Skin irritation – We bought our first packet of pods and have been itchy ever since. I am on antihistamines and steroid creams for 2 weeks. Won't be using this product again.

Capsules leak in bag and stick together – I live the smell snd use if these capsules however on many occasions I have had to throw some out as they have stuck together and burst when you try to separate them. I pay considerably more than I normally would as I like the smell but I may have to go back to the old brand if this keeps happening. They are stored by themselves in a cool cupboard I am inside laundry. What can I do? Show details

Overpowering smell – Use capsules for my front load machine because need eco septic friendly. We we set the wash on timer to start washing early am to save on electricity. The Omo capsules are overpowering with the smell, I have an instant headache from the smell and it is overpowering the wardrobe and clothes draws and the house. The smell stays on the clothes when… Read more

wearing them. We DON'T need to be treated like idiots. The overwhelming smell doesn't mean the clothes are cleaner it means you have exposed us to more unnecessary chemicals! Listen to the consumer!

New Omo pods not as good! – Such a shame the formula for the Omo pods for Sensitive Skin has been changed recently - my whole family are suffering with itchy skin etc! The old pods were brilliant and worked so well... what a shame. Might have to write to Unilever!

I LOVE THIS STUFF – I first came across these pods when I was travelling in Greece. They are amazing!! My preferred is the sensitive version as the smell is lovely and not too overpowering. The fact that you just toss them into the front loader and go is perfect. Especially now that I have my elderly mother living with me and cant seem to understand than TODAY less… Read more

is often more. With powders she seems to overfill the dispenser which somehow manages to either flood or completely stop the washing machine. These pods are a god-send.

Smell – Bought from Woolies last week. June 2018. Nearly made my wife sick with the overpowering fragrance. Omo need to test product with consumers before releasing as a line product. Not buying omo again.

Terrible smell – New pods with dark blue liquid leave my garage, where laundry area is, smelling awful. First time I used it both my partner & I were looking for an oil or chemical spill for days until we figured out it was the new Omo pods. Won’t be buying again. Would prefer Omo brings back old pods as they worked perfectly & smelt wonderful.

Omo pods leave a residue on clothes – Bought this product for convenience however the problem of a residual ‘glob’ left on a garment was getting to frequent an occurrence. I did contact customer services for advice to address this issue but sadly it came to nothing. Seriously considering changing back to washing liquid as soon as my stocks run out. Update 6/07/18: seemed to have cured the problem. I put the pod in a clothes wash bag. Seems to work a great. Good luck!

Terrible strong smell – The old pale capsules were perfect but the new capsules are dark blue and although they apparently have the same light floral fragrance the smell is overpowering and awful. I can’t stand to use them now. I buy sensitive because they are usually low on fragrance.

I love love love this! – I have always been a fan of Omo as i found they get stains out that alot of other powders/detergents can't (i have 2 young kids and my husband works with cars). But these pods are the best! They have an amazing smell that stays on the clothing after they have dried. Will never use anything else! Worth it 100%. Also i have never had a problem with them not dissolving inn my washing machine (top loader) or them bursting.

Disastrous product – Pods stick to each other and puncture when separated, spraying the user with liquid. Also wasting product. Will not be purchasing this product again.

Perfume in Pods too strong – I have recently started using the Omo Pods however I have found the perfume on the clothes especially when wet and taking from the machine is making my eyes sting and very painful. I have used Omomatic Powder Sensitive for many years and thought the pods would be good as you can spill powder so easily. Pods not overly good on getting off stains… Read more

either. I have used front loader washing machines since 1956 and have never experienced anything like this from powders. I have rung Unilever and are sending me a voucher to buy powder to replace the pods. They should have tested the pods better but apparently the pods have been manufactured and used in the U.K. under the brand name Persil maybe not so highly perfumed though.

No Longer Seem To Work – I've been using OMO Sensitive pods for quite a while now. I always thought they did a good wash, however since the formula has changed, I've notice the quality of the clean changing as well. I have had several incidents of garments looking completely unwashed and after pulling them out of the dryer, you would think I hadn't even washed them. I… Read more

gave this product the benefit of the doubt when OMO said they had changed the formula but whatever they've done to it has made this product next to useless. I'll be buying a different brand from now on.

Very convenient and a detergent saver! – When there are people in your family who tend to overuse detergent in every wash, these are a great way to make sure it's not wasted. On the downside, the gel coating of the pod doesn't seem to completely dissolve, and ends up either sticking to the rubber of the machine door (front loader) and then getting stuck onto clothes as they are removed,… Read more

or you find it adhered to one of your garments, requiring another rinse. I hope they can address that. Otherwise, I'm happy with the product and think it's a good idea.

Pretty good – I sometimes buy the omo pods from Coles or Woolworths supermarkets though even though the work I prefer the omo washing liquid as I can put it all around the wash though I totally would recommend them to people who in a hurry who don't want the risk of getting washing liquid on their hands especially if the person is willing to move the fabric… Read more ·  1

Works well. Follow the instructions – I have a front loader (10kg capacity) with only a small laundry liquid dispenser. I wanted to use the delayed start cycle on my machine but the liquid dispenser seems to leak out slowly onto the clothes if filled and left overnight. So I've stated using these. They are low suds and seem to clean and rinse off well. For those complaining of… Read more

residue/pod gel gunk - very important - put the pods in the BACK of the machine, underneath the clothes. This way, they are completely immersed in water during the machine fill. I imagine it's the same for top loaders.

I had put the pod at the the front of the machine, on top of the clothes. It fell into the door seal, the wrapper didn't dissolve properly and I got the leftover pod gunk other reviewers have complained of.

Excellent – Use these at home and are great when traveling in the caravan. I buy more than needed when on special. My clothes both colors & whites are always clean. Easy to use and are no messy. No more powder or liquid messes to clean up. Same dose for every wash.

Omo Pods Regular – Like this product very much. Very simple to use. Just pop a pod in the centre of your machine. Good performance and divine smell. A bit expensive if you wash regularly. I only buy it when it is on sale.Best suited for busy singles who might only do one or two loads of washing a week. Performance. Easy to use. Nice Smell A bit expensive

makes your washing sooo much more efficient! – Love love love this product, i used this when i lived in the UK , (think they're branded as "Persil" over there) and they were a staple in my laundry cupboard. Always cleans the clothes beautifully, even baby food culprits like pumpkin! i prefer the scent of the sensitive pods, but both types clean well. Soooo glad this product finally came to… Read more ·  2

Sticky residue – I wish they didnt leave sticky residue on clothes even in hot water wash, so I usually have to re rinse some items. Also leaves gel blobs inside machine, particularly door rubber (it is a new front loader). I even had a blob fall out when I opened the door. Wont use again, when I rang customer service they just said they would pass it on! Easy to use Sticky residue

Exceedingly disappointed – Started using the Omo Pods for front loaders for whites and colours. Fine for the colours but grey marks started appearing on all our whites and light coloured clothes... tried different cycles in our front loader - hot, cold, warm, gentle, normal - but the grey stains appeared and could not be removed. We now have lots of clothes that are ruined… Read more

:-( Rang OMO and they took note but their advice was not to wash darks with whites!!! Hmmmm I have been washing my own clothes for 30 years...managed ok til now...great advice OMO. Changed back to powder and problem has been solved. Is it possible that the pods were leaving these marks? Scent Appeared to leave grey stains on our white/light coloured clothes

Omo god its so good – I purchased the new Omo washing up pods for the first time and I must say they really do work, they are a bit on the sexy side but they are well worth it. They work really well on harsh stains and I found I did not need to put in fabric softener. True to claim it really works Little on the expensive side compared to other brands but buy on special

I'll never buy any other kind of laundry detergent again! – I have always been an Omo user. I have used both Omo powder and Omo liquid, but despite their superior performance, both had some shortcomings - the powder often left white marks on dark clothing, and the liquid was too messy to use. Omo Pods eliminate both these issues. Doing the laundry has never been quicker or easier! You simply grab a pod,… Read more

toss it in the washing machine, add your clothes and start your washing cycle. Voila!

The pod "skin" easily dissolves during the wash, releasing the Omo liquid.

So you get all the benefits of Omo liquid without the mess (drips).

Advantages

- No need to measure liquid or powder (Saves time)

- No white marks on clothing sometimes left by powder detergents

- No messy drips

The only disadvantage is possibly the price - they are fairly expensive, but keep an eye out for sales!

The washing performance is flawless. Excellent performance Fairly expensive

So very easy! – I first saw a similar product when visiting family in the UK, so when I saw these on special here I had to try! As a busy working mum, I'm happy with anything that lets me get the washing done quicker & without either a child or a cat getting in the machine. These pods just need to be thrown in the drum before the clothes. No measuring, no spills,… Read more

so very easy! Convenient, no mess, cleans the clothes well. A bit more expensive but worth it in my opinion.

So easy to use - new laundry pods! – Laundry pods are so easy to use. Just pop them in the washing machine with the clothes and go away and forget it. When the washing is finished it has a beautiful clean soft feel and is lovely to hang out, iron and put away. slimy and stays in the dispenser, and the Sensitive product still has a floral scent that is not good for people with sensitivity issues. reliable
