Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ30 Questions & Answers
Verifiedmy camera is not focusing so pictures are blurry. Any help?
Not 100% sure about your focusing problem since the settings are not mentioned but: - I tend to encounter that focusing problem situation (blurry / not focusing ) if the camera is set for "close up"(macro) and the zoom is of certain range (eg zoomed in). Solution: I would zoom out to get better focusing and physically move further out from the subject (& editing in computer later to trim out the unwanted bits).
- For closeup shots, I tend to select "macro" and physically move the camera closer to the object instead of zooming in due to the mentioned focusing issue (may not be a real issue but may be just a characteristic of the camera design).
Hoping that these comments may be relevant !
Hello, I haven't used my camera for a while but in relation to macro I thought you just had to be close to the object and set it to macro. No zooming should be needed?
I have the TZ 30 and use it was holiday trips mainly, today zoom will not retract. Have turned it off and on several times just says zoom error and it still won't retract any suggestions?
I'm sorry I can't help you. I hope it hasn't happened while on holiday. Hopefully it will close when it times out to close the camera down.
My sister's TZ got similar zoom problem. There are suggestions on the web but none of that work for her TZ. I feel that her TZ camera's zoom got a mechanical problem since it seems physically loose during retracting/extending (it does not want to be permanently retracted unless the battery hatch is open at the end of retraction - but not a fix). Sorry I can not help, I have tried all sort of things to fix my sister' TZ but no prevail - BTW she bought another camera already.
I have a Lumix DMC-TZ30 Camera and have recently updated my computer from PC to Apple. I now need the software to read my photos and transfer to my hard-drive. Please bare in mind that I no longer have a CD drive. Any ideas?
I'm sorry I wish I could help you but I'm not tech savvy! I'm also not a fan of Apple products so I hope someone else is able to help you.
(i) Your main question: PC to Apple: Use an USB as the intermediate device. Copy photos PC to USB then USB to Apple. (ii) Camera to Apple: Pull the SD card from the camera and download photos from it. I do not have Apple boxes, but I think desktop Apple have a SD slot for this job.
(iii) CD drive: Even we might need it once in a blue moon. I got a portable CD/DVD drive (~$30) connected to USB port. Very handy to have.
Do you by any chance sell a Panasonic cable for a dmc tz 30 as I have lost mine or can you help me where I may purchase one please? Kay Austin
Hi there unfortunately I'm still using this camera so I need my cable. Google for one online.
My camera will no longer turn on. Have checked battery and that is not the problem. Any suggestions?
There is no light appearing on the camera at all.
Sorry I am not an expert you will need to go into a camera store. Best of luck.
when turned on cannot get any reaction other than screen lights up with message system error [ zoom]. Cannot review photos or anything.
Try taking the battery out - if no luck I'd contact Panasonic
tried that made no difference
