Powered up, it immediately started recording. Flawlessly connected by wifi to my iphone and did the settings with the Mivue pro app. For some unknown reason the live view did not work and has still not shown any sign of life. Footage is easy to access and downloads quickly. However the quality of the footage so far would not be sufficient to read a number plate. As the camera records sound it is easy to record the number plate by voice, if necessary.
