Cheaper is not the best – Hi had both the spitfire and renegade pope line trimmer both had been very hard to start and keep running both stoped dead when they wanted too had almost given up but after wasting so much time and money I gave up and my boys have them now and I am using the latest honda 4 stroke the best I have used easy start and way light best ever

No good – Bought it a few weeks back this line trimmer is quite hard to start and cuts off quite often I should have invested in a better brand Cheap is not always good

Fantastic for the home gardener – I have used this whipper sniper for nearly 3 yrs now and have had no problems. it starts great every time and doesn't cut off, great little whipper sniper prefect for the home gardener and for people on a budget. it was very easy to assemble took 30mlns and i was out the back cutting grass in no time. cheap, reliable, does the job right the motor gets a bit hot, so try not to touch Show 2 replies

Would not start easily and shut off very quickly – 1. It's not easy to start it up, would have to pull the string at least 10 times, after which it would start. 2. It would not stay running for long and would shut off after few minutes, after which the sting needs to be pulled few time to get it up again. 3. If the trimmer is moved while trimming the grass, petrol spills out of the small hole in the cap Nothing Starting / keep it running

Could be a lot better – Bought item. Being a female I thought I had the problem found instructions hard to follow. Got a male to help even he had problems. Got unit together and then had problems starting it, This happens everytime. Now I have run out of line and the instructions to replace are just pictures..... I need words. And I have check with BIG W where I bought it and Pope and the information there make me very glad I have a good collection of older more reliable equipement with clear and concise instructions and which still work. I may have got a dud as this can happen so I will make it a neutral review. If the replacement is the same then I can change to negatvie. Price Instructions, starting unit, changing line to cut
