Water uphill ? – Installed perfectly level, yet excessive pooling of water on drainer. Investigated to find that the lip of the drainer into the bowl is higher than the middle of the drainer. Water of course pools. No interest from Oliveri after I complained about this. Oliveri, after delaying and being pushed, `deemed the drainer to be within tolerance and not a product fault'. So they're ok with it. Be warned .. you won't be. Show details

Stained – Never used it as yet as in our new kitchen in a house we are moving into. Had this brand before / that’s why I chose it- in our kitchen in house we are selling for 10 years and no problem. I’m sure the company use cheaper stainless than before as obviously the quality is not as great as my original sink. Tried how was mentioned to clean the… Read more

I would not recommend – While the overall sink looks nice, the drain inserts have a very poor finish and let the whole sink down. My previous kitchen had a cheaper sink which looked good after 12 years of use Show details

Less than 1 month old & terribly scratched! – I have just recently finished a kitchen renovation & installed the Oliveri Diaz double bowl sink with double drainers. I am very disappointed with this product & would never buy another Oliveri product nor recommend one. It is barely a month old & it is already very scratched up. We used a plastic wash tub in the sink to prevent it being scratched… Read more

by our metal cooking pans & utensils - a plastic tub we used for more than 6 months in our washroom sink as it was our make shift kitchen & there was never a scratch. But the Oliveri sink has 4 scratch areas (photo of 1 below) that exactly match the 4 small PLASTIC feet on the tub. What kind of steel is your sink made of that it scratched so easily? Our laundry room stainless steel sink (which we have used for over 2 years) is just fine...

New isn't necessarily better – Purchased new and installed in a complete kitchen renovation November 2019, the brand selected due to it's predecessor being Oliveri in a kitchen around thirty years old and has provide excellent service. Not sure that all current stainless steel kitchen sinks suffer the same malady these days but the sinks and drainer are already badly scratched,… Read more

and the stainless steel thickness appears to be much less than the old unit. The current drain-plug/strainer design also leaves a lot to be desired as we find it impossible to strain and capture rubbish with it before escaping down the plug-hole. Purchased excellent plugs and strainers from Bunnings which do this job well, just like the old days!

Great sink, but the original basket waste rubber seals leaked – Bought a 1 & 3/4 bowl top mount Diaz stainless steel sink (DZ111-1TH) for our kitchen renovation. Has been fitted for almost 6 months. Very happy with the look and fitment of the sink, and so far the stainless steel has held up very well against scratches and regular use, and still looks great. The basket waste plugs however almost had us… Read more ·  1

regretting our purchase. Like other reviewers on here, the sink waste plugs just wouldn't hold water, and it would slowly drain out, making soaking anything in the sink for any length of time impossible. After re-seating the rubber seals, flipping and refitting them, nothing worked.

Contacted Oliveri support, and after requesting proof of purchase via email sent out 2 new basket waste plugs in the mail (shipped very quickly). The new waste plugs work perfectly, and water no longer drains out of the sink, because when viewed side-by-side the profile of rubber seals on the new plugs are ENTIRELY DIFFERENT to the originals. And the new ones actually work. I'm convinced that the incorrect rubber seals were fitted to my waste plugs originally.

My advice is, if you've got leaking Oliveri basket waste plugs like a lot of reviews on here seem to have, it is probably your seals.

Big and Beautiful – We have recently purchased the sink and it was installed almost immediately. If you have the space and want two separate drainage pans on each side of the double big bowls this is the sink for you. Stainless steel finish is faultless. Comes with accessories including a vegetable preparation board and a small disposal in which fit on top of one… Read more ·  1

of the large bowls.

We opted for this configuration rather than an under bench top configuration because friends warned us of chips their stone bench-tops incurred with the under bench-top configuration.

The large drainage pans allow you to work on one whilst dishes dry on the other.

We love how the big stainless steel sink looks against our black stone bench top.

So if you got the space we highly recommend it

Terrible Sink – We just installed a brand new kitchen and I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing one of these sinks. We had the sink put in and then we went on holidays, came home to a very marked sink with rust spots. Followed their instructions on how to clean but still did not come up great. Every time water touches this sink it marks so badly and… Read more

looks horrible even after wiping down numerous times. We had people ask if we left our old crappy sink in. For an expensive sink I was not expecting it to look so horrible after 2 weeks. Very unhappy with this sink and would not recommend to anyone. We are now left with an ugly looking and marked sink in our brand new kitchen or we pay for a new sink and get the plumber back to install which is money we cannot afford to spend. Save yourself the hassle and buy a different brand.

Oliveri sinks are rubbish & stink – I have just started using my new kitchen last Tuesday, 18th December 2017. Today is 21 December 2017 & there are 35 rust spots on my new Oliveri sink drainer. I wish I had have taken notice of the terrible reviews about this piece of junk called a sink. My old sink has never rusted at all & it is 50 years old. This terrible sink cost a fortune & it is absolute rubbish. Don’t buy Oliveri sinks. They are rubbish!  Show details

Scratch scratch scratch – Wish we has seen these reviews prior to purchasing our kitchen. Kitchen from Wallspan is outstanding, everything we ever wanted in a kitchen. Wallspan basically supplied the sink, we got the Diaz with all of the accessories. Unfortunately we have a pendant down light directly above the sink. The day after installation and the sink had not even… Read more

been used, scratches were in both bowls. We contacted Wallspan who referred us straight to Oliveri. The person there was fantastic, then we were referred to their service who tried to tell us it was wear and tear. We had not even used it. Oliveri were very good in replacing the sink. New sink installed 2 days ago. We have been very careful - why? It’s a sink!- and now at 2 days old scratches are appearing. And while we can cover the sink with the accessories like comments below you spend 30k plus on a kitchen and when told the sink is worth $800 you expect that it should withstand not even basic handling.

Four weeks old and not looking good – We installed our Oliveri Diaz 1.75 sink four weeks ago. We found the size functional and liked the look of it for a day or two but it scratches more easily than any sink I've used. After returning from two weeks holiday we noticed a small rust spot which I removed with bicarb. Since then there are four more large rust marks. I contacted Oliveri… Read more

expecting a replacement or refund, but the response was that the marks were caused by 'contamination' and I should use Jif or Gumption to remove them. My issue is that the marks appeared at all. It is a sink after all and should be able to handle water and soap and pots and pans. Surely I should not have to endure these rusty marks for the life of the sink. I would advise consumers to avoid this brand, which is a shame as it is Australian made.

Appalling Quality...Not Recommended – I recently installed a Diaz double sink in my new kitchen - the quality of it is appalling. I've used it 6 times and it has so many scratches in it, and I haven't even washed anything sharp in it... My old sink was around 20 years old and didn't have as many scratches as this new one. "Buy Australian" everyone tells me, well if this is the… Read more

quality that Australia produces, then I certainly won't be "buying Australian" again. After paying so much for this sink I would have expected better quality - Very Disappointed, and certainly wouldn't recommend Oliveri sinks to anyone.

Not worth it – Just got my sink installed less than a month ago and it's already scratched! I bought it thinking it would be more durable. I will need to resort to putting a mat on the half bowl side just for it to be useable. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Should have bought a generic sink instead!  Show details

unbelievable poor quality – Bought this from Appliances Online and installed around April 2014. Immediately realised something was not quite right, water dried on the stainless steel surface left dull stains, this never happened with my previous sinks, even another Oliveri sink that I had in the early 2000s was not like that. I enquired with Oliveri right away and was… Read more

re-directed to talk to a servicing company representative. Nothing was resolved after lengthy discussions, basically I was told to polish the sink with stainless steel polish that's normally used to clean car parts, something I didn't want to use on a kitchen sink.

After a few months of use, there are now scratches everywhere on the sink, in addition to the dull stains. I can't think of doing dishes any differently from before, but I am left with a sink, not yet a year old, looking much older than the sinks I had used for a few years. Looking at the feedback on this website, it looks like there are similar problems with other Oliveri sinks too, and starting from 2014. I suspect this can be called a manufacturing defect, or at least not acceptable quality, and customers like me may have rights under consumer law. The trouble is, a sink is not something anyone can replace easily! I hope by highlighting my problem with it, 1) someone else will re-consider buying this brand, 2) perhaps someone knows why a sink can degrade like this? What could be different when they are all supposed to be same 18/10 grade?
