Fine for simple DIY – Works ok and good value if you’re only wanting to do occasional simple welding jobs. (Use the money saved on the price to buy a decent helmet as the supplied face shield is a dangerous beast.) Never given me trouble, uses a standard plug and doesn’t trip the circuit breakers on my basic domestic power board.

Cuts out often and overheats – I bought one to learn with. I wish I didn't. It can't hold its cycles and is a splatter beast. It won't help you learn just frustrate. Another example of landfill products designed and made just to make money. All parts are cheap and useless. I would strongly advise to spend a few hundred dollars and have one for life. If you just need it for DIY.

Awesome value – This machine gets you welding for under a hundred bucks.! and its a good quality tool. The best advice I can offer is that welding comes down to skill. A competent welder can do amazing things with this lil beauty.

Worth buying – This is perfect for DIY welding at home. No need to worry about gas as you do with Mig and Tig. Also weld great outdoors which Tig and Mig don't. Great price for what you get. Only thing, I would suggest buying a separate wire brush and slag hammer as the dual tool supplied isn't very good. Inexpensive and efficient Dual hammer/wire brush not much good

Great for the small, home jobs – I have need to do the occasional weld repair, but didn't have enough jobs to warrant spending a couple of hundred on a welder. Paid $90 for this machine and have been quite happy with its performance. I'm not doing long weld runs, but I've had no trouble doing 50mm and less runs. My tip for anybody buying this machine,is to get rid of the face shield that comes with the welder, and buy a full mask. About $17. The shade of the glass is darker, but you can see the work, and the weld so much easier, particularly if you work in the sun or under a bright light. Inexpensive, and a range of different size rods can be used with this machine. Also comes with a 3 year replacement warranty.
