Yunca Monte eco - this is our second year with our Yunca and we are very impressed with the heater , easy to light and easily heats our 200m2 house and uses a lot less wood compared to the wood heater we had in our old house, can get 10+ hours overnight burn, looks great and the cooktop is handy also. Mostly burning redgum and yellow box . Purchased in June 2024 from North east homemaker centre in Wangaratta.

Yunca monte – I have a yunca monte at my home in Kyneton ,(purchased off Pivot)great fire connected to a wetback,starts well and is the best burner,tassie guy try starting with door open or check you flue height above roof line, I also have a melb home with a woodsman Flare ( both great Nz heaters and no pros there

Hardest fire to start – Please note I did not purchase this from Pivot, but a local Tasmanian store. A warming about this fireplace. It is incredibly hard to start. I've have many many fireplaces in different residences. This one takes the cake though. Often end up with smoke through the house while trying to get this thing going. Once it's going it is very good. Excellent slow burn. Simple design and a good usable hot plate on top.

As you wrote, you didn't buy the heater from us, but your 2 star review directly effects us...
There are multiple issues here that would cause your Yunca heater to be slow to start - mostly the flue : if the flue on any wood heater is not 100% right, your wood heater will struggle to get going until the temperature in the flue gets hot.
If you are not getting the support from where you purchased your heater from ( give them the poor review ) and allow us to assist you to get the best from your Yunca wood heater
