Buyer beware! – By far the worst machinery investment I have ever made. Advertised as a solar back up generator, this product has no effective warranty. Ours lasted approximately 20 running hours before malfunctioning, after contacting the manufacturer I was told the generator was portable and must be taken to Braeside for service. The generator weighs 400kg and is hard wired to the solar system. There are no accredited mobile technicians and the company will not help in any way. Once a qualified mechanic informed the manufacturer the generator was blowing smoke due to a failure in quality control, was told the warranty was void and they "would not touch it." Unfortunately you would be better off buying a cheap Chinese unit, such a let down for Aussie manufacturers.

Purchased in for $8,500.

Poor Warranty Experience – My issue is not so much with the generator as it has been very good, plenty of power to run anything I need and the Honda engine is bulletproof, my rating is aimed at the poor after sales service which makes it very hard to recommend a Pramac generator. I purchased the Pramac S12000 in July 2017. A couple of weeks before the warranty was due I had an issue with the muffler breaking. After going back and forth with the dealer over a few weeks I was informed that a new muffler would be sent out to me and I would replace it myself, there was none in Australia apparently. Fast forward almost 10 weeks later and I still haven’t been sent a new muffler and have no idea what is going on. I contacted Pramac directly and received no response. The 12 month warranty from Pramac was worth nothing in my case

Update, after 4 months Pramac informed me that a new muffler was ready to be shipped out to me, unfortunately this was too late as I had already had the muffler repaired out of my own pocket.
