Ozito Router Table RTB-003

Reasonable – Seems good you do need a vacuum cleaner/dust extraction. the only issue with mine is that the machined aluminium seems to leave grey marks on the wood. These can be sanded off. fitting the router was a bit of a fiddle. I put a trim router in mine because it made the height of the bit easy to adjust. It was not straight forward to fit the router and get the machine tuned. It was good once set up.

Very badly made – Any one who has used a router table knows that the most important part of a router table is the fence. It must be dead straight. The fence ozito supply with the table is not, or the fence on the table i bought is not. It is plastic and warped. I noticed when i first used it that the wood jumped a little after the wood passed the blade, which left the cut not straight I pushed a piece of wood along the fence (with no blade in) and watched it jump as it moved. I put a straight edge on the fence and there are gaps along it. I had to grind and sand about 1 ml off the right end of the fence and 1 ml of the piece right beside the blade and another 1 ml of the left end. Only then could i push a piece of wood along the fence with no obstructions. The way the table is made you need 3 hands to put a blade in. I got tired of the whole setup. If you are trying to attach a router to it, the best way is take the fence off turn it up side down and attach it that way. Just centre it in the hole. Compress it first. Turn it over and get rid of the clear plastic safety thing around the blade it is useless. That allows you to use the spanner from the top to tighten the bit. Put the modified fence back on. Next move the power switch. Drill 2 holes right on the end and bolt it there. That gives you free access the router underneath. The only way i can adjust the height of the router to get the bit in the right height is by screwing down the 4 legs of the table onto a bench and then use a block of wood and lever between the bench and router, with weight on it reach underneath and release the lever, get it the right height and tighten the lever. Drop a bit in the push in the button from underneath with your left hand and tighten the nut from the top with right hand. It is not a good table, badly made and badly designed.q Better to spend more money on another brand, or take thentime to modify it as i did.
