mulcher – first of it was very poor in operation, the top feeding section caused more grief than help, so removed it, secondly it still wouldn't mulch properly, had spoken to friend at my flying club who told me most needed the blades adjusted, removed blades and put a thick washer under each screw holding blades in place, and guess what, PERFECTERMON it mulches like a dream, so now it get a 5 star rating

Don't waste any money on this product – Spend a little more and get the Ozito Silent Shredder. I have had both. The rapid shredder has two problems. It doesn't do a very effective shredding job although I could live with that if I had to. But the big problem is a major design fault with the outlet chute. This is very narrow, probably to stop idiots putting their hand up it to clear blockages. Ribs narrow the opening to around 2cm. As a result it constantly clogs up, depending on what I am shredding, every 5-15 minutes. And clearing the blockage requires turning a holding screw many, many, many times to take the top off and clear the blockage out. It is also a very noisy product - 110db. I sold my Ozito Silent Shredder when I moved into a Retirement Village thinking that I wouldn't have any more serious gardening to do but soon found that the little I did have needed an occasional shredder. Went for the el cheapo Rapid Shredder but very bad decision. Took it back to Bunnings to complain after 4 months but they didn't want to know me. The product must attract many complaints and just shouldn't be on the market. It does nothing for the credibility of both Ozito and Bunnings.

Good home Garden Shredder – I had a very large pile of vines cane prunings, so I was looking for a way to dispose of what I would think would be about two 6*4 trailer loads. As I don't have a tow bar I thought a shredder might do the trick. I looked online at various options for shredders and looked at a few youtube videos and decided that the Ozito looked ok. I bought the Ozito 2400W Rapid Garden Shredder RSH-2535 from my local bunnings for $165. It was very easy to put together and used it for about 4 hours shredding on the first day. It performed very well, better than I thought it would. I used a plastic tub instead of the cheap plastic bag that came with it. The shredded vines made a good ground cover. I finished the job the next day with the only problem being the electrical Extention cord would disconnect every now and then. I fixed that by making a knot. The next day I pruned about 20 rose bushes and then shredded the debris. It did block up once, but it was easy to open and cleanout.
This shredder exceeded my expectation and I am looking forward to the next lot of prunings to shred. Well worth the money spent.
