Product does not last – This blender has been used daily to blend a mix of ice and fruits only. After 2 weeks of constant use except for weekends, there is a smell that emits from the motor underneath the blender, and the blender will stall and cease to work. It will only start up again after a few minutes of rest which is quite disappointing for a blender this new. A simple blend that usually takes 5 minutes will now take 15 to 20 minutes.  Show details

Very good except for one flaw – This blender is really good. Worked great for several months and its main task was to make smoothies. The only problem is when the axe of the blades started to leak. I thought initially that I could live with that but it got worse and worse to the point of leaking a dark grease like thing and leaking a lot! I realised that the product overall is… Read more

really well made but I couldn't understand why they decided to save money on the blade axe which was not stainless steel and was clearly wearing out by normal use. So basically in about 6 months I couldn't use it anymore. If it wasn't because of this problem I would give it 5 stars. power, functions, well built, easy to clean, glass jug very poor material used in the blade axe

Superior product at an affordable price – I decided I wanted to get into the "green smoothie" craze and so investigated the best blenders out there. I am a Choice subscriber, visited several shops and read the reviews on this website. I chose Philips given the excellent reviews it has received overseas and also because it has a 2L capacity glass jug which is not too heavy to handle and… Read more ·  2

very easy to hold. It makes enough for four and I've blended in dried apricots and dates and ice as well as leafy vegetables and frozen fruit. I haven't tried anything hot yet but I'm more likely to let a soup cool down or use my stick blender for that (to save washing up). I'm confident that the jug won't crack or chip and the base has suction cups so it is incredibly secure. The other plus is the spatula which is included - this really helps and you don't have to worry about hitting the blades accidentally if you used your own. It seems as if the Vitamix is the "must have" in the green smoothie world but - for around $100 - this is doing me just fine, thank you! Capacity, spatula, power

Not Bad – I bought this blender as I wanted a high quality product with a large glass jug and the ability to crush ice. The 2L jug is made from thick borosilicate glass and the base is quite an attractive SS finish (will show fingerprints) with suction caps on the bottom for stability on your bench top. I have used this blender 2-3 times a week for the… Read more

last two months and I am satisfied with its performance.

Sometimes when making smoothies there are some lumps even after 30-40 seconds on "smoothie mode" Saying that, it makes short work of ice and frozen bananas. Also, cleaning is a cinch with a bit of detergent and water and a few presses of the Easy Clean Button.

Even though this blender is quite expensive I would recommend it to someone who blends regularly and wants a powerful easy to clean product. Easy to clean, Large capacity borosilicate jug Expensive
