Love this drone – bought this for my husband and he loves it, does all the things the really expensive ones do. Camera quality is fantastic we have taken it to a few places and got really amazing shots with it. Show details

Really like the drone – Purchased the BB 2FPV power just a month ago. First real drone. Love it. The flight plan app is great for smooth video. Goes super quick in sport mode. The smart phone holder was missing a retaining screw when unboxed, I emailed parrot and had a new holder in a week. (On line retailer didn't want to know.) 3 crashes, no damage it's tough. having problems losing connection should use the flight controller. I get about 23 minutes flight time. Instruction manual is light on, but plenty of advice on the net. Only regret is I didn't buy it sooner.

The perfect starters drone – I’ve had my Parrot Bebop 2 for over a year now, and it’s with deep regret that I’ve handed it back to the place of purchase for warranty repairs. It has an issue causing calibration failures. In this time I’ve flown heaps - literally hundreds of hours. I’ve crashed 3 times (those trees literally jump out at you!!). Each time it’s been at low… Read more

altitude, and all three were before I realized I couldn’t abort the “home” mode using the launch/land button on the sky controller 2 - a feature that should be adopted instead of having to hit home again to abort.

I love the follow me and flight plan features, although I feel ripped off that we have to pay to use them. The drone is smart enough to have these functions, they should be free.

I love “return to home”. Although it’ll land a metre or two off, it’s close enough for me.

I’ve tested full altitude and purposely gone beyond the 2km max range, both faultless!

Battery life is spot on. I’ve had no less than 23 minutes out of a battery each time. That’s plenty of air time for me.

I think in areas of dense trees it could be better, but as an amateur drone it’s great. You get what you pay for, and I’ve happily learnt my way into drone world with no motor faults, still using the original propellers as well.

Great drone for the price! You’ll be happy!

If you want the best camera and the best of everything, buy something else. This is perfect for amateurs and hobbyists.

VERY POOR BATTERY – Bought this for our son's birthday, wanted a relatively simple drone, self-contained unit with a camera suitable for a beginner. Unit is OK had read the reviews which spoke about wifi connectivity and should have paid more attention. This is a real issue it has sporadic connectivity, lost connection on at least every one of the 7 trips to the park… Read more

and it never went beyond 30 meters from the iPhone. Regained it on every occasion, once after a full reboot mid flight, but this is an issue and you would really need to think about it if you intend using this outside a very short range. My biggest gripe is the LiPo (Lithium-Ion Polymer)battery $100 per pop replacement. As a beginner my son has only sporadically used this unit. After a couple of months it sat for periods and would recharge although noting it recommends "keeping the battery in a seperate in a cork lined iron box" we did not have one handy not sure who does but maybe we are behind the times. After a period of about 12 weeks of no use KAPUT the LiPo battery would not work, would not charge and is now effectively gone. This is a roughly $500-$700 unit depending on where you buy it and for a battery to last about 1 hour total and 7 uses is nothing short of a bad joke. Obviously no battery no unit. Understand Parrot are not the creators of the Lipo battery technology it is used in macs and all sorts of devices, this version is clearly defective. We had not used it for some time (weeks) but I am sorry a $100 battery just needs to be better, it does.

Great Fun – Great Fun. First time drone user as I got it for a Christmas present. Easy to use. Easy to connect to a Samsung ph. Just wanted something basic and not too over the top. Very happy with it and looking forward taking it camping and seeing some great views :)  Show details

Great Fun – An excellent buy for a first time drone user. High quality video and still images. Very easy to set up and use via smartphone app. Very intuitive to use for someone who has never used a UAV before. Have already captured some great video and managed to upload to DropBox to share with family and friends. The only problem is the battery it shipped… Read more

with won’t charge beyond 70% ... apparently there’s a problem with three cells not being properly balanced. Hasn’t put me off, just annoying.

Bumpy start then smooth, easy flying – Ok, first of all, let me start by saying my introduction to the Bebop 2 was...... interesting. I got this unit as a Christmas gift and was pretty excited about it. Imagine my disappointment then when after literally ten minutes of flying, the drone flipped mid air and crashed to the ground after an engine failure! Took it back to the retailer… Read more

and it was exchanged for a brand new unit immediately.

Since then, it has been fault free flying. A great drone with excellent range (I have the Skycontroller) and it has been a breeze to pilot. Great for beginners and more advanced flyers.

Picture quality is excellent and the video is on par with my GoPro.

Highly recommend.

Replacement Propeller Blades Virtually Impossible to Find – Drone is ok although good luck if you need repalcement propeller blades as I've found them virtually impossible to find. Parrot themselves,(website store) are unable to supply them so no other retailer can supply as a consequence. Good luck trying to have Parrot return an email which by the way is the only way you can get a hold of them. (sent 5… Read more

days ago and still waiting). There is another division of the manufacturer you can get a hold of by phone although their speil is they don't, and have no control of or over the website store.

Overall very poor customer service in this respect together with their inability to supply such a simple consumable as replacement propeller blades which are no doubt one of the first things that are likely to be damaged or broken.

Meanwhile our kids have had a christmas present they havn't been able to use since the day after christmas....

If your thinking about purchasing a drone, suggest you look into the particular manufacturer being able to supply the consumables it may require prior to deciding which to purchase. Not much good spending $700 plus dollars on something you cannot use....
