I have a Piaggio MP3 400 after purchasing it second hand in 2014 and have been commuting to work 50km a day. Faultless – I have not customised anything other than the standard screen. At high speed - smooth and stable. I rather naughtily have gotten to 140 k and not a sign of death wobbles. I also have a GIVI Airflow screen I put up on the motorway for a comfortable ride. The bike is much better on corregations, mud and rain because of that third wheel. A lot more… Read more

stable than a Yamaha Majesty I previously had. The previous owner blew the tilt pressure sensor. Easy fix if you bleed it right.

Unique yet quirky – I am intrigued by this unique, quirky and innovative vehicle. This scoot feels firmly planted on the road especially in roundabouts and corners, and brakes superbly because of the extra wheel, and even the 250cc version goes like a scalded cat and easily outguns and outruns cars in city traffic. The large windscreen and leg shrouds provide great… Read more

protection and there is massive storage for shopping, riding gear and helmets. Most reviews I have read are full of praise for the MP3, for good reason, and its practical but unusual design has spawned several imitators. For me it is a curiosity and a collectors item, to be ridden enthusiastically and shown off, especially its party trick of standing up by itself when stopped in traffic or parked. It qualifies as a superb, comfortable and safe commuter that tends to get noticed. And it's a fun thing to ride once you have mastered its quirkiness.

MP3 300 Eye catcher..Safe ride – Safe, quick, zippy comfortable and enormous luggage space..Well its Italian design, means trendy..fashionable ..Comparing the Japs in quality-reliability its a Step down..and again,Italians doing it a little bit more complicated..Rides are smooth with pillion, breaking excellent even on wet tram lines, maybe ABS should be standard for even better and… Read more

Junk – Not very happy with this vehicle. I've rode all my life, since I was 12. This vehicle has horrible quality electronic switches and sensors. The hydraulic lock stopped working early on in the bike's life. All the toggle switches would wiggle in the plastic handlebar covers. Turn signal switches intermittently working. Head light wires flickered,… Read more

then it started having a high idle off the freeway and began shutting off at every stop light. Now it won't stay running. Seating leans forward giving you the feeling you have to do a pushup to keep yourself on the seat. Seat upholstery split wide open by 2011, this vehicle was garage kept. My knees were cramped bad, I'm 5-6. One word-disappointment.

Not good – At £7500 the piaggio MP3 500 is well over priced , I was expecting this bike to serve me well for ten years but had problems from day one ie the bike failed to start on first attempts this problem continued on and off over the year I owned the bike (AO64YND ) some times taking up to ten minutes to start . After reading another users review which… Read more

stated nothing but problems I sold my bike with 16500 miles on to the scooter cafe in Maidenhead, I was taking my bike to the scooter cafe for repairs etc which I had to visit often - within three months I had to have the bike serviced twice to guarantee warranty ( crazy ) then within a couple of months the accelerator return cable ( like a bicycle brake cable ) snapped Which is a £450 pound repair but was covered on warranty then three months later I noticed the steering was getting stiff - it turn out to be a steering notch which is related to the poor steering bearings wearing out this is another £450 pound repair, Not long later the piaggio service book stated the bike needs another service ( 6000 miles ) which involved the drive belt being change at a cost of over £350 pounds ! The front end is very heavy . This bike is very disappointing I was glad to get rid off it , if your rich and don't mind spending over one thousand pound a year on repairs and don't my your vehicle being taking apart and put back together every now and then buy one but I definately wouldn't recommend a piaggio MP3.

Loving it – Turns heads on the motor way which means the motorists are watching me which is good. Enough power to get out of the way when the 'Road is Mine' drivers arrive. At almost 70 my wife and I enjoy the ride. Averaging 25 km to the litre. Storage space is a bit tight so am looking at the available accessories.  Show reply

Near Perfect Scoot – She's a big girl! She's heavy, she's powerful, she doesn't like tight corners. She copes really well with heavily crowned streets, just lock the front wheels. The pillion is just so comfortable, and she's got the power to look after your precious passenger. The three disc brakes have saved me from my carelessness on occasion. The three wheels mean… Read more ·  1

you don't have to have one third of your attention devoted to the road surface. Comfortable, reliable, powerful If she goes over, you won't be able to get her up by yourself.

disapointed – I bought my MP3400 as an used bike, 4 months old 600 ks on the clock. this is a very nice bike and handled really great i was very pleased and exited to find it so easy to ride and so comfortable just what i wanted, until things started to go wrong.... at 4 months old the head light would not work, not possible to purchase light globe i was… Read more

told had to purchase the whole front lighting assembly,( the 4 lights ). next the indicator switch on the left and the hydraulic + on off switch on the right had to be replaced, things went well for a while and yes, more problems, the bike is now only about 20 month old and the hydraulic sensor switch under the seat is, US and to purchase a new sensor switch i must purchase the seat and all, $500.00 plugs fitting enjoy your mp3 but be prepared to empty your pocket when things go wrong. energy efficient expensive

Good – Even being a 160cm (5"2')60kg rider I felt that I could handle this thing. Handing the key back to the dealer after a ride of several hours left me thinking of my first ride on a roller coaster with all of the adrenalin, thrill & a little fear charging through my system. The reaction from onlookers was almost as thrilling as the ride itself. The… Read more ·  1

storage is good, if a little shallow, the panneling behind the fairing could easily take a cup holder which maybe could be included in the next realease? Riding is a thirsty sport! The ride is incredibly smooth although bigger riders would be better to spend the extra $1000 & go for the 400cc, the bike demands the attention of other two wheelers & pedestrians alike The price, but it is a maxi & will take you wanting to go on longer more challenging rides, the handling is clumsy at lower speeds, a reverse gear would have been nice parking requires a little forward planning to ensure you're not stuck trying to push the bike backwards

Excellent – I have had this bike for 8 months now 9300 Km, Why all scooter rider are not riding this bike, I don't know. Its a fantastic safe machine. I'll never go back to those 2 wheelers I grew up with. Most bike shops have a demonstrator bike you can try before you buy. You won't be sorry. First class Safety on wet and slippery dusty roads. Plenty of… Read more ·  1

Storage plus full face helmet in back. A small dislike. The position of the control switches, with a pair of gloves on, after a while, my thumbs ache. Winscreen could be a little higher.

Excellent – This bike is fantastic. It is easy to ride and a lot of fun. The safety is very noticeable as the front end does not skip (not yet anyway) when going over the normal motorcycle hazards like pot-holes, road irregularities and gravel patches. I have ridden superbikes, 250s and a 50cc scooter(to save money - never again) and this bike is the best so… Read more ·  1

far for entertainment and use-ability. If you're in the market for a bike check out the MP3 for sure. I have just bought the MP3 400 and am very happy. It is a casual yet powerful ride. It is effortless in the hills and has plenty of power for the freeway. The bike is a real head-turner so you have to like attention, I've bought it to advertise my business so I'm expecting it to work well for me. It's very steady on its feet and you feel comfortable on any surface. I would have liked the fairing to cover my hands for high speeds and for the windscreen to be a bit higher. I was disappointed that my Shoei multitech full-face helmet did not fit at all in the storage compartments. I test rode the 250 and found it to be a bit underpowered considering the size and weight of the bike, it was still a lot of fun though. the MP3 400 is a top dollar bike but you'll be getting top dollar returns and fun.
