performance after an energetic regime, i.e. chasing and retrieving his tennis ball, he'll sometimes limp a few times and favours his left side. Although Max is not a young dog now, 10 years old, he's a very spontaneous dog and his vet check-ups, etc, have all been on track apart from a little weight gain from spoiling him.

To aid in his comfort, as we've done for all our pets, we have his kennel on our back covered decking, out of extreme weather conditions and wind. We often change his bedroom linen, mattress and artificial grass flooring after a good wash and shampoo.

With this type of care, we have experienced an enjoyable journey and a bond with all our four-legged family members over the years, only to be heartbroken when those unfortunate internal failures become us all with age.
