Do not buy this sink. The scratches appeared within days of using. I only use a micro fibre cloth and hardly cook at all and the scratches are awful. They sent me cleaning instructions which I tried but did nothing. How about producing a sink that is fit for purpose. So disappointed. I have had Oliveri sinks in previous houses 10 years ago and they were great. Not any more. Very poor quality.

Stylish BUT Disappointing! – We bought the stylish Oliveri SN1064 Pressed Double Bowl Sink as recommended by E&S. Our Kitchen Renovation finished 4 weeks ago.I can’t believe how many scratches are on the sink already & we have been VERY careful. I even wash all my big pots in the Laundry!! This sink cost us over $1000. Now I put a rubber mat on the bottom of the sink as I want to stop the scratching!!! It’s such a shame, disappointed! Show details

Do Not Buy this SS Sink SONETTO 1072- Very Poor Quality – Purchased this new sink for a total Kitchen renovation. The previous sink had been in place for almost 40 years. How disappointed I was as this sink scratched during installation and scratches are increasing on a daily basis. A double bowl Sonetto 1072 with drainer, Also purchased bowl protectors, and fold away ss drainer to protect the sink… Read more

itself. The sink is difficult to keep clean as it water marks easily, The lugs on the base of the bowl protectors mark the sink and the water on the drainer does not drain into the bowl and just sits on the drainer. Very disappointed with the maintenance required and will not be recommending Oliveri Sinks again. My old Clark sink had fewer marks and blemishes after 40 years.

Don’t leave wet Don’t use cleansers Take care when washing items Use bottom sink protector ( additional cost but obviously essential if you want no scratch at bottom of sink ) Polish twice a week no more . Don't buy if you care about quality and appearance – Oliveri model SN1063U Sonetto Double Bowl undercount sink. I used my new sink for the first time, one wash later drained sink to find many scratches. I was devastated. My previous sink was 11 years plus old, well used. This sink is so easily scratched I can only imagine what the sink would be like after one day, one week and so forth. I had to… Read more

invest in a stainless steel sink protector. To make matters worse I bought this particular brand due to it being an Australian brand. I emailed t2 services as advised only to receive the same copied and pasted reply as others: Thank you for your email, we are sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with your sink. Scratches are not normally covered under warranty.

Stainless steel sinks will scratch; however, the surface scratches will become less noticeable as your sink ages, the first scratches will always be the most noticeable.

Over time, the sink will develop its own unique finish as light scratches blend into the sink's grain. Oliveri recommends the use of a bowl protector where possible to help protect the bowl from dents and heavy scratching.

Most minor scratches can be softened with a stainless-steel polishing cream, rub with the grain, taking care not to rub in one area. Not good enough, shoddy product. DO NOT BUY

A great example of innovation – We recently purchased a top mount Sonetto sink. We are most impressed, especially with the drainer that you can use on the bench top or in the sink. This has allowed us more bench space without sacrificing drainage. Top product. Show details ·  1

Disappointed marks even after washing – I love the look of the Oliveri sink, they are sleak with clean lines so I didn't care about the reviews I read about leaving marks... They aren't made like our parents sinks. They've taken hundreds of washes and still the sink is shiny. The oliveri sinks are dull and leave water marks, dish and plate rings. Water spots and scratches. Sinks… Read more

shouldn't need Gumption. Sinks should get a quick wipe down and they look as good as new but these sinks no matter what you use will look grotty and unclean.

Marks & Scratches After 6 Days of Install – Our new sink was installed 6 days ago we spent a lot of money on this sink and attachments, the scratching after 6 days is really bad. Sent email to T2 Services, btw is a third party to Oliveri to handle complaints, poor response from just an Admin Assistant, how does the manufacturer receive feedback on their products. Next time it will be a $80 Bunning sink at least they have their product right and over a proper warranty response Show details

Reasonably Happy except for the Chopping Board – Had this sink installed into our new kitchen around 2 years ago and have been happy with it ever since.... Yes it did seem to scratch a little easy but figured that it was being used so im not overly concerned about that issue to be honest. The reason im only writing this now is that I stumbled on these reviews in the process of looking at… Read more

purchasing 6 sinks for some townhouses that are being built and was going to go with this sink again. The Chopping Board was my pain point due to not long after using it, it started to warp and eventually cracked and discoloured badly. This has not ever happened to our other chopping boards. We threw it away and just thought to cut our loses, we did complain to Retailer however not much assistance was offered and at the time was way to busy to follow up, lazy.... I know... I have looked at the price of a replacement board and this on its own is making me reconsider the purchase of additional sinks.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY – Oliveri SN1064 Sonetto Double Bowl Topmount Sink Purchased for a kitchen refurb. So what I have done is added some images as pictures spek louder than words. At this point the sink has had the water turned on and then turned off and the sink is as the water dried the next day and the strainer after I cleaned it with windex (as suggested by… Read more

oliveri).

So then after sending them images they gave a copy paste answer here do this https://oliveri.com.au/sink-care-au

So the answer is for you to wipe down the sink after each use, how does that work on the strainer, you dry the dishes before you put them on to dry? When you wipe it it leaves smears and looks terrible.

Well that obviously didn't work and was extremely vague. so then I received this.

"I have had a chat with the Engineer today in regards to your sink. They have suggested using a product called gumption. You can purchase this from woolworths. They confirmed that it would be best to use this with an old nylon scourer or just a soft cloth. They also confirmed that you will need to rub the gumption along the grain of the metal."

So what was the solution gumption (a semi abrasive that makes the sink oxidise) so then clean the brand new sink with gumption and then windex to get the black oxidising off the whole sink. Buy a new sink then scrub it to get water marks off. Seriously. There is no empathy with after sales care they don't care, they just copy and paste answers to try and make you go away.

So lets refresh, I have contacted Oliveri so please don'y copy and paste you we care crap onto my comment as you actually don't. This sink is not fit for purpose, it marks every single time.

Unless you never use the sink then don't buy. So this $900 piece of rubbish would I recommend it? NO NO NO.

WARNING: STAY AWAY – Why oh why didn’t I read the reviews online before choosing the Oliveri Sonetto sink for our new $50,000 kitchen! The sink that I thought was going to be my dream sink has turned into my nightmare sink! The first Sonetto sink that was delivered in its box was totally covered in scratches and marks. This was sent back to Oliveri and another… Read more

Sonetto sink replaced it. The replaced Sonetto sink appeared to be new looking. Within days of installation, scratches started to appear everywhere in the left hand side of the Sonetto sink which I was using. Immediately, I covered the right hand side the Sonetto sink and do not use it at all.

I rang Customer Service and was given cleaning advice. I even searched on YouTube to try and find some more tips on getting rid of the scratches.

I now have to put EVERYTHING straight into the dishwasher bypassing using the Sonetto sink because of the high scratching. Heaven forbid if I tried to actually wash up in it!

The only way I can keep the Sonetto sink looking a bit decent is by using the imported powder cleaner from America called Barkeeper’s Friend with a green scouring pad going with the grain. I bought it at the either at Coles or Woolies. I have to do this nearly every other day.

This Sonetto sink cost $1,000. My 40 year old Clark sink would run rings around the Sonetto sink at a fraction of the price from Bunnings.

I am never going to be able to use the right hand side of my Sonetto sink just in case my husband and I decide to sell our home and I can cover the scratchy side,

Boy oh boy, what a big let down the Sonetto sink has been! My advice is, buyer beware! Read all the really bad reviews the Sonetto sink has received and look elsewhere and save yourself a lot of disappointment and grief. It would cost a small fortune to have the Sonetto sink replaced.

Just a note to Oliveri. Please do not insult me by posting your pat little customer reply under my review.

Your Australian manufactured Sonetto sink, most probably made with cheap Chinese stainless steel, should be taken off the market so that people can no longer be duped into buying an excessively scratchy, sub-standard, over-priced product.

Very poor quality – I can't begin to describe how disappointing this sink is. I would never have bought it in the first place but "she who must be obeyed" really wanted it so we ended up getting it for our kitchen renovations. Now bare in mind this is a sink that comes with a RRP in excess of $1100 so you would expect it to be pretty damn good. Personally for that… Read more

price i would expect it to make my breakfast every day as well but as it turns out it does little to impress.

The very first time it had water in it the bowl immediately discoloured. It wasn't much but it was a permanent yellowing caused by nothing more than tap water, no detergents or anything else. We didn't even fill the sink, just used a new chux wipe and clean water to wipe it.

I was in disbelief.

Further more if you even LOOK at it hard it will scratch so don't even think about trying to keep it looking nice as it simply isn't possible as the surface stains and marks so easily.

The fall to the wastes is too shallow so any debris in the sink will simply sit where it is and not find it's way to the strainers which in turn don't fit properly so anything that does actually get there simply bypasses them and goes down the drain anyhow.

Fortunately i had already seen the terrible reviews Oliveri tapware had received so i had purchased a different brand (very happy with that choice).

Frankly i wish i had of forced the issue and simply bought a sink from Bunnings.

Do yourself a favour. Have a look at how many terrible reviews there are for products wearing the Oliveri brand name. Sure, some people might be lucky and happy with their purchase but with so many negative reviews and issues with quality do you really want to spend so much money on something and pray you're one of the lucky ones?

Now, if they were a cheap product maybe you would expect these kind of reviews but for an extremely expensive brand that should be of a very high quality it simply isn't acceptable.

Save you money and buy something (anything) else.

Sleek looking sink with good sized drainer – We are happy with our Oliveri Sonetto sink SN1071 which was installed a month ago. single fixed drainer. Do we have any scratches or rust marks yet? Definitely no rust marks and just the usual light scratches on the base of the sinks which you get when you wash dishes in a stainless steel sink. I looked at my 23 year old Clark sink before it was removed and it was covered in a multitude of small scratches so I don't think this is a new problem but perhaps the scratches are more obvious to people these days because stainless steel sinks tend to be shinier than they used to be.

Love the look and feel, but scratches easily - disappointed – Brand new kitchen and sink replaced as it was about 20 years old. Thought I'd be getting a lovely new product, and I'm happy with everything apart from after the very first use in was marked with significant scratches. These are not just minor scuffs, but severe marks. Very disappointing when you can buy an Ikea sink for $150 that doesn't mark like this!  Show details

My worst renovation decision – I did a kitchen renovation 7 years ago and put in a Franke sink and had no issues. Misleading advertising – The company trades on its “Australian made” reputation, yet this particular sink is made in China. Scratch and warp – I share the views about easy scratching of the Oliveri sink. I blamed the trades people for scratching the sink, I found that the plastic hand juicer scratched the base of the sink when my husband squeezed the daily juice. Our builder organized a professional to remove the scratches which was a big improvement but it didn't last! I have had the bamboo cutting board and it is warping within 2 weeks!
