Worst ever – Omeg was already in the house i have just bought. It is totally useless. Does not dry no matter what setting. Everything comes out more dirty than before putting them in. Will be replacing it with a quality product.
It's the first bad dishwasher I use – It came with the house I bought; I doubted it was defective. The door isn't clean; it is stained and looks horrible. It's very loud as well, and I feel it doesn't take as many things to clean as the dishwashers I used before. I don't recommend the brand because I tried to reach the company many times, and the supervisor kept telling his staff to… Read more
help, but no one helped. They provide me with cleaning instructions. I also told them the stainless steel stove from the same brand is rusted, and they said it's a misuse. I have used many stoves before as I moved between different countries and different rented houses, and this is the first time I have faced a problem knowing that I am someone who cleans the stove every time I cook.

Food bits still stuck on dishes – Dishwasher was already in the house when bought. It is terrible! Tiny bits of food that looks small as sand is constantly stuck on drinking glasses. I have given up and wash glasses by hand. Tiny food particles somehow lodges it self in the The 2 grey water shooter arms. There is no way you can open them up to clean. So what I’ve resorted doing is… Read more
getting fine tweezers and trying my hardest to pick out the food pieces from the holes. I’d be lucky to get some out - while most of the time i gets pushed back into the mystery black hole. Dishes are still all really wet aswell. I have complained to my husband numerous times about this washer for years. I thought it was just my machine . But decided to jump on and google this machine. And looks like I’m not the only one! Do not get this dishwasher. EVER!
Yesterday I tried to wash the same lot of dishes 3 times. THREEEEE times! (The hottest and intensive program too) And they were still dirty! It’s like it swishes all the dirty water around and then drains and leaves the tiny particles stuck on all the glass and dishes.
Great performing Dishwasher only letdown by some stacking issues – We bought this dishwasher to replace a failed Westinghouse unit. They had a promo listing it for $399. Managed to nab it with an extra 10% off on one of their sales, bringing it down to $360 odd making it a great deal. Installation was easy since it used all existing plumbing from the old unit. Performance wise, it does a decent job. We… Read more
generally use the eco mode 30 minute wash which mostly does a good job but we have found it does leave residue on some items, though i can also admit they we may over load the stackers sometimes. The unit is relatively quite so no complaints there. The top tray can also be moved up and down though we have yet to find a real use for this.
Some issues we have encountered though. On the Eco mode, we regularly find that the dishes do not dry effectively, leaving a lot of moisture on some items in the unit. We also have found that the wine glass stacker is somewhat useless with larger wine glasses as they don't fit without pressing them in really hard to clips and they tend to hit the top of the dishwasher when closing the top drawer.
Otherwise the unit works well and has been trouble free since purchase and installation. For the price we paid, it has been excellent value.
Its doing great so far! – This dishwasher is really quiet, I barely even realise its on. My dishes come out really clean better than hand washing. The only thing is that the drain hose is a bit short, and the fact that omegas customer service are slow and delayed. Upon using my dishwasher for the first time it had an error come up, nothing major but I worked out and fixed… Read more
the problem but the error message didn’t disappear, when I contacted them, they were slow at responding and wanted to send a service man out to fix it after I already resolved the issue.
Another improvement could be the child lock system. When you turn child lock on it means that if the child oresses buttons it doesnt change the settings, but a child could still open the door or turn the power button on and off. Im just lucky my 2 year old isnt strong enough to open the doshwasher door
I bought the dishwasher at a great price too and it was a bargain at half price!
I have no problems now with dishwasher and im glad I purchased it. It helps me out alot sonce I havent got much time now to do dishes, having a 2 year old and twin newborns.

Does the job really well – This dishwasher was really cheap and yet it works really well. The only issue I have with it is that it has a cutlery basket instead of a drawer (which I prefer). The 90 minute cycle is quick and very hot - and cleans everything beautifully. I have no complaints - it's a bargain for the price. Show details
Durable – This is my first dishwasher and found it’s very easy to use has no problem so far. It has 12 settings also if it is half loaded it has options to save water and electricity comes with delay start feature which helps to clean in dishes during off peak hours and also basket is adjustable. Pretty good – Had this over a year now and happy with it. Cleans the items well and no streaks on the glassware. Only fault is the top drawer which pulls out but does not smoothly go back in so you constantly have to jig it about. Had someone come out to look at it and he just confirmed its a cheap assembly so nothing could be done. Show details

Useless dishwasher – Useless have to have on highest setting to get a clean wash which takes 2.5 hours . Sounds like my motor is about to pack it in after 14 months . Crap washer . Show details
Omega’s customer service is a joke – Our 5mth old dishwasher would not drain phoned customer service and when I finally got through was told they would get in touch with a service provider and they in turn would get in touch with us 3 weeks later and nothing .disappointed !! Show details

Worst dishwasher. DOES NOT CLEAN – This dishwasher does not clean the dishers. They constantly come out with food stuck all over them, some of them dirtier than when they went in. Food is always left all over the dishwasher inside. Food also get stuck in the parts that distribute the water. I end up washing everything by hand. Yes, the heating element is working. Show details

So disappointed – I was unfortunate to pick this as our new dishwasher and what a mistake it was. I would rate it as completely useless. As much as I rinse and literally wash items before they go into the dishwasher they come out dirtier than they went in. So disappointed. Only wish I had checked the reviews .My dishwasher is only 2 months old.

Absolute rubbish! Came with our new apartment. Dead in 3 years – This dishwasher was installed in our off-the-plan apartment. It was always sub-par (left dishes extremely wet, no matter what we did), but now after< 3 years it’s dead (heating element). Show details

Worst dishwasher ever – Never will I ever buy another Omega or recommend one to anyone. After only a couple of months the stainless steel was marked and started to go rusty. After contacting Omega NZ the woman on the end of the phone told me they would cover it through warranty as it was caused through neglect. Now it is not washing the dishes clean. The Omega is a heap of rubbish, it is on its way to the tip and I will be replacing it with quality.
Inherited with the new house. Would not buy one myself – When you buy a house with a dishwasher that runs and doesn't break down but you are willing to pay good money to replace it, you know you've got a lemon. Pros: Looks fine Hasn't broken down Doesn't smell bad Cons: Doesn't clean everything properly Constantly needs to be cleaned itself The detergent basket doesn't open properly Impractical… Read more

I don't think I've ever come across a dishwasher that cleans as poorly as this model. It often leaves dishwasher powder residue and tiny food debris behind, especially in the glassware. My cutlery looks awful every time it comes out and I have to polish it by hand because the rinse cycle doesn't work effectively in removing the detergent. I have never used a dishwasher that causes this many issues before. We inherited this model with the new house we bought, the dishwasher went to the top of the "renovate or replace" priority list after we checked it was working properly, deep cleaned it and changed dishwasher powder/tablet brands and rinse aids three times. It's had enough chances, it's going in the bin.

Worst dishwasher ever – I bought this brand dish washer in 2019 at least once a week for the last 12 months I have to clean mould on the inside it never dries the dishes buyer beware. Show details
OK cheap dishwasher but it only lasted 3 years and you can't fix it yourself – Couldn't go past the price on this one as it seemed better quality than other cheapies. You have to be fairly meticulous to clean the filter otherwise it does a dirty wash, and anything slipping through can block the rotating wash arm. After 3 years it began to fail, first the wheel on the top draw arm collapsing and shortly after the pump failed.… Read more
I watched some YouTube videos and thought I would just change the pump myself but guess what, the hoses are sealed on with a special clip to stop you doing just that. Its not worth getting a service call to fix a $450 dish washer, and if you can't fix it yourself it just goes to the tip. But even though its shoddy I am tossing up whether to buy another one because I'd rather pay $500 for 3 years use than $1000 for a better machine that probably still lasts only 5 or 6 years.
High Maintenance – Exceedingly long cycles. Too much on top rack makes the clip slip and rack fall to lowest level selection. Rarely is everything clean. Bowls small or large can only be in every second slot allocated as they don’t get cleaned. Constantly changing powders/tablets to try to get a proper consistent clean. Even after service supplied under warranty it… Read more
makes a horrid sound in its cycle and then switches to next part of wash. Pretty sure I’d steer clear of OMEGA after this dishwasher.
RUBBISH PRODUCT – We bought 4 and 2 required repairs and one stopped working altogether - within the first three years of purchase. RUBBISH product!!!! ZERO aftercare. AVOID them and please choose something else.

Poor manufactured product – Since three years ago that we bought this dishwasher it has been a disaster within our home appliances. Poor manufacturing and weak performance. Loos trays not sliding easily in and out causing the inner frame distorted. Waste of money, not recommended at all.
Stay away! – Does not clean well. Rinse aid needs to be filled every 3rd wash. Residue left behind on cups even though filters are clean. Lucky I didn’t waste my money on this as it came with the house
Only have it due to house and land package – The only reason Omega is in the market is that they can sell it cheap to the home builders to include in house and land packages. I should have done my research before approving it for our new house. It has a poor design and comes with less space. Please do research about what items are included in your package deal from Builders. The minimum… Read more
option with drying comes with 1.5 hours. The 30 minute one doesn't dry the dishes which is standard in modern dishwashers.
Worst dishwasher I’ve ever had – It doesn’t clean, have to wash by hand , even half loaded I still have to wash dishes after an intensive cycle . Cutlery is generally clean if I rinshed it before . Won’t clean cheese off of cutlery though even if I rinse it first . Show details
Absolute piece of rubbish! – This was installed in my rental house as a replacement for a circa 20 year old Dishlex which had broken. The Dishlex (unbroken) was much better. Where do I start? It feels far flimsier than the old Dishlex for starters. I doubt it will still be working in five years, let alone 20. The wine rack, half the size of the one in the old machine, won't… Read more
fit full size wine glasses, only tasting ones, and only two of those. The drying cycle might as well be non-existent.
The biggest problem is that a 'normal' load of dishes takes 2 hrs 50 minutes!!! And the dishwasher uses so little water (11 litres per wash) that there is not enough water to wash as many dishes as the previous dishwasher did. Previously, I could stack things like large mixing bowls, lightly soiled pans and chopping boards on the edges and over the top of a rack of dishes, now there is not enough water splashed around to clean those, so I have had to start doubling the amount of dishwashing runs I do - that's now almost six hours for a load that used to take 1 to 1 and 1/2 hrs. The energy use is high despite the water use being low - surely it's more efficient to double the water and halve the length of time it takes to wash things instead :(.
You can't do any washes shorter than 'normal' if you use dishwashing tablets, the plumber who installed it told us any less and they won't dissolve properly.
In answer to the particular review questions, the setting performances are pretty much the same. Choosing an 'intensive' wash does not clean the amount of dishes I used to be able to do. Three of the six program choices (the ones less than 'normal' wash) are unusable with dishwashing tablets.
The dishes are a mix of some rinsed, some not rinsed before they go in. Heavily dirty stuff is soaked before going in. I have not had the misfortune of this dishwasher clogging yet, but I've only had it three weeks.
The only positive thing I can say about this dishwasher is that it is better than nothing. And the ability to adjust the top basket up and down is easy and handy.
Just put your cups and plates back in the cupboard after you have used them and save some time – We have had ours for 3 years, it came with the house. Was good for the first few months then after that it started essentially being useless. I have to wash the spray arms constantly which given the design of them isn't an easy job. The little plastic clips that hold the wire racks up went within the first year but nothing a few cable ties won't… Read more
fix. It rarely washes properly. And the beeping. It beeps for everything and you can't turn it off. If you leave the door open say to get 1 thing out of it and don't click it shut or turn it off which kids never ever do it will just keep beeping every 30 seconds till you do something about it. Drives me insane
It's OK – The settings are good with this one. Performance is fine. Dishes do have to be pretty clean before putting into the dishwasher or it becomes clogged easily. Easy enough to clean though. My biggest complaint is that normal sized dinner plates do not fit in without stopping the fan from spinning, we have tried 3 different plates and they're all the… Read more
same, so obviously it needs to be remodeled so the plates can fit in & the fan can spin to clean the load.
The door was stained on delivery, I am so disappointed as all my appliances were purchased at the – I always rinse the dishes and honestly I’m happy with the dishwasher just the ugly staining on the door spoils my whole kitchen and will never buy Omega appliances again. Omega know this is a problem and should correct their quality control before sending appliances out to the stores for selling Show details
Has some surprising features – At first I was happy with this dishwasher. However, after a few washes, I realised that the spinning arms caught lots of bits of food (even when the dishes were rinsed with no signs of food on them! I mean it's like it's magically conjuring them up, we found carrot clogging a sprayer hole when we hadn't had carrot for weeks! This feature should… Read more
really be put to a more useful occupation like curing world hunger because it is not welcome in a dishwasher...).
Then my happiness evaporated even further when I discovered the arms guarded these magical "food bits" with all their might. You cannot gain access to the arms to steal these magical "food bits" at all.... They are more secure than Fort Knox... You can, quite conveniently, remove the arms from their housing so you can tap them rythemically against the bench like a deranged neanderthal trying to summon the random "food bits" spirits... But there is no way to wipe or clean the inside of the spraying arms thoroughly, thus rendering it's whole existence of cleaning and hygiene to take on a pale and apparently useless appearance...
But fear not! All is not lost... This strange and twisted beast actually did go on to have a long and glorious future as a useful bench in my kitchen, holding more and more clutter until one day the fair maiden of the house cried "Enough!" and cleared it all away.... But magically the clutter started to reappear again and again, no matter how many times it was cleared away it always came back..
The Omega never again washed dishes but it certainly did become a well used feature of my kitchen... Just not in the way I had imagined.
It seems that no matter what you end up doing, the magic always seems to shine through.....
Just okay – Have had to call the plumber out twice for repairs and always just out of warranty period. I only use it when there is a full load so maybe three times per week. Depending on the dishwasher tablets, it can sometimes get blocked where the water jets are. Happy with the look of the item though. I normally just quickly rinse dishes before I put them in. Don't waste your money! – Just over 12 months old and the writing for the programs to work it is fading off without any hard cleaning or wiping. very unreasonable to deal with on the phone. No one should pay good money and buy a product and have things going wrong after just 12 months. My sister has had a fisher and paykel 2 draw washer for 11 years and the writing on both draws is still as good as the day she got it.
Does not clean – Cons: Dishes, glasses and cluttery always come out dirty. Even with longer cycle, rinse aid , not extra dishes and pushing back top tray. Even washing the while dishwasher regularly, the filters and water spinning wands. Pros: Quiet Terrible product overall. Will buy a new one so a waste of Money. Show details
No More Omega – Very disappointed in this dishwasher. Bought a brand new home with this dishwasher in it and it only lasted under three years. Smoke filled the house and we were nervous about turning it off. Not used a lot as there only two of us, so I'm glad we didn't need it for the family or it may not have last that long. Never again.
