Spend the extra $ and get next product up in the range – I bought this table saw about a year ago and had buyers remorse pretty much instantly once I unpacked it. An absolute pain in the neck to assemble and even then it’s flimsy and awkward to store and manoeuvre. The motor screens and it’s cutting style is rough. I took it back after a year and upgraded to the Ryobi model. 1000% happier with that decision.

Not usable – Normally I'm a pretty big fan of ozito products. Especially their 18v line; they offer great value for money and pretty robust performance. Not this tool. Out of the box, every possible thing was misaligned. Some of these things can be manually adjusted, like the end stops that prevent the blade from being perpendicular to the table. Some,… Read more

however, cannot, like the fact that the table is nowhere near flat. In some places it is concave by about 4-5mm, and other place it is convex. You will never get an accurate cut with this saw unless you replace the entire table. The fence is also not square, vertically OR horizontally, and cannot be adjusted. Riving knife is not centered with the blade, off by about a millimeter. This also cannot be adjusted and is probably a big safety issue.

I get that this is dirt cheap, but honestly it's just money wasted if the tool is not fit for its most basic purpose.

Great motor, but absolutely useless accessories – After 18 months of owning this thing, I'm absolutely sick of this thing and will be returning it tomorrow (once I find where I put the receipt). I never bothered using the side extensions because the rip fence doesn't clamp on to the extension, and the extension wings are an absolute PITA to take off the machine to store it away. The rip fence is… Read more

flimsy and has way too much play, and the miter gauge flops around inside the miter track slot. It's as though nobody in Ozito actually tested the accessories after designing them to specifications. Even though I own a fantastic, high-volume Carbatec dust collector, the dust shroud that goes over the riving knife does absolutely nothing, and half of the dust falls out the bottom of the machine anyway (and yes, I connected them all up correctly). From day one, I had to build a crosscut sled as the accessories that came with this thing are completely useless. I'm returning this saw as I've gotten sick of needing to constantly do test cuts on the setting of the rip fence (which I have to clamp down at the other end to make it even remotely useful), just to make sure the damned thing is still square. This item is not fit for purpose, and I don't care what others say about it being "Good for DIY" and saying "You get what you pay for". If you pay for an item, you expect it to do what it advertises as being able to do: which is cut wood, square. This thing hasn't produced a square cut since I bought it, and I'm fed up with it wasting space in my garage. I'd throw it out if it wasn't for the 3 year warranty on the machine. Thank God for warranties!

Good value, with a few alternations – I purchased this saw when it was on sale for $148, and at that price point I had realistic expectations that it has since managed to surpass. It takes about 30mins to assemble and it is made largely out of plastic and thin steel material, however once assembled correctly it is fairly solid. The fence is largely useless because it doesn't extend… Read more

the width of the entire table, nor does it lock at both ends, which makes it move at one end when cutting. I was able to overcome this easily by purchasing a Craftmate saw cutting guide from Bunnings for $24 that is able to extend the width of the table and clamp down and lock at both ends. The hose is a bit too short on the guard and stretching it makes the guard sit crocked and rub against the blade. Despite advertising a max cutting depth of 85mm I found ripping anything with a depth greater than about 75mm requires removing the guard to be able to push it through past the blade. It is extremely loud, as expected, and requires full ear protection. Overall I am happy with it, but I wasn't expecting a lot for the price and knowing you are purchasing an entry level table saw is worth remembering.

Cheap - but good enough for $145 and light use – This one gets a 4 star not for the quality but bang for buck. Don't expect miracles from it it has many faults but for light use its fine. If you are just a home user on a budget "it will do". The build quality is what you would call poor. As you are assembling the unit even the 6mm bolts and nuts feel soft and you wonder if it will be stable… Read more

enough.

It ends up OK (good enough).

The guide/s are weak so be ready to use a tube and clamps if you are placing large hardwood through it. That is the worse part of this unit, the guides really do need improving.

It is a pain to move around the shop and picking it up by the wings will end up finding some sharp edges.

Consider buying a hand truck that converts to a platform trolley (like the Saxon 200kg Black Multipurpose Adjustable Trolley for $65 or the Westmix Multi Purpose Adjustable Hand Trolley $135) for items like this, they slide under this and lift it off the ground to move it from the shop to outside.

It is worth the four stars if you are after a really basic light use unit. Like I said... bang for buck and if this (and its similar Workzone unit from ALDI) were not available I would not have a table saw.

Glad I got it, for $145 I cannot fault it for my needs.

Will not last the distance – Never really pushed it and only did light work, but when I tried to cut some lengths of PINE it smoked and that was the end of it. Hey you can buy a complete ozito table saw from bunnings for what you'd pay just for one quality saw blade so you can't expect too much. Ok if you want to cut occasional soft timber.  Show details

Works fine for beginners – Works fine for beginners Added a new diablo blade for better cut, you would do this for most saws to be fair. Added longer fence to the existing fence (this is still not stable but hey its a basic model) clamp at the back as a workaround. Cuts fine for hobbyist and home DIYers, setup a wall to wall garage shelving with this saw, homeworkbench, dropsaw stand etc... good enough. Noisy though not a soft start  Show details

Good value piece of kit – I'd intended buying a more well known ( and more expensive !) brand but, as it wasn't in stock, decided to give the Ozito TSF-1211 a try and genuinely glad I did. Written clearly on packaging is the fact that it's a DIY tool and not for industrial use . Had read some quite bad reviews on this saw so was very pleased to find that it handled well… Read more

and cut accurately and smoothly. No hesitation in recommending this tool and will certainly consider buying other products from Ozito.

Fence so flimsy you can't cut straight – I didn't expect a 'professional' saw for the price, but I did expect it would be at least fit for purpose. It's not. The fence is so flimsy that you measure it accurately and then go to cut but there's about 15mm play in it. Totally useless. It clips at your end only, then has a whole heap of play. The fence needs to be anchored at both ends.… Read more

This would add so little to the cost, but I'd have a saw that I don't have to now take back to Bunnings because as it is, it's useless. I'm just wasting my time and timber. It makes you think that no one at Ozito actually ever tried to use this saw. That's how bad it is. Did they do ANY product testing? Clearly not.

Also disappointed that the (mostly unneeded) side flaps don't fold down. This took up a massive part of my workspace whether in use or not.

You are better with no saw than this one.

Too flimsy tonuse for anything usefull – I purchased this saw from bunnings and took it back the next day. The saw and frame was flimsy and too flexible to get anything like a decent cut. While the saw was on special and is the same as the one occassonally pushed by Aldi I found no matter how cheap the price its expensive if it doesnt work as expected. Bunnings were great with refunding the purchase price why i save up for something like the dewalt saw  Show details

OK for the price but too limited for serious work – Firstly: It went together easily straight out of the box. I thought it a bit frail but Hey it only cost $219.00. Surprisingly the rip fence was almost spot on from the get go, as was the 90degree and 45 degree tilt. However the rip fence is limited a cut of 145mm left and 220 mm right. That was disappointing. I was more disappointed to find that… Read more

the extension sides are fixed, as is the rear one, from the line drawings, I had thought they would fold down. This makes the erected saw 945mm deep by 910mm wide. Therefore it is too big a footprint for my limited workshop - which is a single car garage.

Regrettably it will have to go back while I search for a smaller footprint. Pros: It appears to do a fair job of lighter work. Cons: It is pretty frail and takes up a lot of real estate. Also I am not sure how long it would last in service.
