Rain Bird ESP-RZXe WiFi Smart Controller

Does NOT work more than it does work – Waiting for response from controller - this is what you get most days. Followed by no response received by rainbird server. Works for a few days, sometimes 3-5 weeks straight, then WIFI disconnects and fails to respond. So you have to remove WIFI dongle now flashing the wrong colours, delete the system, and start again. Really annoying. If I knew in 2019 that for the next 5 years this would not work more than 70% of the time I would not have bought it. I cannot receommend this to anyone who wants WIFI connectivity, they have not got this one right. When it does work it is fantastic gaining 1 star, but the failure rate is not worth the aggravation this thing causes.

Communicationfault is resolved – You can follow the instructions, but at the end the app gives a communication fault.

The bees Knees – I installed it with the WiFi chip added, very night it updates the runtimes from the internet , its never wrong and has saved me heaps in water and the garden is much better for it.

Not user friendly- always not working – We got a landscaper to recommend and install a Rainbird irrigation system installed in our garden along with a wifi connection thinking we can operate it from any location to stop/ start watering based on weather conditions. This was a such a disappointment. Every time we want to operate from outside our home network its always trying to connect but 90% of the time it comes back as being unable to connect. If you are a consumer thinking of installing the same brand please be aware of this. Thanks.
