Falls off on a hot day. It's okay for maybe 6 months. I had two units in two cars and they both fell off. You can wash them with detergent to get the dirt off but still doesn't help it stick. They did upgrade this unit and I bought a third newer version but it's still rubbish. For what it's worth, I recycled my old GoPro suction cup mount no… Read more

longer used. I was able to McGyver the bracket using the ball head of the Quad Lock mount and it works really well. No sign of falling off in hot weather.

Utter crap. It doesn’t use suction to attach as it’s meant to, instead it glues itself to the mount. When you try to remove the unit to reuse it elsewhere it rips apart and becomes a piece of unusable junk. I see others have had the same issue. I have tried to get a refund or replacement via the warranty but as yet I have not heard a peep from… Read more

them. That’s two attempts over two weeks. It is not worth a toss it seems, much like the product. All hype and no trousers!

Purchased November 2022, after 11 months wouldn't stick in hot weather. Dangerous as it fell off whilst driving and ended up under my feet. Contacted Quad Lock who wanted photos and a video. They sent a replacement and the same thing happened. They refused to replace it because the original warranty had expired. They offered 20% discount to… Read more

purchase a new one. As if I would! I even offered to pay the difference to purchase the stronger suction mount, which they refused. Obviously we have to wonder why they have bothered to introduce this product. Read reviews online and save your money and buy something that works.

Average - as you cant use it in very hot weather since it falls off the windscreen at high temperatures – During the cooler weather the suction mount system works well. Good angles are able to be achieved for phone placement etc. Mine is the V5 version. However during the hotter weather in summer of say between 32 degrees and higher, the screen suction mount falls to the floor of the car. Despite various attempts to reinstall using the suction system it fails in hot weather. To me its only useful 8 months of the year. Show details

More cost, less quality – Paid an arm and a leg for this but thought it would be worth the money. Mounted this as per the instructions. Lasted one day before the base plate component peeled off under the weight of a small iphone 12. The mount rolled under my wife brake pedal. Save your money, buy any other brand. Show details

Not suitable for warm weather - according to Quadlock! – Great for a while and then if it gets hot it falls off. It only has one job to do - not fall off. I have 3 of these and they all do it. Frustrating and dangerous when it happens at the wrong time. Support wanted me to video the mount falling off before they would consider a warranty claim - simply ridicules. Quadlock now have a heavy duty… Read more

mount that it claims doesn't fall off in "extreme heat". This is an obvious admission that the "normal" mount is not fit for purpose. I won't be buying this new one as the support is as bad as the product. So in short, unfit product and very poor support. There are better options.

Quadlock Disappointments – Several of these QuadlockSuction Windscreen / Dash Mounts were were purchased from Quadlock believing what the manufacturers advocated in their advertising. The design concept is, without question, very good with a reliable device attachment, (connect your device and rotate 90 degrees) but in Australia’s hot days, the mounts as a whole do not… Read more

remain attached to the windscreen. Even though the manufacturers suction mounting directions are repeatedly followed closely, they fall off in hot ambient temperatures

They remain in place for a period yes, but they fall off especially when least expected and can end up on the floor or entwined with one’s feet while driving…. a serious safety issue. After several times dropping off, the very flexible, non-replaceable, suction pad increasingly began to show cracks which thinking persons would consider will increase the drop-off problem.

Unfortunately and surprisingly, raising this problem with Quadlock and simply questioning whether I had a QA manufacturing problem unbeknown to them with the suction pad, got an unexpected response. Without discussion, they wanted a video of their unit falling from the windscreen and the receipt before continuing. From online comments there are many other other QuadlockSuction Windscreen / Dash Mount owners who have had the same problem and raised it with Quadlock. They received the same unacceptable response from Quadlock.

My unit was increasingly becoming usable as expected despite both the windscreen being cleaned scrupulously with isopropanol and the suction pad cleaned according tomanufacturer’s directions. In desperation, I did conduct an experiment. Rather than applying dry, moistening the suction pad with water before attaching to the windscreen yielded unexpected results. It has remained in place now for a over a month , even when the car is parked in Queensland’s sun with the windows up. You decide if you want to buy one?
