Fantastic camera in the hot sub-tropics. Am buying a 2nd – Fantastic camera. I have had mine since when they first came out. I live in Queensland in the sub tropics so hot most of the year and the car is parked outside in the sun so temps inside the car would be in the 50's. I have also visited areas where outside temperature has been 45C. This camera has never missed a beat. Never fallen off, always good… Read more · 1
pics day and night. I don't know where all of this negative feedback is coming from. I am going to buy one for our second car they are so good.
Rubbish product – After 2 years and out of warranty the unit turn itself off several times when traveling. We bought a newer model for the other car and is just as bad. The sound is gone. Will not recommended this product to anyone. Waste of money even before warranty runs out problems developed.
This is a waste of money – It starts up when it's supposed to then shuts down a few seconds later. Like others, it wasn't used for quite some time after purchase so the guarantee had run out so when I needed it on a long trip it didn't work. I can't keep pushing the start button to get anything. Even so, what it did capture I couldn't download. The software is useless.
Chinese product – After 3 month of use it suddenly refused to work. My friend just came from China and he has almost the same one. I would recommend only after proper testing. Problem with the connection to my mackbook, I guess they did it only for windows laptops as could make it work only at my office windows computer.
Rubbish – Cannot download video on to Mac, tried updates, computer cannot find to open files. Tried everything, sales people annoy me quote "yeah mate just go home plug it in everything will just appear." Crap. Could not download program to then open files. Navman is rubbish!
Don't waste your money – I bought this about 18 months ago and is on paper a fairly decent unit for the price. It's my first dash cam and it's size is about right for where it needs to be positioned on our particular windscreen. However in reality it is very fiddly to set up (time & other settings) and frustrating. I guess the trade off for the size is the tiny writing… Read more
both on screen and for the labels on the unit itself. The picture is very good for the most part - in fact I was surprised. However 720p resolution is not good enough to read a number plate unless you are directly square on and within a couple of car lengths of the target vehicle - the resolution just isn't clear enough. After about a year it stopped holding the time and date settings after the car was switched off so guessing the internal battery has had it. Soon after the case started warping and splitting in the heat. The mount has lost it's resistance so you have to tilt it back to the correct angle every half hour or so. The software is OK - it installs easily enough and got the hang of it fairly quickly but some people may find it a challenge. I wouldn't recommend this unit.
Very poor reliability – This is my second dash cam (Mivue 388) The first failed completely after a few months, it was replaced. The replacement has now failed after another 4 months. I was told that it was out of guarantee. There was nothing they could do! While they are working, they are fine, but they do not keep working! Buy Transcend.
On/Off switch fell to bits – I bought one to use when I was relocated by my work to Timor Leste and was advised to get one by a friend who had just came back. Used it for a week in NZ and got use to it, wasn't to bad to use and was happy. Came to TL and used it every day set up in vehicle. Removed it one day to review an incident and the blue on/off switch fell out, also the… Read more
internal component! Put it back in car and it seemed to work, 2 weeks later had another incident and I wanted to review the footage. No files or anything, last recording was from the 1st incident. Talked to Navman via email and they told me that physical damage wasn't covered by the warranty. Best they could do was for me to return unit to Aussie and they would charge me for the repair of it! Unit was less than 4 months old at this stage. Have gone to another brand and wont buy Navman products again.
This is crap – I got mind about 4 weeks ago it started to turn itself of while I was driving then it froze and would not turnoff.Took it back to JB and got a replacment and it went ok for a week now it wont turn on I need to reset it allways.
Useless, if I could give less than 1 star I would – Eventually got the thing working, very limited instructions provided. Worked for about two weeks, then couldn't download files to computer and couldn't turn it off. It was cheap at only $96 from JB Hifi, who incidentally sold us an incompatible SIM card, so guess when you don't pay much you shouldn't expect much. However, it is not unreasonable to… Read more
expect it to work! Initially attracted by the price, but quality is remembered long after price is forgotten. It didn't work satisfactorily. When it did work for those two weeks, the night vision was pretty bad.
Great device, great camera , just great all round – First is first after reading some of the comments on this its funny the lack of effort people really put in these days !! As shown in the booklet I ran my wire exactly the same and haven't had any issues and is in a perfect viewing space for the camera , it's mounted just under my rear view mirror and hardly even notice it . The wire isn't even… Read more
noticed I've ran it up and down around the boarder of my windscreen and then under my dash mat and down the side of my icc , eventually I'm gonna hard wire it in so there isn't any wiring running down my icc , the video quality is great and good sound for such a small device .

Stand by for review of equally useless POS Uniden product that replaced this POS.
