Love the look but totally impractical. Great looking tap for cold water use only! – Great tap if you really only use cold water! To get warm or hot water ,the tap needs to be turned on fully thus the the water pressure is full on no regulation to adjust and this causes splashing to surrounding basin area. Great looks over practical functionality! – The twist top basin mixers are so impracticle with NO adjustable flow for anything but cold water. water for no reason like you would a normal mixer as majority of the time you're mostly washing hands/ brushing teeth (hot water not really necessary).

In the shower all I need to do is turn the mixer 3/4's of the way around which is full pressure/warm water and there ya go... super easy! Even my 9 year old daughter loves them!

All show, no go – Milli progressive mixers simply don't work as expected nor are suitable for supplying anything but cold water at a flow that's anything but flat out. We are so disappointed with these mixers. Have tiled up 8 in total into finished bathrooms ensuites and have to redo the entire project again at an estimated cost of approx $6000. Thanks Milli. stunning looks. Unlike all other "mixer-type" taps, the Axon features a single "elegant cylindrical" control, which the user turns clockwise much like a normal "cold" tap. The idea of the "innovative" technology is that the mixer gives you a variable flow of cold water until you reach the 90 degree angle of rotation and then supposedly adds hot water as you turn it all the way to the end, while reducing the cold, which is then meant to give you a full flow of hot.

I was suspicious of this technology and was delighted to see that my Reece store had an Axon Black Sink Mixer in their plumbed display of taps in their showroom. To my disappointment I was informed that the display was only attached to cold water so there was no way to check how well the actual "mixer" function worked. In the end we decided the design would go perfectly in our newly built, black and white tiled ensuite so we bought 2 mixer taps and the Black and Chrome Shower mixer.

We have a solar hot water system which stores the solar hot water in a 315ltr tank with an instantaneous gas "booster heater." The gas heater requires a certain flow of hot water before it cuts in, but as the tank is full of solar heated water, one would assume the mixer would work fairly well even with this setup. As we every bought plumbing-related item from Reece and were told it would all work well together, we took the plunge.

Every time we use our Axon Mixers for heated water, we have to go through a routine of turning the tap on to "full hot", then gently rotate anti-clockwise until the temperature is something other scalding. With the Shower Mixer, one has to constantly adjust the flow chasing a comfortable temperature but must always check before placing a body part under the shower head. The Sink Mixer is simply won't give you hot water unless on full. You then MIGHT be able to reduce the temperature by turning the tap anti-clockwise infanticimally between full/scalding-hot and about 5 degrees of rotation to the left, whereupon you get cold water again. You would think that your plumber could perform some internal adjustment to change the ratios of hot/cold, but no such luck. We even called Reece and asked if maybe a different model of Milli Shower mixer "internals" could just screw into the housing of the Axon mixer. Once again the answer: "No". To change the shower mixer to something more functional will require a complete redo of the shower wall requiring both plumber and tiler.

We now have a beautiful ensuite bathroom that never fails to get a positive critique from anyone who sees it. The problem is that using anything but cold water drives us INSANE!
