The worst roofing on the market – If I could give a zero I would. I'm qualified mechanic, panel beater and spray painter and been around a long time having skills to do all my home projects and repairs for over 30 years. This product has to be the worst roofing on the market. It's absolutely useless. Has zero stiffness like the older products I used to buy. Flexes and warps in… Read more
the sun. Will not sit flush with adjoining panels or sheets. I'm considering consumer affairs as it's not only the cost of the product that's the issue here its the days of labour trying to install something that just isn't up to the job. STAY AWAY FROM SUNTUF ROOFING!!!
Research other brands – I have recently removed fibreglass roofing after 16 years no issues. Replaced it with Suntuf Poly Carbonate from Bunnings. Thinner than ever before and bowing like crazy on 30 degree days. I won’t buy this product again and cannot believe our Australian regulators have allowed this into the market. Nothing like the thickness of the stuff I brought… Read more
from Bunnings 9 years ago. Saggy and as mentioned in other posts does nothing to stop the heat. I will be surprised if this lasts 2 years. This product would be really cheap to make. No reason to have skimped on the thickness when it’s so expensive.

Disappointing to say the least! – Gaps are huge and product is noisy. Contacted Palram and an inspection in WA was arranged at which time I was advised it would be fixed - it wasn't.
Palram Diffused Ice polycarbonate sheeting – I installed the Suntuf Solarsmart Diffused Ice sheets on my patio based on the technical data on these sheets which promised on 21% heat transmission. I’m not sure exactly how they measured this but the infrared transmission is very high. In only 26C temperatures, the radiant heat under the patio was unbearable and made me feel like I was getting… Read more
sunburnt. Every surface was extremely hot for the radiant heat that passed through.
I compared the radiant heat with that of some grey tinted sheets I still had on part of the patio and the Diffused Ice was worse.
I was holding out hope that they’d improved polycarbonate to the point where it works for heat reduction, but obviously not, and now I’m forced to insulate and line the entire patio.
Rating is for a Company director who couldn't tell me why their product was broken/cracked – I had a cracked /broken sheet which i complained about and was sent their warranty papers. The PALRAM SUNTUF representative here in Western Australia stuck to his warranty like a real Trooper! The company must be so proud of him to saving a quarter of a sheet and $150 labour. LMAO Not forgetting this sheet is (cracked/broken) I never used any… Read more
chemicals nor did it receive a high impact! Read the contract......This big multi million dollar company expect the poor installers and contractors of Australia who are trying to make a living to completely finance the removal and replacement of a broken/cracked product!
Sadly ,After a few emails of me telling them what i thought of them ,I was phoned by a contractor who is now replacing the huge 2.2mtr x .450mm product. I wonder if PALRAM SUNTUF is paying them .Guess i'll really never know! One thing for sure . I freaking aint!
Wake up PALRAM SUNTUF Australia. No one or thing is perfect!
Other than that.I love their products and i am going to use them again!
NO Customer Support – They sell their Polycarbonate panels at Home Depot and Menards. Neither of these companies have technical knowledge of the product. Palram will not respond to customer help requests. Their online support documents are conflicting and links in the documents do not work. They make warnings about sealants but fail to provide a compatible list of sealants. I have attempted 3 times to contact them. Won’t answer phone and do not respond to email. Show details
Incompetent company with incompetent management who can’t deliver the order – I paid for 3m to be cut to 2.6 and delivered to Bunnings to be picked up by my builder the morning he was doing the install. Until the builder unrolled it on site it we didn’t realise that it’’s shorter than ordered. So, now when it rains instead of draining onto the garden bed it drains straight onto the paving which will be a problem in my… Read more
location where there can be heavy frosts. It has also compromised the design.
So called the manager who kept telling me they could replace it and I kept on telling them the builder is here to put it up and I paid to cut it to 2.6, not shorter. I’m not paying for the builder to come back again apart from the fact the builder is very hard to get. The manager kept saying again they could replace it so I had to repeat the builder is here to put it up. The manager said firstly that it wouldn’t matter that it was shorter. How could he know where we had the battens, beams and joists! So then he came up with, “everybody makes mistakes”. They can take the order, they can take your money, but they can’t deliver the product as ordered. Then they insult you with their facile comments.
I’m still working out whether to take them to the small claims court. I reported this to Bunnings who didn’t seem at all surprised at the incompetence.
Do not use – I purchased polycarbonate sheets from palram. When i when I finished installing them i saw that from underneath the light past through the sheets differently which made the colours look different. It took a whole month to get replacement sheets and when i got them and finished installing them a second time there was exactly the same problem that i… Read more
had the first time. They took no responsibility for there poor quality materials and had very rude employees. The total of loss for my company was over $3000. Definitely do not use this company!
Product looks geat Service is abyzmal – Sent Palram my plans to quote on in early December and didn't get the materials until mid may. In fairness I ordered a special curved structure but I was told this was not a problem. They had trouble with the curves and did not cut the joists to size as originally promised. I had to cut the aluminium extrusions on site. When I started… Read more
installation, I found the rolling of the section changed its profile and this meant that the (standard) joist caps (supplied) did not fit. They agreed to provide special size joist caps but wanted me to cut and drill them. I pushed the point and they made correct size end plates.
I finished install and found I had 2 x 6m end cap (aluminium) sections left over.
Palram had prepared the bill of material from my design drawing.
All other parts were estimated correctly.
I called Palram twice and emailed, asking to return the end sections for credit.
I got no reply.
I went to the distributor who had processed my order and asked them. They contacted Palram who agreed to accept return and refund, They charged 20% restocking and $55 delivery, even though they had made the mistake quoting.
Very bad product no after sales service – The Suntuf products failed, it did not work as stated to reflect any heat. We contacted there head office here in Australia and were confronted with abuse when we tried to explain our problem. We brought this from Bunnings in good faith, after reviewing thier brouchures. We expected it to work as stated, i.e heat reflective sheets to reflect up… Read more
to 22% of the sun's radiant heat. It didn't. We have since found out that its a Israel company which explained the accent and abuse we recieved.
My husband, took exception to this, and got the product tested. The results, showed it was not to claimed specification, it had half the UV coat it was surposed to, and then found the heat reflective properties promoted in there brouchure was wrong. We rang then again with this imnformation, and this time got a very helpful person on the phone, a lady that took pity on us then told us, that the heat reflective properties were just made up! and not the labs ones. She also asked us to keep this quite, as she didn't like there practices but needed a job.
So there you go, there claims are wrong and there own staff know it... a disgrace!
It was not to specification, it didn't work, and they were so rube and threaterned legal action we moved on to another supplier.
