Lost trust in this D23 Navara – Bought new May 2019.Stood 7 months at dealer with diff (x5), turbo, brake booster, climate control and key fob problems. Dealer repurchased from me at 9000kms. Bought a Toyota HiLux instead even though Navara has more features and better ride and fuel consumption. Show details

Great ute but – NP300, only complaint is the paint finish is much too thin and chips far too easily, 2nd Nissan in the last 4 years and both have had the same problem, thought it was a one off, obviously not Show details

Rubbish.. buy a ldv – This car should not be allowed on our roads. It is unsafe on any road. It should be rated as 100kg payload. Which would be just the driver. Reliabity is a separate issue. 3rd set of injectors, 3rd drivers seat, half a dash .. it really is a disgrace. Show details

Oil Leaks – 1st leak was the Transfer Case , end result was replace half of the Transfer Case. 2nd leak was found during a service , where one of the rear axles was leaking. 3rd leak which i have just found is coming from the top of the motor somewhere. I had the Nissan car assit come out ( which is the racv ) and he thought it maybe the turbo. It has done 70000 klm and has been a good ute , but back to Nissan we go .  Show details

Best economy I have had – I always had Falcons before but this np300 is the most economical car I have had. My best economy was from Langwarrin to Korumburra and back, I did 6.3 litres per 100 km over about 160 km. Driving mostly around Langwarrin and Frankston, I average less than 10 litres per 100 km and that's short trips to bowls and school trips for my granddaughter. I've only just reached 20,000 km in 2 years.  Show details

Love it – We bought the ST NTec 2015/16 np300 , done so far 13,60 km's only thing I can think that I am not happy with is the high beam, yes they are bright but only let down to me is they don't shine far enough forward , easy fix with spotlights or something, apart from that , comfort and ride which I need with bad back is good. Fuel wise ( diesel) very… Read more

happy with from day 1. Living in a hilly area average around 8.1L/100 km's towing a camper we averaged 8.6 give or take loaded we had about 1 ton. Straight highway in a flatter area we ran at 7.1 L over a 265km each way trip. So no complaints there. The car has started first go every go as a new car should. Our family aren't exactly tall people nor are we the skinniest kids ranging from 22 down to 15 and plenty of leg room front and back. The glove box,, well I guess that's how they got there name as is all you can fit, cup holders if you can't find 1 then you have to much rubbish in the car. We have the sat Nav in the car , our house has been here over 25 years and it don't show the addresses on a new ca?? But Nissan have offered a free map update so hope that fixes it. Maybe the ride height could be a little higher out of the factory apart from little things like that , don't regret the purchase.

February 19th 2019 Update: Np300

Just a follow up.. had our Nissan navara np300 think it a d23 .. 2015/16 st Ntec 2 years just had 40,000 km service still running perfect.. Loving the fuel economy from it. Moved my daughter towing a loaded trailer give or take 200km,s rough guess Trailer and weight in car came to just under 1 ton ( give or take useing a 750 max trailer )some of the distance was around town, fuel economy went from normal 7.8/100 to 7.9/100 still comfy.. no regrets

Very happy – Have done about 6000km's and am very pleased with the car. Extremely comfortable to drive especially on highway and has effortless acceleration. Have had fuel economy to 6.4l/100km freeway/highway trip. Consistently sits at 7.5l/100km for mixed driving (both from car calculation). Getting about 200km /tank more than previous car Triton diesel… Read more

using identical amount of fuel. Yes the fuel gauge comes on a bit early but hasnt caused me any issues.

A few little niggling things

1. Think air con on/ off switch would be better located at temperature control knob than fan speed knob.

2. Horn is easily accidentally pressed when turning in tight spots.

3. Front window water spray is crap needs a bit more pressure behind it.

4. ST interior trim is hard to keep clean, everything seems to stick to it.

5. When taking off, 2nd and 3rd gear (auto) seem to hang on too long causing some high engine noise/revs.

Reversing camera image is very clear, thought 5" screen in ST model might be too small but is fine.

Dash layout is very good and more like a family car than a ute.

Build quality seems great, have taken a few trim panels off to fit extra power outlets and front view camera, panels have extra insulation and easily fitted.

LED headlights are awesome, could not go back to standard lights (auto lights are a bit sensitive and maybe need a little longer ON time)

Nissan roof racks (Prorack Rebadged) have no drag noise and look great.

Overall I am pleased with the NP300 and would recommend to others.

LOVING MY NP300 – Have had my np300 for 2wks and im really impressed, I wasn't sure about a diesel car after having xr6 turbo but it has plenty of torque and it suits me as I am a gardner and tow every day. Fuel has been around 9.5l/km towing around town compared to my xr6 which was 18.9l/km. I find it rides even better with load on, don't even notice tralier.… Read more

Build quality seems very good, no squeaks or rattles...doors seal well no wind noise and tyres are quiet.

Radio is good and i like the nissan connect app, but would be great if more than 1 app available for Navara St 5 inch radio.

Only thing i dont like is steering as it certainly takes more turns lock to lock than my ford did, so turning in tight spaces with tralier on is harder. Oh and wish it had gas struts for bonnet instead of stupid rod.

But overall I'm very happy and now converted to diesel utes.
