Horrible experience all around dealing with the owner Barray Massie since accepting “premium fences and walls” quote. Quote request was for the highest possible fence with metal sleepers and no gaps along the bottom. We already had existing fence that was used as example. Was quoted a 2.4m fence with two rows of sleepers along the bottom. With removal of the old fence.

What ended up with was posts installed at 2.8m apart for sleepers that are only 2.4m long,

The owner Barray Massie from premium fences and walls informed us this is how @stratco told him to install the sleepers, also missing a full row of sleepers with 3x sections of fencing off the ground. The whole point of using sleepers is so they can go on the ground.

I contacted @stratco who provided us with the engineering requirements for installation of the fence clearly specified 2.4m max distance for posts.

We have one side of the new fence is lower than the existing fence by 150mm, with is the same distance as the missing row of sleepers.

There are gaps in multiple places under the sleepers that were meant to be for retaining. With one section the sleeper has gaps on both the top and bottom.

We also still have concrete blocks sitting against the fence from the old posts and concrete footings from the old fence.

If you don’t really care what you get at the end then there’s no problem using premium fences and walls if you’re looking for what you paid for and quality finish, shop around more.

Make sure you get it writing, before they start and don’t pay them until they fix all the issues.

In our case all the posts need to be removed and replaced at 2.4m apart to match the length of the sleepers, and there needs to be two rows of sleepers high as per their quote.
