Omron SEM-2 Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor

Omron SEM-2 Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor

4.5 from 2 reviews

I had quite bad problems with blood pressure during my pregnancies and found this device helpful. I was able to take my blood pressure each day for my doctor visits. I was also able to respond accordingly if it was extremely low at the beginning of my pregnancy I had hydrolite, fluids and lied down. At the end of the pregnancy I rested when my blood pressure was up high and was able to inform my doctor asap of any ongoing concerns. It was so easy to use. Put the device on and press a button. It comes with a record chart, so you can personally monitor your blood pressure and show your doctor at a later stage. It seems quite well made and reliable with results. It also takes heart rate as well. A good device and would recommend.
Convenient, easy to use, reliable.
None I can think of.

It is very easy to use with just one Start/Stop button. The cuff automatically inflates and deflates. It has a memory function storing 60 sets of readings which really great if only one person uses it. When the cuff is fully inflated the arm hurts a little as there is a lot of pressure in the cuff. It has a comprehensive instruction manual and it can be stored in the supplied zipped bag. Purchased it for under $110 and it came with a Digital Thermometer, so it was a good value.
easy to use, large and clear display
Arm can hurt a little when it is fully inflated

My Omron automatic blood pressure monitor model sem-2(hem-7051-c1) . I bought it 10 years ago and I am not sure if it's working properly or not even if I change the battery. Can anyone tell me if this product should be replace? My doctor tell me my pressure is high and when I take it at home is normal or sometimes very low, I'll appreciate your comments and suggestions. Hi nancy you may have white coat syndrome, my wife and I have it ,it's when you are affected by surgery anxiety,it affects many people and thats why in many cases higher readings can be had at the doctors surgery. To check your monitor take it to the doctors and check it with the doctors monitor to verify your monitors accuracy.Yes I already took my monitor to the Doctor and said it's ok. Thanks
