Old model great, new model is terrible – Headset died and refused to charge after a couple of months. Replacement set wouldn't hold charge. returned that as well. Now the latest replacement set has really bad blue tooth connection. Any time I am running with my watch on my left hand the connection gets interrupted by my body. It is OK when on my right hand. Seeing as around 90 per cent… Read more

of the population is right handed it is fair to assume that most people would wear their watch on their left hand. If music from the watch cannot be connected via blue tooth consistently then these headphones are useless to me.

Old model was great, 2100 has many faults – My Plantronics BB Fit 2100 have failed and will not charge , prior to this the buttons got stuck down which was annoying. This was my second set of plantronics sports headphones, I like the one piece form factor. The previous BB fit model worked well for 3 years and when they died (battery) I replaced it with the new 2100 model thinking I would… Read more

get another 3 years, however 1 year in I have had buttons intermittently getting stuck and now it will not charge at all. I'm researching other brands to get something reliable.

The old model was great ... The new Backbeat Fit 2100 is crappy – The old model was great ... The new Backbeat Fit 2100 is pretty bad. After few months fully charged I can even use it for may 45 min walk. Also the interface buttons is so bad you can put in a bag any slight contact the set switches ON. The company option rectification is very poor. Will never buy any product from this company again. Show details

Love, love, love them – Now, I like music. I like working out to music. Whether it be pop, rock, rap, RnB, Classical, Country (unless they are singing about their girlfriends leaving them and taking their dogs) or reggae, I will listen to it all and I find that corded earphones just don’t cut it when I am trying to throw tin around in my local gym or pretending I am… Read more

Eliud Kipchoge by hitting the streets (while listening to beats….see what I did there).

Enter Backbeat Fit 2

These things are just cool. With a range of funky colours available, I have found them to be stable and comfortable while doing a variety of vigorous activities – running, sprinting, box jumps, even burpees (I know, burpees are the most horrible exercise ever invented, but probably the best for testing earphones) didn’t see them budge at all and I was able to continue listening to Taylor Swift as she urged me to “Shake it off“.

Sweatproof I sweat. I sweat a lot while exercising. It’s gross. It’s wet. It’s human, get over it. But does it affect my Backbeat Fit headphones? No. Apparently, these bad boys are sweat-proof. Not waterproof though, so I can be blasting “Wrecking ball” while jumping into a swimming pool.

She cannae take it captain! We need more power! Surely even Elon Musk would be impressed by the staying power of these headphones. Almost as if you have your own personal Energizer bunny drumming away inside, keeping them charged, you’ll have “Power” to keep running and listening to whatever you want for 8 or so hours.

You may have guessed from how enamored I am with these headphones that I like them. Yes, I bloody well do. I have purchased numerous Bluetooth headphones over the years. Some were uncomfortable (seemingly crafted for ears that would belong on Roald Dahl’s BFG), were unstable (constantly falling out), lasted for approximately 5 reps of the first exercise after a warm-up at the gym or could not be heard when making a phone call – I even owned one pair that would disconnect when my phone was in my pocket (the effective range being approximately 40 cm).

My Backbeat Fit’s? No problems at all.

Good refurbished from Groupon – Great for price paid, works like new. Each came with thick heavy duty 4ft charger cable and a case that would fit on the wrist. Comfortable flexible neck band. Received in 4 days without shipping charge, wish they would use bubble wrap and box at least bubble wrap for better protection of products. I purchased 2 pairs, the charger indicator… Read more

light of one pair stayed red, when supposed to be blue fully charged. I know because when i turned it on and pushed the power button to tell me the level of power, it said Battery Full. I plugged it in again charge indicator light still red. ( As reading the directions on page 14 ManualsLib.com, i seen the page for Backbeat Fit Updater app for Plantronics ) It Corrected the problem with the light.

Am awaiting to verify the stand by time, play time perhaps within a couple of weeks. Made few calls at home other people could hear me well, awaiting to see how i sound walking around outside with the traffic noise and wind. I have owned 9 pairs of stereo headsets, the mics don't work as well with noise cancelling such as wind as the single headsets. When i had 6 pairs of Plantronics Backbeat 903+ only had connectivity issues 1 to 2 times per year. Music sounds Great! for headsets that are light weight, flexible for those who like the convenience of not having bulky headsets that fit over the ears. The design of the Backbeat Fit will be less breakable than the Backbeat 903+, lighter, less noticeable. Good for wearing around the home, work & physical activities

Plantronics could of made the earpiece a little bit longer where it goes into the ear, for those who prefer a little bit better base sound. the neck band i would like better if it were made of a stiffer flexible material as to lift up more from the neck like the Backbeat 903+, as with the Backbeat 903+ i can hear my surroundings as normal, that's much better than wearing earbuds or headset that surrounds the ears. I wish the Backbeat Fit would have a continuous tone like the Backbeat 903+ when phone is disconnected for if phone slips out of pocket, misplaced or falls out of holster.

Excellent Product, Good Quality – I've had these wireless earphones for a couple of months and I mostly love them. I was so sick and tired of having my wired earphones ripped out of my ears when I was doing tasks around the house (vacuuming, dusting etc) when I caught the wire on something or other. I listen to podcasts or music while doing mundane tasks to take my mind off it! … Read more

These headphones are super easy to set up, easy to charge etc. When turning them on you get a status report on battery strength, and connectivity which is good. They sit comfortably around my head and over my ears. My only issue is that the right side often feels very uncomfortable in my ear and can take quite a bit of fiddling to get comfortable. As this is the side with the on-off control that's fortunate because if it was the other side (which has the volume control) I'd be constantly having to readjust them for comfort. It's clearly just my physiology but I was a little surprised not to have some different sized earpieces to choose from.

The battery life is very good - I don't usually wear them for more than a couple of hours at a time so can go a few uses without charging.

The wireless range is also good - the way I use them means that I place my phone centrally in the house and then go about my boring jobs. It isn't until I forget and move to go outside that I start to lost signal. I can tell as soon as it starts to happen which means I can backtrack to pick up the phone without missing any of the podcast.

I haven't used them while exercising but would have no hesitation in recommending them for that purpose and would happily have the same product again.

Perfect for active listening – Great headphones /earbuds. The design of the bud is such that a rubber bulb fits into the ear rather than the speaker itself. This is not only more comfortable but safer, as you can hear a little of what is going on around you :traffic etc. Show details

Completely changed my running and gym sessions! – Loving my new plantronics backbeat fit 2100! I've always been a headphones into phone with cord runner and got sick of them pulling and getting tangled. Wireless headphones are a legit godsend as I can run freely and get into a better stride. Also when riding my bike they don't get tangled. The volume controls are great and how they tell you in… Read more

Excellent battery life.

Can't have my hair hanging down as it knocks it annoying me but I have it in a bun most days anyway, doesn't sit on my neck either which I love.

I have tiny lobes so while the left doesn't sit in completely flush there is no risk of losing it like buds.

Wireless cordless earphones – Wanted wireless cordless earphones for a while and were gifted these. Took a little while to get used to plugging in my ears but now I’m used to them they are just perfect. Great sound quality and quite comfortable. I use them when walking and do a little bit of running and they stay in great.

Poor quality – While I like the two earpieces being connected and wrapped around my ears the battery is not holding charge after maybe 24 months and there is no way to find a replacement battery. Built in obsolescence drives me nuts!  Show details

New model doesn't hold charge – I've had multiple pairs of these for years and had been awesome, all died by my fault. Use them daily all day at work. Bought the new model holds charge for about 30 minutes, the sound is different. Now need to find out how to get them replaced from manufacturer. Not happy at all with the new model. Hope I can find my old set somewhere. Show details

Multiple headsets DOA – I purchased one of these headsets on 23/12 from JBHifi in Canberra, to replace an older BackBeat Fit 2 that had lasted since 2016 without issues. The first set wouldn't turn on after twelve hours charging, and the set I received as a replacement under warranty today holds a charge only long enough to say "low power", then also fails. I'm done,… Read more

I'll be replacing these with something else. I'm really disappointed, since this will mean choosing a headset with a different form factor that doesn't suit me as well.

Great, until they're not – I've had several sets of these and the sound is great, obviously no wires is perfect for running but they don't connect to devices easily, the bluetooth is frustratingly bad and they seem to work and then stop for some reason, just won't take charge anymore and won't turn on. Show details

Do not last - 2 pairs haven't made 2 years – Purchased original pair that decided to stop working in one ear before the 2 year mark. Warranty replaced with a new pair that after 15 months will no longer charge. Plantronics only honour the 2 year warranty from the original purchase so will not help with a 15 month pair Show details

Uncomfortable, difficult to pair and poor sound quality – Bought these at the airport and wish I hadn't this is a bad experience, it was really tedious to get bluetooth to be recognised by my phone and watch, they make my ears hurt, the sound drops in and out constantly and is grainy and awful. Not great would not recommend! Show details

Overly sensitive charging port – First pair that I bought about 2 years ago was fantastic but have since bought two of the newer look model and have had to return both as faulty due to the charging port, both of which stopped charging unless I physically held the charger and headphones. Won't buy again and don't recommend. Show details

Didn't suit my ears or something. Sound was terrible – Bought these after such positive reviews but I never got any sound out of them other than very tinny high pitched sound that wasn't very loud - too quiet for a shopping centre or street, as if the earpiece didn't fit my ears properly. I usually like earbud shaped earphones that don't go in your ear canal but this one really wasn't usable for me. I… Read more

Priced above their sound quality – For someone where headphones that seal in the ear don't fit properly and fallout these are one of the few styles that work well. The sound quality for the price is disappointing but BT headphones in general are over priced. They fit nice and secure good for a run or gym workout without cords, when I don't require those specifics I would opt for a different style of headphones with better sound quality. Show details
