate the app but, the video quality is disappointing. I’ve seen 20 year old digital cameras with better quality. The frame rate sucks, stutters every 2-3 seconds. Thought it may have been a firmware or SD card issue but no amount of resetting, formatting and time wasting fixed it. Do not buy! Show details
Don’t buy – Pain to set up, video cuts in and out when viewing on mobile and when downloaded footage. Show details
POS, don't waste your money – Is difficult to use, you need to use the camera WiFi to connect, and then you have no other internet access for maps etc. Am going to throw mine into the nearest dump. Show details
Doesn’t last – The camera worked fine for around a year, After that; -Video is choppy and cuts video every few seconds. -Just stops recording randomly while driving losing minutes of footage. -Horrendously slow This product will not last Show details
Would not buy – car crash. And its didn't record. Could not get any info from phone or computer. What a waste of time this was did nothing to help me in a crash i had. Nothing . Show details
Rubbish – It you're planning on buying this dash cam , here's a tip for you .just throw the price of it out the window, at least you'll save money by not having to install it
Firmware update – I have had this camera for 6 months now. Every time I have gone to download a video I have discovered that it has not been recording and have had to format the micro sd card to get it working again. I have just been to their website and found that there is a firmware update. You need to plug the micro sd card into a pc, format it and download… Read more
the update onto it then plug it back into the camera turn it on and it installs the update. So far it seems to be working good.
just cant get wifi to connect – Had this installed a few months back and never been able to use it because cant get wifi to connect at all. Have tried redownloading phone app but no use. Interestingly the onlt=y thing that does work is the rail crossing alert that sounds AS we cross the rails... pretty useless and sorry I got it... Show details

So slow and glitchy for today’s tech – Am having issues connecting to WiFi. Had the item about 3 months now and every time I want to connect to it it’s wifi to look at video or change settings it’s an ordeal. Have to try 5-9 times then finally connects and when watching the. Idea on iPhone it’s slow and glitchy. Now can’t even connect to DVR via wifi, says wrong password although I’ve… Read more
never changed it. Tried calling for support was on hold 10 min then went to msg. Called super heap and they can’t help due to warranty. For such an expensive item the experience is frustrating. I’ve had cheap $40 dvr’s which are better. Hopefully I can get some support from Directed Electronics rather than leave a message which will end up in the ether.
Not bad, only minor restriction – Only had the cam a few days but, Pro's: great picture quality! Haven't transferred files straight from Micro SD card to PC yet, but they look good on phone and a very basic easy to navigate setup/use on app software! Cons: Not a lot of adjustment possible, certainly no exposers settings etc., Cannot disable speed logging, no mic gain adjustment. Does what it says on box and while lacking some feature a solid 7 of 10 from me atm lol. Show details
