Perfect work table and sawhorse, versatile, strong and value for money – Highly recommend this. Pros - strong and stable, can easily put a mitre saw on it as well - has 2 clamps embedded that can be used with the table nicely as well - portable and very easy to fold - great value for money compared to other ones - versatile and can link up multiple worx benches Cons - plastic but that does keep it light - clamping vertically against the side of table not as easy, I have to use a piece of wood underneath, that said compared to other ones, this is still way better especially for the price tag

Purchased in at Amazon for $159.

Perfect portable folding work table for the home handy person or even tradesperson – After nearly forty years of meritorious service, I needed to retire my old B&D Work centre and upgrade to something newer and better able to deal with my changed needs. After some research, I determined my needs for a work bench would be better served with a WORX Pegasus Multi-function Table & Sawhorse. Further investigation determined that multiple units are able to be secured together with supplied interlocking links thus producing a larger work surface to use. Subsequently, I ordered two of these on-line with both arriving promptly, well boxed and fully assembled.

While research had indicated that two of these work tables would meet all of my requirements, I was a little concerned with the product being made from predominately “plastic” as opposed to the steel and plywood materials of my previous B&D bench. However, after unpacking, I was reassured with the quality feel of the plastic used and felt it was well up to the task while making it a little lighter (and therefore more easily transportable) than my previous table. Subsequent use has only reinforced this while I understand that the manufacturers have rated each table to be capable of supporting up to 135kg on the 780mm x 360mm flat work surface (450kg whilst in saw horse mode) whilst only weighing 13.6kg.

Appearance wise, the entire work bench folds up flat and can then have the four supporting legs splayed to form a standard “saw horse” (another reason I bought two) with a work shelf (suitable for holding power tools or similar) located between the pairs of legs. There is also room to attach a “power board” if you need it. After reaching this configuration you can then lift the two side “leafs” that automatically lock in place to achieve a flat working surface. Reversing this operation is facilitated by pressing the four locks located halfway down each leg allowing the work surface to collapse downward and returning the unit to “saw horse” configuration. To fold flat, slightly lift the centre of the work shelf and the legs all fold together for easy transport. When folded flat it’s only 125mm thick. Whether folding away or opening to work, it only takes seconds to do.

The work surface contains “cubbyholes” for holding screws and smaller tools as well as some channels to use the two included quick release clamps (normally stored out of the way on the legs). Incidentally, these clamps can work independently without needing to resort to the provided channels and work just as well “vertically” when clamping a parallel sided work piece down onto the table. WORX also included four small “dogs” (pegs) that attach into the work surface to assist in holding an irregular shaped items whilst being worked on. The quick release clamps (with rubber faces) are also predominantly plastic but again, feel high quality and I’ve had no issue holding a workpiece or even any fear that they may break at any moment. The whole package feels well made and ready for a long working life.

Use thus far has been brilliant and I have experienced no problems. They have been flexible enough to fulfill my requirements and the only regret would be why I didn’t purchase these sooner. Don’t be put off by their “plastic” appearance. These units are tougher than they look. Also have a two year warranty (three if you register online). Highly recommended!
