Really Good Compact Airfryer – Great little air fryer, love it. Nice compact size so it's easy to store and it looks ok too. Show details · 1
Good airfryer - but design refinements needed – Good airfryer for its price (I bought in a half-price special). It cooked well and cooks crispy food. It is not that hard to clean. Perfect for 1-2 people. Philips is the only company offering airfryers coloured white, not hideous black. So, it suits modern minimalist décor themes. On the positive side, the power stops when you pull out the drawer… Read more · 1
to check on cooking or to move or turn items. However, the timer is mechanical, not electronic. The timer keeps ticking even if the airfryer is off, such as when you open the cooking drawer. As other reviewers have mentioned, the temperature and timer knobs are both very stiff and also hard to read to set to the exact time/temperature needed. You may be typically a few minutes off as well as +-5 degrees off. It would be easier if there were digital displays of both the time remaining and airfryer temperature. As a minimum, the knobs need to be flush with the arrow. Note: • You cannot tell when the airfryer achieves the desired temperature as the light never goes out. So, when is the temperature right to commence cooking? • Timer knob is so tight it can be snapped with basic use. Great care is needed. • Cooking with this airfryer is completely different to our conventional fan-forced oven. The airfryer needs lower temperatures and somewhat faster cooking times, compared to what we are used to. It’s a voyage of discovery with burned food. • There are no satisfactory recipes available, particularly for fast-foods such as frozen chips and pies. The recipes printed on top of the airfryer are fairly useless, so it is a good thing they are scarcely legible. For recipes, you have to download a recipe sheet from Philips, but this is unhelpful as well – as is the phone app promoted by Philips. • If you are new to airfryers, essentially, you are on your own with a voyage of discovery.
Great product – The Philips airfryer is a no Hassel tool to cook an array of foods. Show details · 1
Philips air fryer HD9200/21 – I am a first time user of this product, I am having issues with finding the correct receipts on the nutriu app. I'm finding this very complicated. Im not sure íf Phillips airfryer essential HD9200 is the correct air fryer on the app. Any advice
Easy to use – Looks great on the bench love the white and gold. Large basket feeds the whole family. Love the recipe ideas shared on the app. Show details
Difficult to see temp and time settings – First time use and I needed a torch and magnifying glasses to try and accurately set temperature. I think the writing on the white could have been a better colour which would have made the settings alot more visual, and perhaps adding 180 as a temperature setting would have made life easier. Apart from that when I managed set the temperature to approximately what I needed the first try results on some frozern chips was great. Show details
Chemical Smell Imbedded Throughout The Whole House – The air fryer was priced well and with a brand like Phillips, you would expect some quality. However, the chemical plastic smell this thing exudes is absolutely attrocious! Before I cooked in it, I thoroughly washed the unit before running it for 1 hour and then wiped it out with vinegar before running it for another 1 hour, knowing that new… Read more
plastic will sometimes smell when heated. But this unit is on another level! The whole house has been permeated with a chemical plastic smell that can not be gotten rid of. I have used it 3 times to cook (thinking the chemical smell should be gone), and whilst it cooks fine, each time the chemical stench has only increased within the house. 4 days later, I walk into the house and all i can smell is chemicals permeated into everything.
Im quite concerned as to what this is doing to my health.
Absolutely not recommended under any circumstances!
Update: I called Phillips and they came to the party providing a reference number for a full refund from the retailer.
