Excellent all-rounder – I've used Nexen tyres for many years, a good budget tyres. The N8000 were OEM on my Hyundai Santa Fe, and have been fantastic. Just ticked over 58,000 km, the last 18,000 of those towing a 1.6 tonne caravan around Australia. These are way better than the price would suggest. Will need to replace them soon and will be looking for the exact same tyre again. Show details

Fantastic budget performance tyre – Was reccommended these when replacing PZeros on my AMG A45. Can't fault the tyres for the money. decent grip, quiet and have lasted me 3 1/2 years. About to get another set. Show details

Decent budget tyres – I bought these tyres as a very cheap alternative. I paid $130 for 255/35R18. Don’t expect high performance at this price but it is good enough driving normally on the streets of Sydney. I’ve had them for 10,000 kilometres and they look like they’re in as new condition. I would buy again if I need decent tyres on a budget.  Show details

Excellent tyres for a bargain price – Had to change the front set of stock Michelin Primacy HPs as one became flat with sidewall damage. Looked up Tempe Tyres and saw these Nexen N8000s on special, since I'm no longer driving a sports car and drive sensibly, I figured high performance and good handling will play second fiddle to durability, comfort, price and obviously safety. The… Read more

reviews seem to be good on tyrereviews.co.uk so I decided to take a punt

These were installed on the front and the original Michelins were excellent for front end grip and initial turn in, despite the car being a family hauler it has always gripped well wet and dry and very responsive to steering input, I would say the Nexens are on par in this regard for the driving that I do. An added bonus is the perceptibly lower tyre noise and that if feels more compliant and doesn't seem to transmit as much shock as the Michelins did.

Can't comment on high speed performance, emergency braking or extreme weather driving, but normal wet weather performance also seems to be on par. The sidewalls on the Nexens also seem to protect the rims better from kerbing.

The Michelins wore quite quickly despite a tyre rotation every 5000km, the Nexens have a higher wear rating on paper, but only time will tell. When the rears wear out I would look into buying a matching set if they're still available.

Great Product – I have these on my BMW E46 and these have been one of the best tyres I have had on . Road grip in the wet is great. Road grip over all is great. I would recommend you consider this brand. My next set will be Nexen for sure and seems to have good wear as well.  Show details

Best tyres I have ever used in the wet – These tyres are too damn good for the small price asked. I had planned to purchase the 6000's again, didn't have my size in the day so I got these. The 6000 were pretty good but these are just superb. I've got an FPV and a heavy foot. It doesn't normally grip and it never gripped in the wet But it does now! I mean it, I can take out… Read more

like an AWD car in the wet it's crazy, has taken some of the fun away though lol.

I used to be expect the bum to come out if I touched the throttle at 80 on a wet day and it just won't do it (unless I really try to)

For the price (130ish) it's by far the best tyre out there. I've tried many from expensive to semi slick to cheap crap.

These are my preference now. Quieter than the 6000 too.

Am keen to try the one up from this the N'fera?

Anyway maybe you won't agree wit me but if you go through tyres like most rear drive cars then try these! For the price of Achilles rubbish you can get awesome rubber.

Great Tyres! – Had cheap chinese rubber on before the tyre bloke (Tyre King Nth Parra NSW) recommended these after shopping around. Like the previous comment these tyres seem made for the Commodore VE, could not believe the handling difference (front end) after fitting these tyres and a wheel alignment. Great value, great performance

Commodore VE 19" tyres – After much reading I decided to buy some Nexen tyres. My fitter (Bob Jane in William St Perth) suggested Bridgies or even Falken. I agreed that this was a risky move, but at around $200 a tyre I thought it was worth the risk. Although very new, I have to say that the ride is quite good. They certainly have a huge amount of wet road grip, equal (or… Read more ·  2

even better) to the Bridgestone. Fuel consumption seems to be notably more, that is the car is using a little more. From around a 12lt/100 to 14lt/100. I am still driving fairly gently on them, but they are directionally great. Good turn in and seem very responsive. I using the 19x245x40's. I will update as they get a few kilometers on them, but so far, no regrets at all. Very inexpensive. Good tread pattern. nothing yet
