Needed to replace a Philips Air fryer where the wire grille basket was losing its coating and contaminating the food. Also some issues with coating beginning to peel from the enclosing basket. Investigated replacement parts but these were expensive so decided to replace the entire air fryer. Rather than moving “sideways”, chose to upgrade my… Read more
purchase to a twin drawer model, reasonably priced and with a decent warranty. Settled on a Philips NA352/00 which met the requirements. Despite having an RRP of $399, found it online in a sale for $197.
THINGS I LIKE ABOUT IT * Stylish design in matt black with gold accented colouring on the handles. Top surface is in shiny piano black * 9 litre two drawer design with one larger (6L) and one smaller (3L) configuration. As the drawers are operable independently, this means that if you are only cooking something small, you can just use the smaller drawer with its lesser power (and cleanup) requirements * Internal grille areas have down away with the problematic “wire basket” design and have moved to a more “solid flat steel” arrangement which is coated with a non-stick surface which has (thus far) proven to be easily cleaned and free of food sticking (although I still add some spray oil to facilitate this) * Ability to separately control the drawer temperatures and cooking times. For different types of foods in different baskets, you can also set these to sync which will cause them both to complete their cooking cycle at the same time. You can also set the parameters for cooking on one basket and have it transfer those same settings to the other basket * There is a “shake basket” function which can be switched on to remind you to take the drawer out and shake the contents. This happens two or three times through the cooking cycle and is very useful for cooking potato chips * Compared to other air fryers I have had, this one is reasonably quiet and on some occasions, I have had to put my hand behind the device (where it exhausts air) to see if that particular drawer is actually working * There are a number of presets which can be activated based on the type of food you are cooking. If you select one of these and the setting is not to your liking, it can be manually over-ridden. The eight presets are for fresh fries, frozen fries, chicken, meat, veggies, fish, cake and reheat * Two year warranty * Still fits in the space we previously used to store our single drawer air fryer * Cooking is even with minimal intervention and with economical power use (As economical as it can be for a kitchen appliance with two heating coils) * Cord winder for the power lead (detachable if you don’t need it) on the back * Drawer baskets are dishwasher safe * Numerous recipes available on downloaded app
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE SO MUCH * Gloss piano black surface on the top is an absolute finger magnet as it serves as the touch sensitive control panel for the fryer. Needs frequent cleaning off due to its highly reflective nature * When setting your cooking parameters, you can sometimes get lost in the settings or find a control requires a slightly harder push to activate than another. Particularly have issues when actioning changes in settings during a cooking cycle with two baskets and just wanting to change one * Problems ensue with unexpectedly altering settings on the other basket that you didn’t want to occur. Have found myself a number of times just switching the entire device off and back on again to reset what I want (essentially clearing it and starting over). * Having to get used to the drawers not being on rails with a stop (as in my previous air fryers) as these drawers simply “come out completely”. * The “attention beeper” is very soft. If you have other noises going on in the kitchen, you may not hear the beeper to indicate cooking is finished or it is time to shake the basket drawer.
OVERALL Am generally happy with my purchase of this appliance. The two drawer basket design and non-stick coatings make for an easy use and cleanup experience. Indications are the new cooking surfaces should be more durable than the wire grille of the previous fryer. Would like to see some work to simplify the control panel in a future model as using some settings and in particular altering settings mid cycle is not intuitive. The manual is the usual style multi language leaflet but does do a good job of explaining the features. The things I don’t like so much are relatively minor in the overall scheme of things and do not prevent me from recommending this appliance to others.
You'd think, for the price they charge, they could at least include an instruction manual?! Not everybody has a smart phone, or knows how to scan a QR code and download an ap. I don't do 'aps'. It's actually disgusting on othe part of cheapskate Philips. I'm going to return and get a refund.
Having never owned an Air fryer I unfortunately anticipated something spectacular but was to be disappointed. Told in the store it worked as a microwave and came with instructions, neither of those was true. Basically it is just a grill with a fan… Read more
over the elements to push air down. Instead of spending $400 it would have been a better idea to purchase a $98 smaller unit from K-mart. My first attempt was not great. A battered burger with about 16 minutes was Hott(ish) and slightly crunchy. The unit was purchased primarily to heat (cook) a pie or a couple of DIM Sims etc so probably too big for asingle person. There was no clear explanation of the icons
Follow-up · The unit now sits in a box gathering dust. I purchased a no-name unit which is smaller and more economical. The stores advice was completely wrong, they didnt even know their own product or simply didnt care.

If your looking for a replacement airfryer or are getting on the bandwagon, I suggest giving this one a go. The dual drawers are a blessing, you can cook different/multiple items at the same time and at different temperatures for different lengths of time. You can also just use the little drawer for smaller items without having to use the big… Read more

Bought the white coloured version. Awesome air fryer that cooks brilliantly. Chips are so crunchy. It is easy to use and navigate. Has Philips app as well with many more recipes and tips if you wish to delve deeper. Very easy to clean. Show details · 1
An exercise in frustration – I'm sure this is an excellent air fryer. However, there are two major deal breakers here. The display is so dim that any light that comes from a window will make it virtually impossible to see. (See photo.) There are no instructions on what button does what. Just a series of icons that may or may not explain something. (I think I've worked then… Read more
out but frustrating none the less. Not everyone is icon savvy.)
The help online and the manual that you receive (either online or in the box) does little to assist.
I called Philips' support line, and they told me they could not assist and to send the unit back to where I bought it. The service was very polite, though.
Honestly, I cannot for the life of me comprehend what the designers were thinking when they were designing this nor how their support has not been given basic information about how it works.
If you're okay with having to play guessing games, then this might not be an issue for you.
Otherwise, I can't recommend this for those who are not very intuitive.
Sorry Philips. Your Airfryers are good, but maybe put a little more care into making them functional for the average person.

Initially - better than expected but then reality hit home – After a bad experience with a much cheaper Phillips Air Fryer, we approached this purchase with some misgivings. Our positive past experience with this type of cooker had been with De Longhi multi fry models that performed extremely well but were let down by the lack of longevity of the cooking trays. They also collected any oil that was released… Read more
from the food and kept it in the cooking area. For a start, the Phillips is so very much quieter than the De Longhi models. Cooking so far has included mini spring rolls (better results than the De Longhi) Dim Sims (good with a dash of water added) Chicken Thighs (excellent results) roasted vegetables (excellent) French Fries (great result) and Rump Cap beef roast (quick and nicely cooked. Also tried some soft-boiled eggs, sausages and bacon for breakfast. Some tweaking required on my part for that. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Easy to recommend.
BUT - After 12 months of use the non-stick coating has deteriorated to the point that bare metal is showing and food is sticking to the baskets. Cleaning has always been via soaking followed by a plastic brush or simply in the dishwasher. Had abrasives been used it would be understandable.
18 months after purchase the unit has reached the point that to continue using it was probably detrimental to our health. Searched online for replacement parts that would have extended the useful life of the machine but very few are available and certainly not the parts that are in contact with food. Deposited in the recycling bin and replaced it with a far more advanced model from a different manufacturer. Lower price. Feels and looks to be much better quality than the discarded unit. Am I old fashioned to expect a longer life span than 18 months from these utensils?
