It's quiet, and very efficient.

Does a great job on everything.

I just use Cole or Woolworths powder and cheap rinse-aid and everything comes out sparkling and dry. Uses screw-all water too. Only about 3ltr for the whole wash and rinse.

very good – it cleans the dishes really well, that also might be the help of the power balls, i buy from ALDI. Dries them good too! it's very quiet, however it's really really small and you still have to wash up by hand. WE didn't buy it, we won it. I know its discontinued now, but if you do see one and you dont normally have much to clean and you like the small size of it, than i would suggest buying it.  Show details

about the grinding noise the pump makes when emtying and I might open the back up one day to see if it is touching the body. No big deal after four years. The swish swish sound it makes when it's washing is almost relaxing enough to send me to sleep. It uses less than 20L a load which helps conserve my rain water. The internal heating element doesn't seem to impact my power bill too much either. My dishes and glassware come out sparkling and squeaky clean. The filters are simple to clean. I noticed that the door seal has a small tear in it on the RHS about two thirds of the way up but the machine does not leak. When it finishes it's cycle, I crack open the door to allow the steam to escape and that lets the dishes dry nicely. I have never had an issue with unpleasant odours. It doesn't hold a heck of a lot but is sufficient for my single lifestyle. As mentioned, turning dinner plates around to face the left, moving the rack spikes inward and leaning the plates slightly inward allows slightly larger plates to fit. It's a pity this model has been discontinued and I hope they are maufacturing a similar model as when (if) my machine dies an honourable death, I will be lining up to purchase another one from Omega.

Unfortunately, I cannot locate the tax invoice (for the moderators) which is not like me at all.

capacity (6 place settings), and did not produce highly clean dishes without streaks. On my reading of the reviews the Omega seemed to be the best of the bunch, and my wife ordered the Omega Bench Top model. After more than six months of operation, I can report that this model produces immaculately clean dishes and glasses (we rinse after meals), it is distinctly less noisy than the BT model it replaces, and it has caused no change in our electricity bill (we use it every 48 hours). These surprises were delivered by a model which costs less than half the cost of a BT replacement model. Is there any downside? Well, it takes only 25 cm diameter (max) plates, it takes 10 minutes longer (full cycle) than the BT model, and the door closer is very firm. And, yes it does take only 6 place settings. In my view these trade-offs are insignificant compared with the very large saving in purchase price and high quality results. Barry Goss

will always get a good result. Glasses come out gleaming and even pots are washed well. I use the same setting for all the washes, it does take a while but it's better than standing at the sink and my kitchen is always tidy. Well worth the money!!

February 9th 2019 Update: My life is wonderful because of this little machine

This is my second review on the Omega ODW100W dishwasher, a I left a glowing review a couple of years ago. It came with a 2year warranty and I extended the warranty for an extra 3 years. When it was out of the two year warranty, I had trouble with the rinse aid dispenser as the red light stayed on, so I never knew when it needed refilling. I contacted Appliances on Line and they said a repairman would come and fix it. However that particular model was discontinued, so they didn't have the part. So they sent me a brand new latest model dishwasher ( much to my surprise.) I reported it Monday and I had it Thursday. This bench top dishwasher, if you don't have space underneath, or you rent, is the next best thing to a built in. It does exactly the same wash as the built in Bosch I had (albeit smaller) but it's a fantastic little machine waiting for me to put it to work. I don't usually rinse, unless it really needs it and dishes, pans and glasses come out gleaming. If something comes out not so clean, it's usually because it wasn't loaded properly, or something moved down in the basket hindering the turning. I use Aldi brand (Logix) dishwashing powder and rinse aid...never any brown stains on my all white crockery.I think I paid about $350, but I notice they have gone up, but in my opinion it's worth every dollar. I have always had a built in dishwasher but that option wasn't an open to me. I can honestly say the Bosch and this Omega does just as good a wash (albeit a bit smaller). The one thing which was annoying is that they changed the inlet/outlet hoses didn't fit like the original. So I called a plumber to fix the tap and he suggested drilling a smallish hole at the back of the machine and poking them down to attach to the pipes under the sink. BRILLIANT! I Can now use the sink and taps whilst the dishwasher is doing its thing. Admittedly it cost me to do this but worth every dollar, as I did get a brand new machine with a 5 year extended warranty and the kitchen stays clean and tidy. Takes a full 6 placement wash, but you have to use 25cm plates as the bigger ones are a bit awkward...I just get round this by facing them the other way and this works. Highly recommended from a very happy lady. 5 stars for the product and Appliances on Line ?

severe issue in both towns - so the spot is a real boombox anyway. Favourite feature would have to be accessibilitiy, but then we have it higher than an ordinary benchtop. Enjoyed buying smaller plates to fit - good for the diet as well, as you don't notice you are eating smaller serves. Bonus!

Great machine until it wasn't, but getting another anyway – Great machine and does the job 99% of the time and the times it doesn't is due to poor stacking on my part. Unfortunately it died yesterday with all the symptoms of a failed intake valve, I replaced it and still no go. As it is 3 years old I will be buying another machine vs getting out a service guy.

everyday and although my plates are 28cm, I just reversed them as one other reviewer mentioned. This unit was as good if not better than any full size one I have owned. If I hadn't have since sold it I would have used it to replace my Dishlex lemon. (See my review on the DX301)

it into the power. A couple of tubes needed to be attached to the back but instructions were easy to understand. Attachment pops off easily when I want to use the sink normally. It does a good job cleaning the dishes. The normal cycle is about an hour, there is also a 30 minute one which is ok if stuff isn't very dirty. It does take up a bit of room on the bench but its a fair trade for not having to spend my life washing up. My large dinner plates don't fit properly, which doesn't bother me. It fits everything else. Wish I'd got it ages ago. May look into installing it under the sink one day.

dishwasher and the landlord refused to let me install even a slimline one but the Omega fits neatly on the counter next to the sink and although it reduces the already small benchtop space even further it's a more-than-worthwhile trade-off.

I only wish I'd got one of these over a year ago when I first inquired about them. I was all set to get one but the sales guy at the store I rang told me the benchtop ones were not much use and not even worth considering - so I didn't pursue it further until things got ridiculous and I'd had enough. Silly me for listening to some young guy who's probably never washed up in his life because he still lives at home and his mum does it all for him.

The dishwasher actually fits a surprising amount for a small unit and although I still have to wash up the big things and the odd bits and pieces that don't fit I now can wash up just once a day instead of three times a day. That gives me probably an hour extra a day that I can spend with my daughter and that makes my dishwasher worth it's weight in gold - actually, you can't put a price on that.

It was very simple to setup and I'm very happy with it's performance - it seems to wash well (granted, I rinse stuff first) and isn't that noisy). I didn't want to use a rinse aid (don't like to use chemical concoctions if it can be avoided) so I usually wash on the quick cycle (which is less than half an hour I think) and just open the door when the cycle finishes to air dry. I'm so happy with it I actually toyed with the idea of getting another one and stacking it on top somehow so I can fit everything in and have the equivalent of a full size dishwasher.

Thank you, thank you Omega. I know it sounds corny but this little dishwasher really has changed my life - I was soooo time poor that the extra hour it gives me each day makes a world of difference to my daughter and I.

brother in law (a plumber) that gaining access to the plumbing in the internal wall would still mean ripping the kitchen apart. I then looked at benchtop options, but was never sold on the idea until I read so many favourable reviews for the Omega. I have never written reviews before, but given how I relied on reviews to buy this machine, I wanted comment on my experience.

I was able to install this machine inside a cupboard (above the waste pipe) as the unit isn't too deep. It is also shallow enough that I can close the cupboard doors as well, so the machine is completely hidden. My brother in law was able to hook up the waste hose to the waste pipe under the kitchen sink and changed my cold water kitchen sink tap to a washing machine dual tap, so that we could permanently hook up the dishwasher without having to use the included tap connector. Therefore I cannot comment on how useful/effective the connector is.

The machine is a lifesaver! There are only 2 of us living in the apartment so it is the perfect size. My dinner plates are only about 25cm, so I have had no issues fitting them in. If we only put plates and cups into the dishwasher we could probably last 2-3 days before turning it on, but I admit I get lazy and put large noodle bowls and saucepans in as well so it is used most days.

It washes very well, given the size of the machine, you can't really use tablets, but I use ecostore powder and am very happy with the results. I don't use rinse aid.

I have only given 4 stars as the machine doesn't dry glasses completely, and tends to condense a little if I leave the door closed after the cycle (eg overnight), but I find if I open the machine door once it finishes and if I put the glasses and tupperware on a drying rack on the sink for 30mins then it is fine. A small price to pay for the benefit of having a machine!

determined to find one even with my limitations. Last week I picked up my Omega benchtop. Installation took a few hours as my plumber relative recommended adding a small tap exclusively for the dishwasher so I was not interfering with the mixer tap on the sink; this made installation a little more complicated than that shown in the booklet. however, all went well and now I am liberated! It washes quietly, very well and I could not be happier. I have found that the cheaper generic tablets wash very well and if I use a quick 30 minute cycle I use half a tablet. With only two of us now living at home it is easy to fit in most of my pots and pans except for the largest. I do think, though, that if more than 3 lived here, we would have to do two washes some days but for two to three people it is great. External size, internal capacity I would like the cutlery tray on a side rather than in the middle

Detergent for this beautiful dishwasher – Can anyone can use liquid dishwasher that we normally use with no chemical I currently use liquid detergent called EARTH CHOICE it's nice and it's has less chemical and good on hand not harmful. absolutely fantastic worth every cent! can't live without it! – Obviously if I had the choice I'd get a bigger machine but this has been my life saver for over 2 years I just love it and it surprisingly fits alot in! I pack it full once a day and just hand wash My pots and pans. Everything else fits in Easy! And we are a family of 4 with kids that change cups every 5 minutes!
