Pureheat Odyssey Eco Series

odyssey heater – the eco Odyssey is a good heater I like the idea the timer is simple to use, I have had digital timers before and they tend to be confusing and break down to easily. The larger size heater really heats the room fast, I would surely recommend them to anyone Dave

Very primitive noisy heater – I am very disappointed with the Odyssey 4.5 KW wall mounted heater. The heater is very noisy so it's not possible to talk on the phone or to have a conversation in the room while it's on. The timer is primitive (and we can't get it to work) and resembles the tap timers used 30 years ago to control garden watering. We had expected it to be digital. The electrician who installed it was surprised at how primitive it was with no uptake of modern technology (such as a digital timer). We purchased it because it was made in Australia but I'll think twice about doing that in future. The only good thing about this heater is that it does warm the room reasonably quickly.

Very good heater – I have found this heater to be excellent, it runs efficiently and economically, I would recommend the heater to anyone. I also love the stylish look and that it is Australian made. The timer is easy to use not like so many other appliances with electronic timers which are hard to work out.
useless – will not run more than 5 minutes even when the room temp is 15 degrees am in rental accommodation and can't do a darned thing about this heater except freeze also cannot find anywhere that shows the costing for running this heater, have to use a 3 bar radiator for heating but that does not keep whole unit warm.
This is a lemon? – I bought the heater on I June 2013. Day one, it performed brilliantly. I cannot recall day 2 so it must have been okay. Since then I wondered wht happened to the "instant warmth" I had been promised. If you are staning about 2 metres away, it is definitely cool air. If you are standing next to the vent it is warm air. Definitely NOT what was promised!
I intend to take it back to the place of purchase and try something else. Looks nice. Does not provide the heating promised.
Thanks Geoff. I bought it after measuring the room, providing the dimensions to the retailer and discussing with the retailer. I had no issues with the return.
I have had one for the last two years and have been very happy with it, but in the last week even on the highest setting it is little more than warm at best.

Hey Deep, I bought one of these last year and it's fantastic! Best heat and cheap to run. Sounds like your trying to heat the town hall mate
