Just bought this wonderful air fryer from Bing Lee Warilla . Have used this a number of times, and the stand out is amongst other things is the cooking times . It took and hour and a quarter in the oven for chicken wings , in the Ninja Foodi Smart Grill 20 minutes . If you are looking for more me time, you wont regret investing in one of these appliances. 5/5 Ninja Mrs. T. Wren Show details

I have been using this to cook with for 1.5 years. Every day. Sometimes 3 times a day. Between that and a microwave, I manage to do everything I need to. People have complained about the noise. I don't know. I've never had an air fryer before so nothing to compare to. Until I read about the noise I'd never thought about the noise. I don't think… Read more

it's invasive.

People have complained about not being able to clean the parts properly and how they've worn off the non-stick coating. I decided from the beginning that it was a grill and it was going to stain or whatever so I've made no effort to clean it like that. At the end of the day, I put it in the sink with hot water and detergent and soak it for however long. Then I wash it later. It's being super heated, you don't have to get everything off. The coating isn't coming off. Some food might stick but next time i'll give it (the food) a light spray of avocado oil. I really don't think this is a problem any different to a frypan or a bbq grill. Use silicon tools.

It has worked solidly for 1.5 years and I have no complaints. I've baked cakes, poached eggs and bbq'd ribs. Using the probe gets grilled meat perfect everytime without having to remember it. I love how quick and easy it is to use. Much better than conventional tools to do the same things.

Today we decided to hunt down the Ninja Smart XL Air Fryer AG551. We looked online and the nearest one in stock was in Port Kennedy (a good 40 minute drive from our home in Dawesville). We got there and were told by the lady that served us, that they didn't have any, not even a display one to look at. We pointed out that their system said it was… Read more

in stock. She checked again and said sorry, we don't have it! She then left us to our own devices. We were very underwhelmed by the lack of customer service and decided to have a look at our local store in Mandurah. There, at least, there was one on display. Jess served us and she was brilliant. She demonstrated what it could do and explained all the functions. She said she would check the stock and order one for us if she didn't have one. She also offered us a discount on the already discounted price and even a discount on the extended warranty. Now that's what I call good customer service. I wish we had gone there first.

I have had this product for 6 months, and could not be happier. I recently bought a second one for my caravan. It is so versatile. It cooks a perfect steak every time, I don't have an oven, so I tried using the roast setting to bake bread, and it worked perfectly. The ability to roast, and the convenient shape add to the devices benefits. Cons:… Read more

- it isn't really a griller... It basically works like an air fryer, but uses the air to heat up the grilling plate. While it does steaks perfectly, sausages come out quite wrinkly and don't feel grilled. - the grill tray can be dishwashered, but once something gets stuck on it, it can be fiddly to clean - the instructions are a bit vague, so it takes a few weeks of trial and error to get used to the features and how to cook to perfection.

Y favourite airfryer – This Ninja Foodi is great. I have a Philips airfryer that I've always liked and used but this Foodi is the best thing yet. I roasted a half leg of lamb with veggies using the probe in the meat and it was perfectly cooked. I've grilled, airfried and also made cupcakes all with success. Cleaning is a breeze. This will be my go to all the time now. My… Read more

Fantastic multi purpose oven – Had my Ninja for about 4 months and use it most days, what a fantastic appliance, I have cooked roasts and vegetable, puddings and cakes, every thing cooking perfect, I did have a little trouble getting to work out how to use it properly, I have found it easy to clean, I clean it after every time I use it, I use BBQ wipe to clean around the fan and soak the grill in hot soapy water and a heavy brush on it and the stainless steel filter Show details

Love Our Ninja – Bought an air fryer back in April to replace an old one then after a few months realised we don't use it often enough so sold it. Then after reading the reviews on the Ninja Foodi Smart XL Grill & Air Fryer decided to buy one and haven't looked back.... so veratile, easy to use and clean. We've air fried, grilled and roasted and extremely happy… Read more

with the results. Haven't had that long but always looking for things to cook with it.

Roast pork was fantastic and the temperature probe is great. Perfect crackle.

Build quality is excellent and using the cleaning instructions will ensure longevity of use.

The only negative was with delivery and communication... had to use the "Shop" app for tracking delivery... most useless thing ever... no tracking every received via the app... only when I contacted Ninja Kitchen did I get a tracking number with delivery imminent.

Way too noisy but cooks well – I would have given 5 stars if this item wasn't so loud and noisy, it's worse than a normal air fryer for the noise alone, plus I think its drawing on the power to boot up to cooking speed and the only reason I say that is, the fan in this unit sounds like its a helicopter ready to launch off your bench and it runs super fast so to me it will be… Read more

drawing the power because it was after I used it for 3 days in a row and I noticed my electricity bill was higher than expected and using this item was the only thing I did different in my billing period which is monthly bills, pity it didn't come with a star rating like larger appliances do.

But everything else is good with the unit, it was a little larger than I expected and much noisier than I was expecting, but the cooking side of things is amazing, I have tried all of the cooking functions except for the dehydrate and I will probably never use that especially if it is this item killing my power bills because dehydrate is as short as 4 hours up to 8 hours and if I used it like this then my monthly bills would costing me the same as a quarterly bill.

I am slightly disappointed if this is killing my power bills because I love to cook especially with good appliances and this cooks very well indeed, everything comes out cooked to perfection, their is no guess work, even my grilled cheese on toast was perfect a much better result than using my traditional grill.

The buzzer alerts you when the unit is at temperature and says (add food) is very handy but what I find even better is when you use the grill function it alerts you with a buzzer and it says (turn food) well it doesn't say it, it displays it on the control panel when it's halfway through cooking, nothing better than a machine telling you when to turn your food lol, I have included a pic and video of my perfectly cooked chicken fillets done on grill, FYI, they are not burnt or overcooked its the sweetness in the maple marinade and as all cooks know sweet things caramelize, but they were cooked just right.

Apart from the noise and possible over using the electricity I am happy with my item for it's cooking functions, easy to clean but bear in mind with the grill plate and all it's little wavy bits is too give it a good scrub with the brush and some water before you put it in the dishwasher, I find with my dishwasher if I don;t get off all the little baked on bits then the temperature of the dishwasher water which is very hot, it ends up setting those baked on bits and its even harder to get them off once they have a go in the dishwasher and I use the finish tablets, but that's my dishwasher perhaps not yours.

Love our grill! – Amazing product! The non stick coating has been far superior to all the Phillips airfryers we’ve gone through. We love the bake/airfryer/ grills options and use it nearly on a daily basis. Show details
