Ninja CREAMi Deluxe 11-in-1 Ice Cream and Frozen Treat Maker NC501

I bought this because I thought it would be good for me to make dairy free icecreams, sorbets and gelatos. I've tried the normal dairy ice cream recipe from the recipe book, plus mango, mixed berry and raspberry sorbets and gelatos. All of the recipes I tried gave me a dry crumbly texture as the result, some even after a few respins. Always, the recipes were hard when I got them out of the freezer, which apparently might be because my freezer temp is too cold. My last attempt was a raspberry sorbet where I upped the sugar content, as I was reading that for sorbets, a higher sugar content makes it more scoopable. I half filled the container, froze it, turned it on to sorbet setting, and 1 minute later I saw it spark a few times inside the tub, then make a weird noise, so I turned it off quickly. I can see that something has happened to the blade and it has dropped, but I now can't get my tub out of the machine. So take it back to the shop for a refund, hopefully the sorbet doesn't leak on the way there! LOL Even if it hadn't broken, I can't say I was all that impressed with it. Everytime we wanted icecream we had to respin it from the freezer.
