Good value but starting to show its age on the inside – There’s a lot of car influence in the new Navara, and less truck influence, which is a good thing! A car-like construction means solid overall build quality, but without the rough edges and questionable corners being cut in the name of utility. There’s no need for excessive force when closing the ute’s tray, or overly heavy doors. Instead, the… Read more
Navara’s construction makes it an approachable and excellent daily option for a wider variety of buyers than some other Utes.
The Nissan Navara ST-X starts from $55,790 drive-away.
Adding a 4X4 drive-train, Forged Copper paint and a leather interior will push that price a lot closer to the $60,000 mark.
You’re getting plenty of capacity for towing (3.5T) and a one-tonne load capacity, all without having to use leaf-spring rear suspension.
Nissan includes a 5 year/unlimited kilometre warranty with the purchase of a Navara, and also includes capped price servicing and roadside assistance.
What is immediately noticeable compared to other utes is just how refined in sound this ute is. Not just in its audio system, but also the isolation from the 2.3L twin-turbo motor.
Never faulting in its performance, there’s enough clarity and power from these speakers with less distortion at higher volumes than you might expect from a ute.
Although the Navara has managed to do away with the traditional leaf-spring suspension setup found in many of its competitors, it still retains the popular use of rear drum brakes.
Drum brakes didn’t really have an impact on the otherwise responsive and smooth brakes. Initial bite on the brake pedal wasn’t harsh, and it made daily driving with passengers seamless and relaxing.
For additional peace of mind, there’s the inclusion of autonomous emergency braking. However, it really proved to be a nuisance on my daily commute to the office as it picked the Sydney Harbour Bridge as a great place to randomly tap the brakes, preempting a non-existent crash.
This was unsettling, especially at speeds of up to 70km/h - it wasn’t a rare occurrence either, as it often did this in the same location. Other publications have reported the exact same issue occurring, so this isn’t an isolated incident or only relevant to this particular test vehicle.
The Nissan Navara produces 140kW at 3750rpm, and 450Nm at 1500-2500rpm from a 2.3L twin-turbo four cylinder diesel power plant.
I was thoroughly impressed with the performance of this engine. Not only was it smooth, but it certainly felt capable and powerful, despite just being a four-cylinder engine.
The twin-turbo setup is a more elegant solution to the traditional large single-turbo setup. It allowed for off-the-line acceleration to be linear, rather than an initial lag and then power.
Connected to the twin-turbo unit was a 7-speed automatic transmission. Despite its aged visual appearance of the shifter in the cabin, it translated that power and torque without the traditional ‘jerky’ experience.
This 7-speed auto was particularly delightful to use day to day and out on road trips. It rarely skipped a beat, and added to the overall smooth ride that the engine and suspension were capable of providing.
Doing-away with a traditional leaf-spring setup, the Navara is fitted with a multi-link rear suspension with shock absorbers.
The more complicated and sophisticated multi-link suspension setup in the Navara dramatically improves the ride quality when unladen, yet is still able to handle over a 1T payload.
This suspension setup doesn’t completely eliminate a stiff ride when unladen, but it certainly smooths out the ride quality and helps improve comfort in a ute with a proper carrying capacity.
Off-road, the suspension setup on this Navara provides a total ground clearance of 224mm, giving plenty of height to traverse any small rocks and dips on a track. This height offers an approach angle of 32.7 degrees, a ramp over angle of 23.2 degrees and a departure angle of 20.3 degrees.
That approach angle figure is very good, thanks to a redesigned front-end, however the Navara will prove to be a bit more difficult to steer out of large dips with a lower departure angle.
The Navara has a claimed combined fuel economy figure of 7.9L/100km, which is the main advantage when buying a dual-cab ute with a four-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine.
Across a 1000km road trip, I saw a fuel economy figure at 8.5L, however in the city, you can expect the 2.1T truck to return figures over 10L/100km if you’re heavy on the throttle.
The Navara’s tray measures out at a size of 1509mm x 519mm x 1560mm - the tray is wider than its length. The total payload capacity of this tray is rated at 1024kg, which is bloody impressive for a high-end ute. This beats out the less than 1T rating on the top of the range D-MAX.
The tray provides plenty of space for several items including suitcases and bales of hay. The bed-lining in the tray feels premium and robust, akin to a rubber/plastic hybrid, making it comfortable to sit in the back.
With a crew of three packed into the Navara with overnight luggage, the ute provided plenty of comfort in the way of generously padded leather seats, adjustable lower back bolstering for the driver and front-heated seats.
With a powerful twin-turbo diesel motor, buttery-smooth 7-speed transmission and comfortable interior, the Navara stacks up to be one of the better Utes to buy at the $60,000 mark. Although it's starting to show its age on the inside and will need a upgrade there to be more competitive with the Ford Ranger, VW Amarok and Isuzu D-MAX.

Complete brake failure on gravel sloped driveways and on slippery surfaces – This ute is dangerous. The brake pedal locks out and can not be pumped, pushed, forced or provide any ability to stop the wheels trom turning once the abs activates. The abs pulses so fast the brakes don't work and the wheels free turn allowing the ute to gain speed down hill without any ability to apply pressure to the peddle. Ancap, Nissan… Read more
Nz, the car dealer Nelson Bays moters all refuse to acknowledg this unbelievably dangerous fault. Their testing facilities will never pick this up.
Do not use off road on gravel.
You will die.
Once the abs activates the foot peddle is locked out, I almost bent the steering column trying to stop the brand new $70k ute from rolling through a steal gate and off a 20m cliff. I had to turn off the driveway and crash across rocks tearing off the foot rails and damaging the front guards.
The second time it happened I was backing down a small slope in a paddock to brake hard and roll a bail of hay off the tray. The abs activated, the ute continued to let the wheels turn and it crashed back into a sheep netting fence bending the rear tray door, smashing lights and damaging the undercarriage.
My 1 year old was with in range to be killed if things had been different.
Dangerous and unsafe.

Oil Leak Rear end – Car drives fine upgraded the suspension to pedders suspension. (Due to Front Bull bar nosediving) x2 warranty claims on read end seal covered. 2nd time around the oil leaked on rear end brake shoes which also had to get replaced at same time. not make cars as they use too.. other than that can't fault it. Drives well on road and off road. Fuel no where near what they advertise though is not good advertising information when is not possible.
Exceeded expectations – Was totally set on a hilux as a toyota fan but went to nissan for a quick look. The price point and features completely sold it for me. The coil springs while under a bit of scrutiny are fantastic and feels like your driving a car and doesnt bounce all over the place. Drivers assists, and looks amd standard tub liner all suckered me in. Absolutley love it for what i want it for. Show details

Not happy either – Have d23 Navara dual cab with 93000 ks on it it’s had tail shaft replaced now in getting a gearbox done and clutch which i to supply due to Nissan saying it was wear tear they had the car a month now and still no gearbox and don’t know when it will done Show details
Your warrentee work is of a very poor standard – 92k before parting with it. Due solely to your inability to address warrentee issues within a reasonable time frame. We had to fight for over 6 months to get identified warrentee issues at 80k addressed by the service department. It made us sell the vehicle and buy a ranger. My wife wanted an another Nissan. I will never give you 70k plus to be treat like crap. Show details
Nissan fobbing off older NP300's – Vehicle returned from dealer, no fault found for worn rack mount bushes, but only 200 metres on odometer after drop off to pick up! Obviously no road test. Told they have had 3 NP300's in from my wheel aligner, same fault. Okay, truck 6 weeks out of warranty, but problem not picked up at final service, not at 60,000 k's either yet. Vehicle… Read more
serviced at required intervals by dealers, I change the oil every 5,000 k's & filter every 10k. If they give the series 2, 3, & 4 5 year warranty, are they making money from the early model in repairs? Regards, Old John.

Super reliable great value ute – Great! I test drove various utes here in Australia and chose the ST-X model navara. I have had it 12 months so far and it's been wonderful without a glitch in any way. Amazing fuel economy, car like handling, luxury seating and all round great drivability. I could have spent a huge amount more on one particular brand ute for not much gain. I think the navara is by far the best overall value ute on sale here. A1+ Show details

Not as off road tough as they advertise – 2018 St-x, vehicle was towing a 13ft hybrid camper van. Van weight was approximately 2t with the gear it had in it and the ball load was measured at 185kgs loaded. The van was towed through a soft sand section of around 50 meters and then another 5kms of hard packed sand. After pulling up to enter a campsite, it was noticed that the chassis had… Read more
bent. When returned to the Nissan dealer and inspected, their decision was that they would not cover it under warranty due to it being off road. I’m sure everyone has seen the tv ads with Ute being loaded with slabs of concrete, off road tracks etc. just beware, you may not be covered
Traded the BT50 for a NP300 Navara – Feeling underwhelmed. Traded a BT50 XTR for a 2018 NP300 ST-X. It looks good, love the leather and sunroof but feeling underwhelmed overall. Negatives: - Seriously lacks power, especially when wanting to overtake on single lanes. - Fuel economy is far higher than what was listed on the windscreen. - feels very top heavy when cornering and… Read more
frustrating when you feel the cab roll out of corners. - gearbox is crunchy, and even more so when you try and shift gears quickly. Delay your change out of first and it settles slightly. - sound system lol yeah ok.
Coming from a BT50 where you have buckets of high and low power, thumping sound system and quality internal plastics, it does make me question whether or not I made the right choice. Ive only ever owned 1 BT50 after owning 2 D40 Navaras and I’ll have a serious decision when this lease is up in 2.5 years.

Worst car ever! – Rubbish car rubbish service no warranty back up Blackburn Nissan only want your money then shaft you and make excuses ignore calls. !! Awesome Ute - reliable – I bought this Ute about two and half years ago and has been awsome. Used a daily drive and also week end leasure off roading. Ute is serviced every 15-20k Only issue I have had was the reverse camera darkening and flipping. Replaced under warranty thanks to Nissan Ipswich. Happy days. Update. It has now at 63k in the Ute with no issues to reports still drives the same when I first bought it. Can’t fault it. Show details
Great ute at an affordable price – This is my second np300 stx there are a usless 4x4 standard. However a excellent daily drive. VIBRATION ISSUE - 2017 NAVARA ST-X – Purchased new in Jan 2018, vibration from the very first day, thinking it was tyre pressure or being new it will disappear as it wears in. problem persists. It’s with them now for approx 3 weeks & not resolved as yet SO FRUSTRATING. Can feel vibration in seats & body ITS TERRIBLE hate driving it. Apparently it’s a production issue which Nissan will never admit to & WHY WOULD THEY. I have read many post / forums & it is a common issue - recommend if your considering purchase then think again, do not DONT BUY.
Great ute, comfortable, reliable , affordable – 42,000 kilometers on the car and it has been great. Great economy, coil rear suspension makes it really comfortable. Been away on multiple beach and bush trips and find the twin turbo really works well in the soft sand. Cleveland Nissan have been great to deal with. 100% would buy again. Show details
Suspected turbo oil leak – I recently noticed oil spots on my driveway and occasionally smelled burning oil and smoke out of the engine bay. Booked my navara for check up with the dealer. Vibration and fuel consumption – The vehicle vibrates at 88 km to 110km from day one .. it has been in for service 4 times and the sevuice manager is also feeling the vibration .. they can’t fix it .. first they blamed the rims and tires that was supplied by them as a upgrade. again nothing the vehicle vibrates through the front seats and mores visable when taking bends on highway driving. Feels like your in a vibrating machine.. terrible . Then they suggested I add a app on my phone to test vibration.. as they tried to tell me it was exceptable .. so I did my on testing and it was shown a it wasn’t within giudlines. I have Nissan customer care and the dealer ship trying to say it’s normal. I’m not excepting it as they have said it was a problem with this series .. when I first brought it to there attention. Also we have had the manifold changed at 10,000 km as it was a known problem and haven’t made it aware to the public as yet. As for fuel consumption I’m getting 11.8 km per 100km which is terrible and that is suburb driving no where near the 7.9 combined .
30000 on the clock and no problems yet – I upgraded from a Nissan D40. I liked the exterior styling, and the SUV style interior. Certainly an improvement over the D40 interior. I hated the factory suspension, it was way to soft, and the front end bounced when going over bumps. I've been told it has been changed in later models. I put after market suspension on it and it's fantastic… Read more
now, it handles better than the D40 and other utes I drive for work. If you are thinking of buying an early version of the NP300 you might want to consider that.
It has great fuel consumption, I can get 6.8l per 100km on the highway without any difficulty. Usually around 8 to 8.4 around town. I get 950 to 990 kms out of a tank. The engine is good, especially now that it has a few ks on it. It's seems a lot quicker, and the engine revs a lot easier than it did when I first bought it. It does the job off road. I drive a new Hilux and a DMax at work, and in my opinion the Nissan is superior to the Dmax in power and features, and is on a par with the Hilux, which I think has a smoother engine.
I'm happy with the Navara, it does what I bought it for, which is towing a 6 meter boat. It does it with ease, which is surprising considering the engine is 2.3 litres, but the twin turbo works a treat, and it feels like a much larger engine. I have no problem with visibility in it. I'd buy another when it comes time to trade it in.

What a bucket of crap – Buyer beware of car and company. I recently bought an upgraded Nissan Navara from a dealership (dealership upgrades) and the thing is a danger on the road. Vibrates, loud and just unpleasant. Nissan Australia want nothing to do with it, Dealership wants nothing to do with it - there blaming each other and you won’t get anywhere. If you want to buy a 50+ vibrator - go for it. Show details
Love this car! – I simply love this car! I was wanting the new Mercedes X class based on their prototype and I’m glad I made this choice. My Navara looks awesome, it’s comfortable and drives like a dream. It would have got 5 stars only for its truck-like turning circle and the 2.3 twin turbo is a little bit under sized for a vehicle of this size. Have to say, Werribee Nissan we’re champions; would recommend them over and over! Show details

Don't Be Fooled by the Marketing – The NISSAN ST-X NP300 (YS23DDTT) has been singularly the worst experience in a new motor vehicle I have ever had. The Good: I find it comfortable to drive and easy wash and clean.
The Bad: From new the vehicle exhibited a vibration through the steering wheel at 80-100klm. Returned to dealership on 2 occasions and on the last occasion rectified. Had on occasion when the check engine light appeared and the vehicle started to accelerate of its own accord. It was like I had activated the RESUME cruise function though in this case it happened under 40km/h. I stabbed the brake a couple of times and vehicle kept accelerating albeit slowly. Just before reaching for the handbrake I stabbed the brake again and regained throttle control. Check engine light remained and vehicle remaining in limp mode. Stopped vehicle and engine. Restarted and continued home with check engine light activated though not in limp mode.
At the next visit to NISSAN dealer I reported what I had experienced over the weekend and also noted the unacceptable engine noise (15K). Check engine light cleared and no codes reported and no comment regarding uncontrolled throttle experience.
To cut a very long story short I have had some 50 communications with NISSAN AUSTRALIA and the NISSAN dealer regarding the unacceptable engine noise and to date no resolution or interest to find a resolution from the part of NISSAN AUSTRALIA.
So very, very disappointed.
Practical car, has had some floors and MAJOR dealer issues – Being a Brit based in Germany I ordered my car and drove back to the UK to pick it up. I took receipt of the vehicle and thought wow what a stunning truck. So far so good I managed to drive from Brighton in UK to the Ferry and arrived in France becoming more accustomed to the car and thoroughly enjoying some of its features. few hundred kilometres of trouble free driving and crossed the border into Germany after having driven through Belgium and holland. It was here I decided to stop off and frequent the rest room. After my rest I jumped in started up and went to pull off. And that was the. End of my Journey. For some reason my Manual gearbox had decided to kill itself. Weird as up until then it had been fine. Cut this story short after having it recovered and fixed under warranty (an absolute hassle as the car was still miles away) I finally picked it up again a few weeks later. I noticed that the surround to the gear stick wasn't fitted properly and asked Nissan to replace to replacement covers later that issue was fixed albeit with a scuff on the new surround but I bit my tongue and decided to live with it. I had to change my rear lights to European ones in order to comply with german law as it was British Army in Germany registered and it is normal practice. Dealer gave me a call telling me ready for collection, I went to pick it up and inspected the work. All the paintwork surrounding the lights was scratched. I aired my frustrations and the garage sent it for a respect. Yet another few days without my brand new car. Very annoying and all the while I was driving around in a Nissan Cube courtesy car. I don't mean to be insensitive to anyone but nissan Cubes are terrible cars, anyway back to the Navara. I ordered a hardtop Canopy for the car costing 3000€. It was fitted by the dealer and again I went to collect my car. Jumped in and went to start it up and it kept telling me the driver door was open. Turned out it was a wiring issue with the hard top loom and I had to wait for them to figure it out and fix it for another few days. (Queue the Nissan Cube again for another few days XD) eventually I finally got my car with canopy fitted and the world was good or so I thought. Turns out when it rains the back leaks like a sieve despite canopy fitted, much to the displeasure of my dog who looked pretty miffed after a rainy spell on the Autobahn. back to Nissan who up until the pint of me selling the car a year after purchase never managed to fix that issue. One day in summer I turned to Aircon on and was hit with a Barrage of smoke though the vents. Very annoyed at yet another Issue with this car back to Nissan it went. It has developed a leak which was causing oil to burn off on the hot engine and be drawn through into the cab it was fixed but not even 3 months later the issue was back and was still present upon sale of the vehicle.
I did a road trip to Sweden and found it to be ideal For the two weeks of touring and camping we did. off-road driving in it was a dream and it served me well transporting dogs, downhill mountain bikes IKEA furniture and the likes with no issues in that department. I used it to go hunting and when driving through the training area off of tracks and through the forest to gather the game I had shot it was a beast and again had no issues.
The tank is 80 litres but reads empty at after using just over 60 which is very annoying. When I bought the top spec teckna version in 2016 it didn't even have an outside temperature guage, I mean come on even my first 1993 punto had one...
On long journeys I find it can be slightly hard for the driver to get the seat into a position that provides lumbar support and gives an upright seating position without the headrest pushing your neck forward and down. It's a shame as aside from the headrest the seat would be great but it moves up and down only with it being permanently angled sharply forwards.
All in all I have to say I loved the car while it was running but have to say I am left with a sour taste in my mouth which is down to dealer support. I hope this is isolated to the German Nissan Garage I had to deal with.
I am actually moving out to Australia later this year and am currently in contact with Nissan there, pricing up a new one for my arrival. So all in all just be aware that as good a car as it is, it is by NO means without its issues.
Great Car – My Partner has had issues with cars previously and we did a lot of research into what car we would get him to prevent this from happening in the future! after all out research we decided that we would go with the Nissans Nav, and we would never look back !! we both love how it drives. the car is extremely easy to drive and smooth not only for… Read more

Excellent family dual cab with some minor faults – At 8 months and 12,000km, I have been very pleased with the np300 Navara. I haven't experienced any of the complaints I've read in other reviews, although I did suffer a diff pressure sensor fault which triggered limp mode on the highway at less than 2,000kms. wanted a compromise between hauling trailers, bikes, kayaks and camping gear around on the weekend and dropping the kids to school on the way to work during the week.
I also test drove the Ranger, Amarok, Colorado and Triton. I didn't try the Isuzu because it lacks safety features and I skipped the Hilux because I wan't impressed by the value proposition. Although I honestly like the look of the Ranger more than the others, the Navara killed it for features that I wanted - and some I never knew I wanted (heated seats!).
I most often carry large but relatively light things in the tub (about 150-250kgs) and tow an 8x5 enclosed trailer to the tune of about 1 to 1.5 tons.
I am very pleased with the fuel economy. I average about 8 to 8.5 litres per 100km around town and about 6.5 to 7 with mostly highway driving. I've gone as high as 14 with a light trailer and full tub going up a lot of hills, but that's the worst that I've seen.
I really like the interior and controls, especially the heated leather seats, sunroof and rear sliding window. These little features really set the Navara apart from the competition in my book.
The ride, payload and towing quality has been great in my experience. I've had up to 600kg in the back without any noticeable sagging and I've towed up to 1.5 tons without taking a significant dip in performance after initial takeoff. I'm very happy with the coil suspension and I'd recommend for other light to medium duty users. I think that the steering and body roll is very good for a vehicle of this size and weight.
I don't have any issue with the cup holders, DTE or fuel gauge or oil leaks and my doors don't lock automatically after exit. I like that the headrests are placed for head protection rather than lying down in the seat, but that's strictly personal preference.
I agree with others that reach adjustment on the steering wheel would be useful and that the hard plastic on the upper door interior isn't super comfortable, but I find that the centre console arm rest is ok, if a little low.
I'd add one thing to the niggling complaints list, which is the steering wheel track control button requires you to push up to advance the track - but these days music is displayed in a top down list and advancing the track down the list requires an upwards press. That's a pretty small thing, but it's surprisingly annoying on a daily basis and it's aggravated by the obvious stupidity of the design flaw.
Overall, I think that the Navara is a fantastic contender in the current market and is a great compromise between comfort, style and function for a family pickup. I've been pleasantly surprised in a lot of areas and I've only taken exception to a couple of fairly trivial issues.
Bad taste – My 3rd Navara, but 1st NP300 & last. Test drove 4 versions (all auto's), only to find drivers foot rest not fitted after delivery. Turns out Nissan in their wisdom don't think it's needed for a manual, try resting your left leg on a 400k plus point to point drive non stop. rear tub leaking – I have an issue with leaking as well. I had a canopy and drawers fitted before I picked up the vehicle. to look at the leaking then I would have to remove the trays first as the problem was most likely incompetent installation of the trays causing damage. When I had a close look myself I discovered that at the front of the tub there are holes, or more accurately two holes and a slot, manufactured into the tub forward of the rear wheel at the very top of the wheel arch, put a torch on the rear wheel point up and forward and you can see the light when you are inside the tub, when driving the water was spraying up off the tyres and coming straight into the tub. Took it back to the dealer who told me that it was my problem. I used expander foam and silastic to seal the holes. I suggest you check these out as well as it will certainly allow dust in to the back.
February 17th 2017 Update: Good vehicle but it could be better
The vehicle is a pleasure to drive, Seats are very comfortable front and back, especially the heated seats in winter, the leg room in the back is good. I regularly carry 2 to 3 good sized blokes in the back without any bitching. The leather seats get a hammering but they are standing up better than any other vehicle I have ever had. Engine is superb. Very quite with lots of power, tows extremely well. Gearbox ratios suit my driving style well, you get the feeling 1st is a bit low until you are towing, then you really appreciate it, especially up hill, off road in 4WD. The sun roof is worth its weight in gold, on hot days I leave it popped at the back with the rear internal window open and the car stays at ambient temperature. After a days work 4 to 5 sweaty smelly blokes can be hard to take in the confines of a car but with the sun roof popped you don't notice it. The air conditioning really works well and cools the car quickly even with the sun roof popped. After 32000K the fuel average is 7.6L/100k, this includes city / country general driving, towing both trailers (regularly) and caravan 2000k aprox trip and off road use. A mate has the same vehicle in auto and is running at 10.1 after similar use. We went on holiday together towing our caravans (same make and model of Van) and his comment was the auto did not know what gear it wanted to be in and kept constantly changing up and down gears. He has the same issue towing his work trailer around Sydney. He was up around 18L/100k on the trip while my manual was at 9.2. Both wives and all the kids had no problems with space or comfort.
Downsides,
Suspension had to be replaced at 6000k. It is way to soft to carry a fitted canopy, draws, tools and regular passengers, If you are a tradie like me then you need to factor in a suspension upgrade ($1870) within the first 6 months. GPS is years out off date, for example the hunter expressway was opened 4 years ago and the map shows you driving through paddocks. Makes navigating around new suburbs really hard. The rest of the software is good, especially the blue tooth. The 12V power outlets are good and get a lot of use, especially the one in the back which runs a car fridge round the clock. Steering is positive and the turning circle good for a 4WD. Rear tub leaks badly through manufactured holes put there for some unknown reason, it was OK after sealing which I had to do myself as Nissan refused. If you are going to get trays fitted then seal the holes first as its a absolute pain in the you know where to do it afterwards. Not suited for heavy off road use as the tow bar drags and gets caught up and the large bonnet seriously restricts you vision when approach obstacles. The ground clearance under the vehicle was OK just the towbar let it down. I took the opportunity to raise the vehicle when I did the suspension and it has fixed some of the issues with the towbar off road but increased the problem with the bonnet. For medium type stuff it went well. It eats up soft sand due to the power of the motor. On dirt roads it is very stable and mud is not a problem provided you have the skills required to drive in it. On Balance I really like the Navarra, My wife prefers to drive it over her Commodore. The only real issue is the GPS and its a disgrace that Nissan sell a 2016 vehicle with what must be 2012 vintage software. The suspension was disappointing but given the gear I carry not unexpected. My mate is selling his as he has had enough of the automatic gearbox. He says it is OK empty but as soon as you load it up it cant seem to work out what gear it should be in leaving it either revving its head off our bogging down. I will be keeping mine.
NP300 Navara ST-X Daul cab Sat Nav out of date Mapping software install on new NP300 st-x ,2015 – NP300 ST-X 2015 Brisbane owner ,Not happy ,Only 4 weeks of ownership When buying a brand new NP300 ST-X plated 2015 with sat nav ! Cost over $52,000 on-roads , I found out today 9/6/2016 the sat nav mapping is over four years old ,At first I thought this may have been a over site on Nissan's behalf. Boy was I wrong , Nissan Australia… Read more
doesn't want to know about unless you pay and The Brisbane dealership wants you pay extra for the privilege of having software that should have been already installed before delivery , Please be aware, this is a big Con and nissan should not be getting away with it , Customers like my self deserves better and we should get what we pay for !. paying for old mapping on a brand new car costing $50,000 ,is not good enough , Basic thing that Nissan couldn't get right ,As of today 10/6/2016 Nissan Australia Blame's the software supplier and takes no responsability .
Nissan Australia claims there sat Nav software is up to date but "Funny thing" is my four year old estate where my wife and I built our home street does not exist nor does the tunnels of Brisbane ,No reply from Nissan for a commit ! Please don't rely on Nissan"s NP300 ST-X Navara sat nav ! it will be lost too !
When buying a Brand new Nissan Please *check the sat nav unit, ask if it has the updated mapping software. But please do not take there word for it , check yourself put in a address or estate that is at least 4 years old , In doing so will save you the same problem I am having with nissan . ,don't believe sales staff they will tell you anything to make the sale happen ! .
I made the mistake of buy another Navara from the same Nissan dealer in Brisbane westside ,My contract to buy a brand new Nissan NP300 ST-X dual -Cab with 20kms in white with tinted windows , canopy , upon delivery I ended up with a NP300 st-x with over 180,00+ kms and it went downhill from there ! turned up a week and half later to have a nissan canopy fitted , the service department forgot to book my in , Very disorganized dealership .There compensation was a lawsy bonnet protector .
I am kicking myself in buy a 2015 navara NP300 ST-X .As a tradie Nissan's claims are false very false ! its not a good 4X4 , faulty fuel gauge asking to fuel up at 1/4 of a tank with 20 litres of fuel , when changing gears it still rev's high long after the foot is off the pedal , Front head rest to far forward ,no adjustments . No good for long trips unless you wear a neck brace .. Never again will I buy another Nissan .
The same Service problems are still there with the same dealership as they where three years ago ,its very sad to see in this day and age dealerships don't check the vehicle's thoroughly ie: Kms , So please make sure! you the buyer check your new car before it leaves the dealership and make sure the Kms on contract match the Speedo of the car you buy , if it does not , DON'T except it ! Make the dealership responsible . Trading in my NP300 can not come quicker enough ,,,,,,,,,Going back to ford XLT ranger at least there sat nav software is upto date ,
I spoke to my Nissan Dealership Brisbane west-side this morning 11/6/2016 and again 28/6/16… Read more (+1 reply)
Best ute I have had – Had it 6 months 20000k Great to tow heavy loads lots of power. Seems the same as my wildtrack but better fuel economy. Rear coils make a true difference in the feel of the overall ride. Suggest to upgrade the suspension as any pick up on the market needs. IRON MAN foam cell pros feel reall nice plus HD springs 2" lift is worth it for sure. Quiet… Read more
engine but gets louder under load still quieter than my other trucks. Interior is nice. Tech works better than the rest really enjoy the comp functionality. Fuel economy is really good even with all the extra weight I carry 700k + still can get 8l per 100k easy if you try city driving. 12LP 100K towing 2 ton highway. Anyone who complains that it says 5L is kidding. All manufactures are the same.
Suggestions. Safari snorkle. ▪ 2" lift ▪
Dissapointments : steering needs a bit of work. Child seat mounts are bad if you need them. Everything else is good.
Fuel tank says 80L but the warning light goes on with 20 to go and says there is only 10 left. But it is a deseil so I like that I won't run out.
Digital speedo option would be nice.
Overall much nicer than my 2015 Wildtrack. Really happy. think I will get a few more for work.
Stock radio – Will a 2018 stock radio out of a navara fit my 2016
No navigation – They have dropped navigation and make no explicit mention of this in the sales process. I did not realise until I picked up my new ute.
