Oztrail Multi Shade

Good choice to make – Quality product, the shade really kept our skin out of the sun and really useful using it on outdoors activities. Thank you

Great for beach – Update. I've had to reduce my rating. This product just doesn't have the quality to give more than a couple of season's use even when used with care. So far a couple of the clips have torn off, the elastic that holds the fibreglass poles together has broken and one of the fibreglass poles has split. This is a great shade product for the beach. Like all of these products, you need to take care with the fabric, as it is thin, presumably to help keep costs and weight down.

Pros:

-The multi shade 6 is nice and large for the whole family. It is high enough you don't need to crawl around inside it.

-The mesh panels in the walls help keep you cool inside

-It packs away nice and compact

-The sand pockets are very handy for the beach

Cons:

-It is a little bit of effort to put up and take down compared to other smaller sun shelters that use Spring steel hoops

-Haven't yet tried to put it up or take it down in a breeze- could be difficult to get it folded away without two people.

-Need to be gentle with it to avoid damaging fabric.

To put it up, you basically thread the collapsible poles through the fabric tubes, then insert the small steel pins to the ends of the poles. The fabric is attached elsewhere via plastic clips and you can also secure using two fabric ties ( one on neither end). Disassembly is the opposite procedure.

Broke on second use – Brought the Oztrail Multishade 4 because of its good size and shape. First use was great and it was a big hit with the kids and adults wanting to escape the sun. Second time I went to use it the stiching on the peg hole came away while it was erected! There was only a slight breeze too. Not happy. It looks like the stiching was not done properly as there are no tears in the actuall fabric.

Worst thing for me is I am not sure where I put the reciept! Plenty of ventilation and large sand pockets for beach use Broke on second use
