The camera footage itself in daylight seems to be pretty good so the 3 stars is for that. Haven't checked night footage yet. Here's what I don't like: 1. The camera mounts on the windscreen at an angle which makes it hard to glance over to see what speed you're doing. 2. The app is the worst I have ever used. No thumbnail or quick view of the footage to work out which one to download, so you have to just download a bunch of videos to watch them to work out which one. This must be the only app where the map preview showing the location of the footage is significantly larger than the video preview so on an iphone you can't see much of the video itself because of the map preview. This means you have to download pretty much everything and then manually watch it all on your phone outside the app to find the footage you wanted. 3. It sometimes misunderstands my location. In a particular spot it often tells me it's a school zone (it's not) and starts beeping because it thinks you're going too fast in the not school zone. Tried to update the GPS settings per someone else's review but looks like the dashcam chooses which GPS system it uses and can't be overriden.
This was purchased as a replacement for my old Garmin 55 dash cam but I think I like my old dash cam better - certainly the Garmin app is a thousand times superior.
This camera has great day time footage and average night time footage, it miles better that other cameras I have used in day time. You can actually see number plates especially with the 4K surround model. There is a few negatives though, but image quality is 90% of what matters to a dash camera. This camera comes with no instructions and is one of the most complicated cameras I've had to set up. There are only 4 SD cards that Navman recommends you use with this camera and they are all hard to find and expensive. The screen is terrible . Connecting to the App is ridicules, requiring you to scan an code and set up the connection every time. The screen sits flat on the window , angling it down at the floor, the PC app never works so you have to use third party software to view images.

Excelent Dashcam Purchased the MiVue PRO 4K DC from jb hifi works flawlessly out of the box very clear footage from both front & rear cameras. Looking at buying another two for my other cars. Very happy with my purchase.

Rear Camera not working out of the box – After numerous headaches with the previous 1100 and 1200 models with the rear camera dropping out for funsies, I was stupid enough to buy their latest 4K DC hoping it would improve the situation given they ditched the imbecilic "Y Cable" for connecting the rear camera. Oh how I was wrong. Again an 8m long USB cable with no ferrite core to reduce interference. Troubleshooting steps include unwinding the whole cord to ensure EMI is not the problem. Done all that and still not working, either its EMI on the USB cable (poor design) or defective (poor quality control).
Navman did offer return and refund but would not compensate for installation/removal costs wasted by their faulty product.
