A close shave – Having had this shaver since August 2010, i thought that after almost 4 years, it was time to update it with a 3D shaver. This was endorsed after my wife suggested cleaning the heads with a little brush. The wheels and cutters came loose. When I tried to lick them back, the head became detached and fell into the bathroom floor, scattering the… Read more ·  4

various components over the floor. So much for being fussy with the more intricate cleaning . I scratched my head while my wife got a plastic bag to put the various parts into. " they can put it together, so can I" I said. I should have read the manual first . Now it's back together. It was easy . This has been the best shaver I've ever used . Except there is no warning regarding charge left . It seems that the comment sensis of opinion regarding the newer 3D shavers is , battery life. So I'm going to keep this one until the final but of life is gone from it. It's still as good as the day I bought it. Thank you Phillips. Best shaver, better than my Braun No battery left indicator

I am back on razor blades – I really really hate this shaver. It is tediously slow and misses lots and lots of bristles, no matter how many times you try to shave them. Eventually I reverted back to razor blades. Only reason I have not thrown the piece of crap out of the window is because it was a present from my family. A waste of money, but it's the thought that counts. Present Slow, ineffective, doesn't shave closely or at all for that matter.

Excellent – I have always had cheap Philishaves in the past which had been ok. Decided to spend a little extra and it was so worth it!!! Brilliant shave, smooth as and so easy! Closest shave I've ever had, fast, charge last for weeks, easy to clean.

Excellent – I had my previous Series 7000 AquaShave for 6 years and thought it was great. Recently had to replace it with this model and it seems light years better and for the same sort of money. Admittedly it is only a week old but have never had a smoother shave, the cutting heads must be very well designed. I have had one other brand of electric shaver… Read more

since changing from blade shaving and my total preference is for Phillips products. Very easy and quick to operate for a really good shave. A quick rinse under hot water, leave it open over night to dry and its as new again. The storage bag is too small to include the charger cable. Have kept my previous bag which is much larger and accommodates everything.

Brilliant shaver – Coming from a series 4 philips and a 8000 broun this is like a dream come true, above average shave, and quick, Had it for a month now with one charge and every 2nd day use Shave ease, and charge time I expected the stand to act as a charge unit, but it its just a stand, what a waste

Philips HQ 8240 – My first Philips shaver lasted 20 years, my next Philips shaver died after 7 years and no parts available to fix the switch. My new one is great for now but time will tell. Its quite with multi cutting heads and gives a reasonable shave for an electric razor. I've had it for about a month & still waiting for the light to flash which indicates it needs charging. For once they have supplied a blade cover that actually stays on when not in use.

Bad – This is a great shaver, if you don't mind spending an hour shaving. Doesn't pick up stray hairs and you have to continually pass over the same area to get a clean shave. At the end, you end up with raw skin. Easy to clean Doesn't give a close or quick shave
