A great product – We used the blender to blend food for our toddler. We used it almost every day and had no problem with it. It is easy to wash after usage. It is great product and i would recommend it to any parents whose baby are starting on solid food or fruits.  Show reply

Broke after a few uses – I had high expectations. Phillips products are usually good. I used the stick blender only for purée pumpkin soup, strawberries, blueberries and making smoothies with soft frozen yoghurt. I took good care of the blender, followed the manual to the letter. I never used ice, frozen food, fibrous food, chocolate or nuts, and yet sadly it played up and blew up after 6 months of use. Versatile and easy to clean Poor quality. Broke after 6 months.

Not that great – I purchased this stick blender less than 12 months ago, i know the brand as other products with phillips have been great. After using the blender the first time I noticed it was much more noisy and not as smooth as other blenders I have used. This did not bother me at all as I didn't pay much for this product. On one occasion I was making a… Read more

smoothie using soft ingredients and it started sounding like something was wrong, I took out the blender and the blade attachment had come loose and some brown oily liquid had contaminated the smoothie. I don't have the box or receipt so not sure if I can get my money back. Not buying a cheap blender again. Inexpensive It broke,

Was great... then wasn't – We received this hand blender as a wedding present. We loved it at first, worked very well, even crushing ice to make smoothies. The other attachments were good also. However after only three months, some things have begun to go wrong: 1. The main blending attachment has rusted on the inside. This caused rusty liquid to seep out after being… Read more

washed. The bad metallic smell that also accompanies rust is there.

2. The motor unit has begun to make some very strange noises... sounds like it's about to explode.

We would like to have it looked at by philips but as it was a wedding gift do not have "proof of purchase". Do we need this to have Philips to look at & possibly replace the unit for us? good motor, ascetically: loved the colour, did the job well, until it didn't anymore. 3 months old & breaking

Wazz it up! – I recently upgraded my old hand blender to this one when Bub went onto solids. I liked the attachments and the versatility. I particularly like the 'chopper' attachment which is great for baby food, onions and pesto. The rubber grip at the base makes it very stable. Most of the parts are dishwasher safe, although the chopper bowl is prone to… Read more

dirty water pooling inside a rim when upside down but that is not a major problem.

BUT- I did have a problem making soup the other day. The metal edges or blades of the 'wand' scratched and damaged the base of my pot (which is Scanpan so very durable). Perhaps I got a bit zealous and pressed the 'turbo' unnecessarily but in the end it ruined my soup with flecks of pot!

I like and trust Jamie Oliver and Philips products so I'll keep using it but hopefully my soup survives! Stylish, well-priced, useful attachments and accessories, recipe cards included Turbo is too strong and can damage cookware

Blew up after 6 mths – Purchased as bub started to eat solids to purée fruit and veg. After 6 mths of not even daily use it blew up whist I was making apple purée (very close to my face). There was a large bang, spark and smoke. It also tripped the household electric supply. I contacted customer service through their website contact form but only after my husband left a… Read more

message on their Facebook site (3weeks post email) did we receive any contact. We are still waiting for the arrangements to collect the Philips and have been told a new one will be delivered...how long that will take who only knows. In the mean time we have had to purchase a new one and we got the Kambrok. The performance is generally a lot better than the Philips ever performed. We are still waiting for the arrangements to collect the Philips and have been told a new one will be delivered...how long that will take who only knows. It was a waste of our money.

Safety issue and generally poor performance.
