Optim Plus Steam Mop

NOT perfect. waste of Money – Returned the mop because it would not steam! Told it was Calcium build up! No. Still does not steam. 250 klm round trip & still does not steam. Waste of money.

You get what you pay for! – Bought on sale for $49 down from $99. Bought extra pads too so total cost was $68.95 Started having problems with it just outside warranty. Doesn’t heat up to create steam. Can hear it is on but no steam. Now I’m left with 6 mop pads and a steamer that doesn’t work. Bought at Godfrey’s.

Doesn't heat anymore. Light on. Also the handle keeps coming out – I would of thought as only use twice monthly. I would get more use.usually fill twice when it was working one and quarter use to do. Use to be good to manoeuvre. The pads on the useless side I've found easily pull out. Out of three one pad still has strings  Show details

Okay while it worked – I've owned 2 of these. Both broke after about a year. First time Godfreys replaced it. Second time they weren't interested. Same problem with it not steaming anymore. Expect its a known fault hense the product being discontinued. Wouldn't get another one nor anything else from Godfreys. Left my floors very wet. Different brand I purchased to replace it leaves floors much drier.

to get electric shock I have been in hospital in America and in new Zealand had major surgery last year rang them and told them about it in September last year saleman said he would put a note on file he failed to do so I am tottaly disgusted with them

Pathetic mop even worse company godfreys – I spent over $1000 at godfreys Mulgoa rd store . This included the optimimum plus steam mop. What a lemon !! It stopped working 1 month out of warranty ! Really not very good service but I was desperate to replace as when it did work it was good . Within the warranty the 2 Nd one stopped working . They sent it away to be fixed . I went to pick it up and was shown a trick about cleaning out the steam pipe and told to do this regularly . They also offered forsale a bottle of some kind of chemical that they couldnt or wouldn't reveal th ingredients of.

Me being bit wary and feeling let down by Godfreys I refused to buy the magic unnamed chemical concoction ! Took the mop home ... It worked another two months and now it's Capute again ! And unfortunately out of warranty once more !!

nothing. No steam, no nothing. So within 4 weeks I took it back to Toombul Godfrey's and the guy who was there that day just was not interested in helping me. There was no one in the store when I walked in, so he wasn't busy. After telling him I wanted to return it but wanted to buy something else. He said no returns. And I said well at least replace it. He plugged it in. And it started up, steam and he turned it off. I said you have to keep it running for 5 minutes because that's when it stops working. A woman came in, I'm assuming someone he was helping earlier, had returned to purchase a item. He unplugged my machine and walked away. I said, excuse me, but nothing has been resolved. He said it turned on, nothing he can do. Needless to say, nothing was done about it. It ended up in the bin. Save your money, buy something better.

No service from Godfreys at all – First time I used it, it leaked everywhere and failed to come up to steam heat. Took it back to shop and they told me it was cheap so what did I expect and also said I can't be during it correctly. Lousy product and lousy service!

Was the good the first time…… – I was very happy when I bought it but Ive used it now seven times and its already broken. It seems to have very poor build quality and design features. In hindsight it's better to spend more and get one of a better quality standard. Im going to take it back and get a better one, which is kind of a pain in the bum because of the waste in time, fuel and money. It was cheap.

You would expect it to last more than 2 weeks out of warranty – 2 weeks out of warranty it failed. Godfrey's not interested. Never shop there again!!! When I bought it the salesman said it would last for years and to contact them if any problems. Yeah right. They couldn't give a damn about customer service. Not good enough when I have the option of shopping elsewhere. Good reach Unreliable

EXCELLENT FOR REMOVING OLD FURNITURE DENTS FROM CARPET – The cleaning is great, but best of all, we use this machine to successfully remove very hard furniture indentations from the carpet. Honestly, the carpet pile just comes back as good as new. It also makes cleaning the floors very easy - so much less fuss than getting out a mop and bucket.

Works well, good for tiles, time saver – Bought this at Godfreys after having a look at a few steam mops online. Were going to go with a Bissell but once I saw them in store, the Bissell seemed so much heavier and clunkier. online (ebay) and ordered some triangle pads - paid about $12 for 5 of them instead of the $50 for 5 that Godfreys wanted. I now use 1 pad per 3x10m space (tiles). Each time I press down to release the steam I wait for the green light to come on to make sure it's really hot - a bit of a delay each time, but by doing these two things the floor now dries within about 10 minutes. It is a steam mop so you do still have to do quite a good sweep to start with or you will get lines of lint where the pad pushes it around on the floor.

Absolutely Worthless!!! – I have had 2 of these mops in just over 6 months; the first was replaced under warranty after about 2 months after the switch rusted out. water is regularly dripped onto the electric switch that operates the steam control and it quickly corrodes and stops working; hence the mop continually produces steam.

Poor quality; water flow not properly controlled and regularly dripping on to electric steam control switch, causing corrosion and hence malfunction.

Especially good on tiles – Our house has equal amounts of timber floor boards, tiles and carpet. This steam mop is fantastic on the tiles in particular and is so quick and easy to set up I don't mind getting it out to use just on small clean up jobs which I never wanted to bother with using a bucket and mop. being told it was fine on floor boards by the sales lady I have since found out that steam mops force the steam into spaces in the floor boards and cause the stain to lift so they not to be used on timber.

On the carpet I haven't found it great on actually getting existing stains or marks out but it does leave the carpet looking fresher and cleaner, more so than just with a vaccum.

I have had this mop for a year and have no problems with it. Good price, easy to set up and use. Quick to heat the water so ready to use quickly. Makes the job much faster than a bucket and mop. Comes with a carpet glider Can't be used on timber floors.
