Disappointed with wash – We have recently rented a unit with one of these dishwashers and it just doesn't get the plates clean or deal well with cups on the top rack. Overall the best thing to say about it is that we don't own it.
Bad – Thermostat replaced 2x under warranty motor replaced under warranty powder dispenser doesn't open (have to set stove timer for 10 mins to put powder in) Gets stuck mid cycle (will rinse all night if I don't click it to next notch) Gunk in items in top rack (especially glasses)even with weekly filter & spray arm cleaning etc Not happy with… Read more
the lifespan or performance of product for price- won't buy this brand DW again Doesn't leak
Programs fairly basic to use
Works sort of
Used to wash dishes well (when it wasn't at the fix-it shop) 3x under warranty had to fix problems
when warranty ran out just put up with shoddy dishwasher to get moneys worth out of it (should at least have made 5yrs!!!! for the$$$)
Gunk in items in top rack (especially glasses)even with weekly filter & spray arm cleaning etc
OK – Ok dishwasher for the price. Had a recall on one of the parts which was fixed promptly and efficiently. Would probably try a different dishwasher next time as the wash can be variable depending on whether the spray arm gets blocked or not and I haven't yet discovered an easy way to clean them out. However quietness was a big plus for us as the… Read more
kids bedroom is next to the kitchen. Quiet dishwasher.
Reliable.
Reasonably priced.
Looks good.
Reasonably water efficient. Spray arms clog easily and are fiddly to clean. Drying can be variable, but seems to improve if you top up the rinse aid.
Excellent – Having had a Simpson for 15 years, I was a little apprehensive about getting a new dishwasher when Simpson finally died. These Omegas are, despite what is also reviwed here, really really good. I think it washes better than the old one and definitely uses a lot less water. Sure it doesnt probably do as good a job as $1,800 dishwasher but thats not… Read more
what is being reviwed here. All the things I've put in so far from big dirty frypans to glasses have come out all clean, did not need pre-rinsing and did not have any residue left on them from the rinse cycle. It is very quiet, so much so that I had to listen to it to see if it was working when I first got it. The racks are a different configuration to the older diswashers and I agree you cant get as much on/in them but you can squeeze a fir few things into the nooks and crannies and they all get washed. All in all I would recommended one of these as a cheap dishwasher especially second hand where real bargains can be picked up. Quiet Nothing in particular
very dissapointed – I need to use the dishwasher 2 x weekly. After loading more then 6 dinnerplates the bottom shelf colepses.I'm paranoid to load it up.The timer broke down now after 14 month.Verry disappointing after paying so much money for something what supposed do you life easy.
Terrible – My Omega dishwasher lasted for 6 years. The heating element died in it a couple of weeks ago due to what may have been the timer sticking during the wash cycle. A repair for the element was quoted at $200 (labour not included), not to mention how much a new timer would cost... time to toss it! Looks like you have to be willing to pay more for a… Read more
longer lasting machine. I think i'll give Bosch or Asko a go next. Quiet & reasonably priced. Attractive appearance. Found it frustrating to organize glasses in the top rack without them falling over easily. Worst rack lay-out i've come accross. Difficult to clean spray arms, holes too small. Not built to last.

Tablets work better than powder in this dishwasher. Try Logix from Aldi or Finish.
