Ooni over rated marketing company

This would have to be the worst pizza oven for the price.
Easy enough to get the thing fired up, but it all goes downhill from there.
The opening is to small for an easy entry/exit of the pizza, its temperature is almost impossible to control causing burning on one side, refilling the pellets constantly that sometimes need to be stoked.
Had a given it a fair go many of times, but walked away from it as its just constant battle to get a good pizza out of it. Should have bought the gas one or another brand. The reviews on their website must be nonsense Show details

Makes great pizza

As other reviews have stated, it works very well, and makes great pizza.

Easy to use, easy to light up, portable, relatively easy to clean, cooks a pizza in 90 seconds.

Must turn the pizza at least every 25 seconds to not burn, avoid leaving excess dry flour on the base which will burn (and accumulate on the stone which is not good for you).

The only negative is the small window to see progress which is not big enough, the other Ooni models are better in this regard. But this one is the only wood pellet model, which makes wood fired pizza really easy. Show details

Does what all the other reviews say it does

Damn fine pizzas. Gotta be careful not to burn em though. Gotta keep your wits about you and not be distracted by beer/pets/kids/friends yacking or you will miss the 20 second mark to rotate that bad boy and it will char.

I managed to do a 9 or so pizzas over about 1.5 hours for a dozen friends and they all had fun making up their own pizzas and then taking around for everyone to try a small slice, good way to spend a sunday afternoon.

This is a fairly complex beast. If you are the type of person who prefers pod coffee because you cant be bothered with grinding, tamping etc. then this is probably not going to suit you. But if you like to fiddle and be involved and experiment then it's a lot of fun.
