Excellent Service – Change of mind: I got in touch with Panasonic and they went out of their way to help me resolve the problem. I am now very happy with them hence the change in the rating. Last time I wrote this: Extremely disappointed with trash quality and will not be buying from Panasonic. We were a life long Panasonic users from TV, microwave to handsfree… Read more ·  4

Product Failed, then Panasonic failed me as well. Stay clear of Panasonic!! $2750 TV went bust in just two years – Utterly Disappointed!!! Paid $2750 for TV in June 2016 and it has now gone bust due to manufacturing fault. To add insult to injury Panasonic is now offering me $1240 as a depreciated value. According to them the TV has a lifespan of 8 years. How then can it lose more than half it's value in just two??? So unfair and unprofessional. I feel… Read more

cheated, disappointed, and angry. At the time of writing this review it's been 14 days of me waiting for Panasonic to pay me their paltry depreciated value. Pathetic standard of service. I'd stay clear of this brand!!!

Good TV but not for retail price – Received this TV as a replacement for my dead Panasonic Plasma at a discounted price. The picture quality is very good, I have tried to watch 4K content on youtube and it looks amazing. The build in speakers are not that great but this is the case with most televisions these days due to how thin they are. There enough ports for most users. … Read more

The TV has basic apps built in like Youtube and Netflix, nothing too fancy.

The TV does everything that is required of me and I am happy with the device.

Picture quality – Bought this tv late last year as my old one was on its last leg. I wanted a big tv that Netflix and youtube streaming features. I didn't know that it would have 4k. After buying this tv I have been searching for the coolest 4k videos of sport, nature and other cool things.  Show details

Perfect picture – I love the quality sound and picture of this tv, Panasonic Viera is a good brand and have purchased this brand before a smaller one, could do with a few more ports, slim line and a modern design, as of yet have not had any issues with it. The price was good too, for a smart tv.  Show details

Excellent television – I've had Panasonic TVs for years and I'm yet to be disappointed. I've currently got this big screen as well as three smaller TVs and I'm happy with them all. This big unit though has great inbuilt sound. Yes, I do have a home theatre system which I use for blockbuster movies like star wars where you want the room to shake but for day to day… Read more

viewing the inbuilt sound is very good.

The electronic program guide is the best I've seen. Panasonic have really make this easy to read and to use.

The picture is very clear and the refresh rate is excellent. It keeps up with the Xbox without any lag.

To put it simply.....buy it, you'll like it!

Wow , the Colours – Picture quality is amazing, the sound is on point although we have since purchased a 7.2 surround system. Has more than enough HDMI inputs and a two way port. I don't think i will ever be satisfied with any smart TV's functionality on the internet however this one is at least easy to use  Show details

Awsone Picture and wifi connectivety - very Impressed – I was using a sound bar on my old TV but this one doesn't need it (Good sound for a flat screen). Picture resolution is great even better than my older Panasonic 40 inch HD and is nearly twice the size. The Panasonic recording app (from my phone) needs some improvement but I don't really use it anyway! All in all it is a great user friendly big screen TV (65 inch).  Show details

Good but not as expected – Picture quality is great only on 4k materials - good on full hd. After a huge disappointment, LG 55UH605V, a bad quality tv with vertical banding and dirty screen effect issues, this tv is a good deal if you don't have the money for an oled. The panel is only 60 hz, it has enough HDMI ports (3), the sound is good for an tv (the tv can't play DTS)… Read more

and the only thing i don't like regarding the apps is the fact that i don't have HBO GO available. But, i recently bought an tv box, Alfawise S92, and now i have DTS and also HBO GO. Streaming is a little bit complicated but works great. Comparing this tv with an 9 years old plasma 42PV70PA, also Panasonic, i was expecting a great and very good product.....i'm not 100% satisfied so this is the reason for giving 4 stars.

Best TV ever!!! – Very Good TV for the money. Deep Blacks, lots of contrast and great design. Picture is pin sharp and crisp. 4k and HDR Upscaling works just great adding extra details to the source. Motion is good with IFC on. TV feels solid and it looks expensive. This is great choice if you cannot afford OLED yet.  Show details

A beautiful addition to our Hollywood themed lounge room – As I found while working as a TV salesman years ago, the Panasonic Plasmas were always fantastic. I finally traded in my last Panasonic TV ( a HD plasma) for this even larger UHD LCD TV. It's been a few months now and I'm still loving these great TVs made by Panasonic. Looks amazing, with a nice natural movement and contrast (after adjusting the… Read more

settings to suit my preferences as I always recommend), there are more than enough inputs for all of my devices, the Smart element works seamlessly for Youtube and Netflix viewing which I can control from my smart phone or remote, and the sound is fantastic without even using an additional surround system. The most impressive thing that surprised me with this TV however, has been the 3D. Not only do 3D blu rays look amazing but the 2D to 3D setting works far better than I expected. I've watched quite a few music concert blu rays and Star Wars films, which were not released in 3D, but using this feature, they turn into what looks like something that was released intentionally as a 3D release! There are quite a few more surprising features on this TV too...more than most buyers will likely even bother trying but the tech geeks will be very impressed with what this TV can do. Fantastic! And I'm a fussy tech geek!

Crystal Clear vision. and light weight – Im not a big teckie so I was clueless as to what kind of flatscreen I wanted. I had a general idea of what I needed so my search onlinbe lead me to the Panasonic Viera. I wanted something lightweight so it wouldnt be a pain to lug around (I move places usually twice a year). Crystal clear and the colors are real vibrant.  Show details

Maintaining with previously experienced quality Panasonic TV's – One needs to be careful about writing objectively on 4K TV's. It always takes me a week or two to get the picture settings exactly how I like them, and this TV is no different. Where it really jumped out at me (compared to my previous Panasonic 60" plasma) was when watching Blu Ray DVD's. Wow 10/10. Sound quality, HDMI connections, Apps and… Read more

features are all excellent. Access to Netflix through the purpose specific button on the remote is really handy. I bought another Panasonic (I have had quite a few over the years) because they just don't let you down and the picture never deteriorates. I only ever replace them because I look for the latest features. In this instance, I really wanted a picture in picture feature that we had on a TV many years ago. That TV was a Sony (expensive at the time) but died after no where near long enough.

Excellent TV – Before purchasing a new TV a read a lot of reviews and noticed there where more bad than good. Maybe it's because when something is bad we tend to complain online rather than praise. I previously had a Panasonic plasma and it weighed 60kg and used a lot of power. I finally decided on Panasonic again for a couple of reasons like, split screen… Read more

viewing, great picture quality and bang for buck.

When I first installed the TV I must admit though I wasn't impressed with the picture quality. However after installing the latest update and replacing all my cables with high end products the difference was amazing. Take my advice, when you get a TV don't buy cheap cables.

I use Apple TV and a Bose surround sound system so the operating system and sound wasn't a selling point for me. However after playing around with the operating system for awhile I found it to be fantastic. The remote is really handy too.

I would highly recommend this model. The only negative I have is I wish I bought the 70" screen. I paid $2500 at the good guys.

I hope this helps you out

Great mid-range 4k UHD TV – My previous TV was damaged and needed replacing so I decided to upgrade to a 4k UHD TV. I would have liked an Ultra Premium HDR TV, however these are out of my price range. After a lot of research I decided to go with Panasonic's new 2016 DX700 model as it is compatible with HDR (although not a "true" HDR TV) and was available for a great price in… Read more

the 58" size at Appliance Central (online) compared with some other models I had been considering.

The TV comes well packaged, although I do think Panasonic could improve by adding a padded sheet to the screen for added protection during unboxing and set up.

This TV comes with a standard remote with a direct Netflix access button, a touchpad remote for ease of use with Smart TV functions, cable ties and a stand. The stand can be adjusted to suit the size of the TV unit.

The stand was easy to assemble and fix to the TV unit. The TV is around 26kg and due to the large size it required 2 people to manouvre it.

Once in place and connected to power it is very easy to set up. The initial start up screen guides the user through a quick setup and the touchpad remote pairs instantly.

The picture out of the box is good although calibration of the settings made it even better. The speakers produce a nice sound with great vocal clarity, however the bass is weak. I have purchased an additional soundbar for use with this TV, however the TV speakers would be sufficient for many.

Connectivity is fabulous. There is built in wifi, an ethernet option, 4 HDMI connections (3 standard and 1 ARC), 3 USB connections and the standard legacy connections. The TV also has Bluetooth connectivity and apps to enable extra functions through other devices. The Smart features and Firefox OS are fabulous and incredibly easy to use.

Panasonic does not have a wide range of streaming apps available, however you can stream to the TV from other devices. I added Chromecast for this purpose which works really well. I would like to see Panasonic add a wider variety of apps to their store as other leading brands have much better variety in this area.

Overall this is a great TV for the price, especially if you want HDR functionality without the hefty price tag. I would give the DX700 8/10 overall.
