better than most – had for quite a while now it's been operating longer than any other dash cam ever got still, I'm confused about the device's battery's role in these dashcams is there one even present? I mean, it only turns on when power from the ignition is supplied. Show 3 replies

Parking mode doesn't work – Parking mode constantly records and does not switch off when it should so the memory card fills up. 128GB card gives me less than 24 hours before recordings are overwritten.  Show details

very capable dash cam – so the set up and installation was as expected from navman, easy to do however the multi power/camera cable for the rear camera was for me a pain, maybe 2 usb ports instead of everything being crammed into 1 cable which then goes into 1 usb port which makes it harder to move the cable where you want it but thats just my opinion. lets start with the… Read more ·  1

rear 1080p camera,a good camera with a good field of view and the sticky mount is adequate but make sure you know where you want it because removing it to put it somewhere else usually results in the sticky part ripping or losing at least 80% of its adhesivness, picture quality is ok for 1080p and should be adequate if you get rear ended to provide to your insurance company. ok back to the main front unit which says its 2160p and i was somewhat thinking yeh right....however if you use the correct sd card you will have no problems with playback, alot of people i have spoken to dont realise if your watching 2160p playback on a device which doesnt have a screen that can play 2160p the pic quality is not going to be great, it might be just me but i cannot fault this product and im sticking with this one for now. also the night time vision is good at low speed but not so great at hiway speed in dark areas but i very rarely drive at night so not a big issue for me. also something else which i give a big thumbs up for is the cigerette charger power light, this green light is small and just noticable so if you do a lot of night driving it wont light your cabin up with a distracting light. so overall if you have a budget thats not huge but still want a camera that does the job reliably this is for you or maybe not, the final decision is yours.

Not horrendous – 4k footage is fine though frame rate is only 20fps. 1080p is only 30fps. I'd give it an extra star if it were 30fps/60fps. Most of the time it's pretty difficult to read license plates while in motion but that depends heavily on having ideal lighting conditions. Not a huge issue to me as I just want to make sure there's enough visual information… Read more

to back up any claim I might have to make so I'm ok with the quality.

Event recording is meh. It works, but only records 5 seconds prior to the event and 15 seconds after. 5 seconds prior recording is not enough to capture context to an event especially if you want to manually record (you would basically have to pre-empt it to time it right).

Switching on wifi drops your recording resolution down to 1080p where it stays until you turn off wifi and manually set it back to 4k recording which is very annoying and pretty much makes me never want to use the feature.

The PC software doesn't play video on one of my computers despite following all troubleshooting steps (I'm in IT so I'm pretty sure I'm not the one doing anything wrong). It does play on another computer however. Videos can be played manually by just opening the file in a compatible media player but you lose all the functionality of the dedicated software. Navman are currently busy on a workaround but are yet to advise me what that is.

I bought this to replace my Garmin Nuvicam GPS/dashcam which was too large, and it had to have an on-screen speedo. The 760 ultra fits the bill perfectly for what I needed but if I see another dashcam with better event recording and at least as good picture quality with a large full-time on-screen speedo, I will probably buy that.

4k is only 20fps – Very annoying that they don't publish the framerate. To get 30fps (which is average - I would've hoped for 1080p @60fps for a 4k dashcam) you need to set it at 1080p or 1440p. 1600p is 25fps. Whenever you turn on wifi, it sets the recording resolution to 1080p (even if you stay on the menu without recording). Turning off wifi does not go back to… Read more

higher resolution (even if it was selected previously).

Video quality is ok - probably can't expect much for the price (dashcams are quite expensive to get good ones according to Choice).

The mount is really great though. No fiddly with 2 tightening mechanisms like another similarly priced dashcam we have. It's just firmly fixed in a ball socket - still fully adjustable but very stable (it needs to be though, because the buttons are firm too).

Mivue "Pro" app does not have a feature to manually check for updates for the dashcam. You have to hope that it prompts you if there is an update - you never know. Mivue software for viewing recordings shows a black screen with audio on my computer. Windows media player plays the recordings, but you can't continue to play the next video, and dragging the time/fast forwarding doesn't show the frames until it plays again.

isn't much better than the Navman 750 it displays 2160/1600 but most sd cards can't handle it – isn't much better than the Navman 750 wifi it displays/records 2160/1600 but most sd cards can't handle it on replay used scan disk ultra and extreme series yet to find a sd card that can cope with the 2160/1600 setting. when you replay it you get a green screen a few secs and blurs if its recorded in 1600/2160 on some of the replay wifi on requires it to switch back 1080HD. So, save yourself $70 and stick with the 750 with or with out wifi. Show details
