Olympus SP-560 Ultra Zoom

Excellent – I have had this camera for two or more years now and have used it everywhere, even underwater in its housing (PT-037) and have found it to be an excellent camera for its value for money and has good optics. I'm not a camera person, although have a good eye for detail, and hate to use the lingo as its jargon, however using the correct settings will give you quality photograps that earned me picture of the month in my local news paper. Service from Olympus Australia could be a little better with people overseas manning the reply e-mails that have no idea also... Fantastic package 'all in one' concept. Takes AA's which are as easy to find as a lawyer. All round robust package and takes cracker shots! Some aspect of weight, but weight usually means quality. Dislikes rechargable batteries, I use 4 x 2650maH Duracell NiMh Batteries and sometimes when these batteries are charged the camera says they're flat, so I always carry a spare set of Energizer lithiums!!!
